A simple hop on the head will kill them off, as well as hats. As you make your way to the right you'll see some holes in the ground. These holes lead to small caverns full of enemies, as well as health items and hats. Fall into the first hole to find hats, a few enemies, and a heart at the bottom. Use the springs to leave. Keep to the right and simply kill everything in your way. Jump in the second hole to get more stuff like hats, hearts, and bread. The third hole will have items and enemies, and the fourth hole will have the key for this area. The keys lead to Speedy's buddies, so quickly save them and leave to continue. You'll need to find the keys to get the EXIT sign. Finish collecting everything in the fourth hole and collect any remaining items. Return to the surface and head right to find the EXIT sign at the end. The Rocky Mountains =================== Head right and avoid any holes or flowers. Some holes will have snakes, and the flowers will cause damage if you get close. Also remember not to stay still or the falling rocks may get you. Make your way across the mountains, and stay as high as possible to ensure you don't fall and die. Head down when you reach the third mountain and look for the blue key in front of a hole. Free the trapped mouse and leave. Head right and get to the top of the next mountain to cross a long bridge reach the exit. The Dry Lands ============= Another desert area, and this time an annoying vulture will be swooping down to attack you. Simply head right and jump into the holes. Some of the holes will be guarded by a snake that appears when you get near, so make sure to jump straight into the hole in order to kill the snake. The first three holes will be empty or have the usual items and spiders, but the fourth hole is where you'll find the blue key. Return to the third hole after you free the mouse to find the EXIT sign inside and to the right. Boss: Vulture ============= Sylvester will fly around hanging from a vulture and dropping TNTs. You will have to pick up one TNT at a time by pressing Down, then throw it up with button 2. Time it so that the TNT blows up just as it hits Sylvester. All it takes it 6 hits to take him out and move on. -------------------------------------------------------------------- 3.2 Sylvester's Island of Danger -------------------------------------------------------------------- A Weekend In Hawaii 1 ===================== Man, this one's easy. I made it through the first time without a hit. Just head right, and kill any crabs along the way. Lava drops will fall as you head to the right, so never remain in one spot too long. Some areas will have floating chunks of rock. Jump on them when they get near. You'll find the green key on a little island right after the staring island. The key will be on the bottom level. Run right from there to get to the sign at the end. A Weekend In Hawaii 2 ===================== This is just like the last area. Make your way to the right, and always look ahead for the next chunk of ground. The key will be at the end of the area. Free the mouse inside and then get the EXIT sign. The Lake of Piranhas ==================== Swim your way to the right, and don't even bother swimming below the top of the lake. There's only enemies and other obstacles down there. So, stick to the top. Swim down when you reach a second bunch of trees to find the green key. It will be between two patches of tan water. Swim right and all the way to the bottom to find the EXIT sign. Let the octopus swim up before you go for it. Boss: Row Boat ============== Sylvester will be floating around in a row boat this time, and dropping anchors on your head! But don't worry because Speedy can use that handy clam to pop the anchors back up to Sylvester. Press button 1 to toss the anchors and hit Sylvester. It takes about 20 hits, but it's 20 easy hits. -------------------------------------------------------------------- 3.3 The Faces of Sylvester -------------------------------------------------------------------- Sylvester's Scaffolding ======================= Bah, another easy one. The twist in this area is that a storm cloud will follow Speedy as he runs around, releasing bolts of lightning along the way. This simply means you can't stay in one spot too long, so keep it movin'! You'll find the blue key near the end of the area, on the ground. Run to the right after you grab the key and run past the fence to reach the sign. The River of Paint ================== This area's not tough either. Just remember to avoid the blue spikes at all costs because one hit will kill you. Also avoid the shots from the guns above, and keep swimming along until you reach the EXIT at the end. Mount Sylvester =============== Run to the far right until you see the rope. Pick it up, then hold Up and press button 1 to pull yourself up the platforms. Go up and right, then follow the platforms to the left. You should find a heart and bread along the way. Head right again and climb up the first platforms to get up to the third level. Run to the far left to find some items, as well as a 1-UP on the left. That's an extra life right there, so jump down and get it! Climb up again and get to the very top. Head left along the top platforms to find a bread and the green key. Save the buddy and return to the right to find the EXIT. Boss: Glowing Balloons ====================== Here Sylvester will pump balloons and send them after you, but these balloons can cause damage with one hit. What you can do is hop on them, or use the infinite amount of hats to pop them. Beat Sylvester by jumping on the platform and hitting him with 16 hats. -------------------------------------------------------------------- 3.4 Inside Sylvester's Lair -------------------------------------------------------------------- The Wall of Peril ================= Head all the way to the right, along the ground if you like. Watch out for the cannons and the... walking sandals? Whatever they are, they won't bother you. You'll eventually hit a wall, so jump on the platforms and run over it. Get to the area on the right and grab the green key from the bottom-left corner. The EXIT will be just to the right of that spot. The High Voltage Zone ===================== Oy, this one's tough. You have to make your way to the right while avoiding the electricity running through the wires, as well as some pink tongue monsters. Just avoid the tongue monsters altogether by jumping over them. Use the springs between the two green circuits to continue on. Look down after you pass the first tongue monster and you'll find the key and a heart. Grab both and move on to find the EXIT sign on a high platform to the right. The Cheese Factory ================== Here you'll be surrounded by a bunch of machinery, including some green robotic mice. Bounce on them or use hats to destroy them. Head right to find some electric bolts. These bolts will hit you no matter what, so jump through the two of them and continue. Hop up on the moving platforms and onto the red bricks on the left to find some cheese and replace the heart you lost with the bolts. Climb up the next platforms and get past a tongue monster, then head into the tunnel in the top-right corner and find the green key. Save the buddy and return to the bottom, where you'll find the EXIT on the far right side. Boss: Electric Bike =================== Sylvester's latest contraption is a bike that generates electricity. Some small electricity bolts will run along the ground and take half a heart, and the two big bolts in the middle of the room will kill you instantly. Avoid those at all costs. To attack Sylvester you'll need to collect a bomb from between the two bolts and throw it from that same spot. Press button 2 to throw the bomb and make it land under Sylvester. It only takes 10 hits to blow him up. Final boss: Evil Crane! ======================= Yup, Sylvester's final attempt at catching Speedy is a large green crane. The yellow hooks won't actually hurt you, in fact the only way to die is by falling in the melted cheese. TNTs will appear in the air as the cheese floats across the screen, and you'll need to use those TNTs to hit Sylvester. Wait about 1 and a half seconds and toss the TNT up to hit Sylvester just as it blows up. You will only need to hit Sylvester 6 times to finally finish him off and end the game. --- Congratulations, you just saved Speedy's girlfriend and all of his other buddies. Enjoy the ending, and...
