Choose your prefered class wisely, and to the style of which you wish to play. /-----------------------------------------------------------------------------\ | [6.1.1] Scoundrel | \-----------------------------------------------------------------------------/ Description: A skillful rogue that gets by on stealth and guile. The Scoundrel is a good class for those who don't want to enter into a lot of combat. As the Scoundrel, you will be able to sneak by enemies, silently kill some of them, and get around by scrounging whatever items you can find. This class is a balance of the Scout and Soldier. /-----------------------------------------------------------------------------\ | [6.1.2] Scout | \-----------------------------------------------------------------------------/ Description: An explorer most at home on the fringes of space. The Scout is a good class for exploring. The Scout has a bit faster starting stats, and chooses not to fight. /-----------------------------------------------------------------------------\ | [6.1.3] Soldier | \-----------------------------------------------------------------------------/ Description: A battle-ready fighter with no equal in combat. The Soldier, the bread and butter of any RPG. As the Soldier, you will have access to all the powerful weapons, armor and items. As a Soldier, your feats are more important than Force Powers, and as such, your Power Points will not climb as high as the other classes. STARTING FEATS: Armor Proficiency: Light Armor Proficiency: Medium Armor Proficiency: Heavy Power Attack -> Power Blast Weapon Proficiency: Blaster Pistol Weapon Proficiency: Blaster Rifle Weapon Proficiency: Heavy Weapons Weapon Proficiency: Melee Weapons =============================================================================== /-----------------------------------------------------------------------------\ | [6.2] Sex | \-----------------------------------------------------------------------------/ While you may not think it, your choice of gender has a fairly big impact on the game. Certain people may be more willing to talk to a female, but a male may be able to threaten people more successfully. Dialogue is also different, as more people seem to hit on the females, while people talk more meanly toward males. =============================================================================== /-----------------------------------------------------------------------------\ | [6.3] Portrait | \-----------------------------------------------------------------------------/ This is a cosmetic choice only. Pick one you like, since you'll be staring at it for the entire duration of the game. =============================================================================== /-----------------------------------------------------------------------------\ | [6.4] Attributes | \-----------------------------------------------------------------------------/ Description: The attributes of your character apply bonuses or penalities to everything from combat to skill checks to Force powers. Check each attribute to see which assets of game play it can affect. Basically, you should choose what you want to focus on. If you are a soldier who wants to focus on two-handed fighting, be sure to invest points into two-hand proficiency. /-----------------------------------------------------------------------------\ | [6.4.1] Strength | \-----------------------------------------------------------------------------/ Description: Strength measures physical power. A high Strength adds modifiers to melee damage and chance to hit, which is important for characters that use close-combat weapons (vibroblades, lightsabers). If you plan on being a melee fighter, put a fair amount of points into this. Melee weapons includes fighting bare handed, lightsabers, vibroblades, swords, knives, and anything that requires you to be right next to your opponent. /-----------------------------------------------------------------------------\ | [6.4.2] Dexterity | \-----------------------------------------------------------------------------/ Description: Dexterity measures agility and reflexes. A high Dexterity adds modifiers to ranged attack rolls (blasters, grenades) and increases a character's Defense rating, making them harder to hit. You should put some good points into Dexterity, since it increases your chances of successfully hitting a target, and makes you harder to hit, which will come in very handy. /-----------------------------------------------------------------------------\ | [6.4.3] Constitution | \-----------------------------------------------------------------------------/ Description: Constitution represents health and resiliency. A high Constitution adds modifiers to the vitality points gained at each level-up. This is important for everyone, but essential for soldiers and Jedi guardians. Vitality = health. The more health you have, the longer you can fight before going down. /-----------------------------------------------------------------------------\ | [6.4.4] Intelligence | \-----------------------------------------------------------------------------/ Description: Intelligence represents knowledge and reasoning. A high Intelligence adds modifiers to the number of points a character has to spend on essential skills. The higher your Intelligence, the lower the points you have to spend. With a high Intelligence level, you may be able to upgrade a skill that requires three points for just one point. /-----------------------------------------------------------------------------\ | [6.4.5] Wisdom | \-----------------------------------------------------------------------------/ Description: Wisdom represents willpower and perception. A high Wisdom adds modifiers to Jedi Force Points and Force Power saving throws. The Force Powers of a Jedi with high Wisdom are also much harder to resist. With high Wisdom, your Force Powers have a better chance of hitting and a less chance of being blocked, while Force Powers used against you will have a better chance of not connecting. /-----------------------------------------------------------------------------\ | [6.4.6] Charisma | \-----------------------------------------------------------------------------/ Description: Charisma represents personality and the ability to lead. A high Charisma adds modifiers to Force-related feats and powers that are very important to all the Jedi classes. It is also central to any persuasive talker. The higher your Charisma, the better your chances of pursuading someone to see things your way or to give you things. =============================================================================== /-----------------------------------------------------------------------------\ | [6.5] Skills | \-----------------------------------------------------------------------------/ Description: Each of your character's skills has a number associated with it. This is the skill "rank" and determines how good the character is with that skill. When using a skill to perform an action, the rank is compared against a Difficulty Check (DC) number. For example, to open a lock with a DC of 15, take your skill rank in Security + Wisdom modifier to +d20 roll. If the total is 15 or greater, the lock is opened. Do you want your character to be a skilled hacker? Put points into Computer Use. Do you want to be able to recover mines? Demolitions is your answer. Do you want to sneak around? Go for Stealth. Do you want to pick locks and steal any goodies? Choose Security. /-----------------------------------------------------------------------------\ | [6.5.1] Computer Use | \-----------------------------------------------------------------------------/ Related Attribute: Intelligence Computer Use allows a character to slice computer programs using disposable lobic rams called computer spikes. A character might disable gun turrets or flood a patrol area, with more complicated tasks requiring more spikes. A high rank in this skill reduces the number of spikes required by 1 (to a minimum of 1) for every 4 points total, including attribute score modifiers. /-----------------------------------------------------------------------------\ | [6.5.2] Demolitions | \-----------------------------------------------------------------------------/ ** Coming Soon ** /-----------------------------------------------------------------------------\ | [6.5.3] Stealth | \-----------------------------------------------------------------------------/ ** Coming Soon ** /-----------------------------------------------------------------------------\ | [6.5.4] Awareness | \-----------------------------------------------------------------------------/ ** Coming Soon ** /-----------------------------------------------------------------------------\ | [6.5.5] Pursuade | \-----------------------------------------------------------------------------/ ** Coming Soon ** /-----------------------------------------------------------------------------\ | [6.5.6] Repair | \-----------------------------------------------------------------------------/ ** Coming Soon ** /-----------------------------------------------------------------------------\ | [6.5.7] Security | \-----------------------------------------------------------------------------/ ** Coming Soon ** /-----------------------------------------------------------------------------\ | [6.5.8] Treat Injury | \-----------------------------------------------------------------------------/ ** Coming Soon ** =============================================================================== /-----------------------------------------------------------------------------\ | [6.6] Feats | \-----------------------------------------------------------------------------/ Description: Some feats allow you to use special items like heavy armor or implants. Other feats modify saving throws and skill checks during the game. And some feats (POWER ATTACK) are used during combat. Check the description for details on a specific feat. =============================================================================== /-----------------------------------------------------------------------------\ | [6.7] Name | \-----------------------------------------------------------------------------/ What do you want to be called throughout the game? For this walkthrough, I chose the name Ferc Degana. It was one of the pre-selected ones. =============================================================================== /-----------------------------------------------------------------------------\ | [7] XP Points and Level-Up | \-----------------------------------------------------------------------------/ Whenever you acquire enough experience points, your character will level up. You get more points to increase stats, additional feats, additional attributes, and eventually, additional Force Powers. /-----------------------------------------------------------------------------\ | [7.1] XP Points Requirement Chart | \-----------------------------------------------------------------------------/ |^^^^^^^|^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^| | Level | XP Required | |^^^^^^^|^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^| | | | | 1 | 0 | | 2 | 1,000 | | 3 | 3,000 | | 4 | 6,000 | | 5 | 10,000 | | 6 | 15,000 | | 7 | 21,000 | | 8 | 28,000 | | 9 | 36,000 | | 10 | 45,000 | | 11 | 55,000 | | 12 | 66,000 | | 13 | 78,000 | | 14 | 91,000 | | 15 | 105,000 | | 16 | 120,000 | | 17 | 136,000 | | 18 | 153,000 | | 19 | 171,000 | | 20 | 190,000 | | | | |^^^^^^^|^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^| =============================================================================== /-----------------------------------------------------------------------------\ | [8] Party Members | \-----------------------------------------------------------------------------/ Bastila Location : Taris Class : Jedi Alignment : Light ********************** Canderous Location : Taris Class : Soldier Alignment : Dark ********************** Carth Location : Endar Spire/Taris Class : Soldier Alignment : Light ********************** HK-47 Location : Tatooine Class : Droid, Combat Alignment : Dark ********************** Jolee Bindo Location : Kashyyyk Class : Jedi Consular Alignment : Light ********************** Juhani Location : Dantooine Class : Jedi Guardian Alignment : Light ********************** Mission Location : Taris (with Zaalbar) Class : Scoundrel Alignment : Light ********************** T3-M4 Location : Taris Class : Droid, Expert Alignment : Neutral ********************** Zaalbar Location : Taris (with Mission) Class : Scout Alignment : Neutral =============================================================================== /-----------------------------------------------------------------------------\ | [9] Force Powers | \-----------------------------------------------------------------------------/ ** Coming Soon ** /-----------------------------------------------------------------------------\ | [9.1] Dark Powers | \-----------------------------------------------------------------------------/ ** Coming Soon ** /-----------------------------------------------------------------------------\ | [9.2] Light Powers | \-----------------------------------------------------------------------------/ ** Coming Soon ** /-----------------------------------------------------------------------------\ | [9.3] Universal Powers | \-----------------------------------------------------------------------------/ ** Coming Soon ** =============================================================================== /-----------------------------------------------------------------------------\ | [10] Jedi Classes | \-----------------------------------------------------------------------------/ ** Coming Soon ** =============================================================================== /-----------------------------------------------------------------------------\ | [11] Walkthrough Introduction | \-----------------------------------------------------------------------------/ For this walkthrough, I chose a MALE SOLDIER who will be following the dark side. For the most part, the walkthrough will be linear, and to follow it exactly, you'd have to pick the same choices as me. Once I finish with this walkthrough, I'll create one for the light side, and when I'm done that, I'll explore every available way to do something so as to make this a complete guide. This walkthrough is also meant to get you through the game as quickly as is possibly, while also doing every side quest, so a lot of backstory won't be revealed. If you want, you can always ask people questions, but it won't be covered here. Since you have the option of visiting other planets in whatever order you want, your course may differ from mine. If this is the case, simply jump to the walkthrough section of the planet you are on. I'm not sure if item distribution is random, so if I see a corpse that gives me 30 credits, and you don't, don't worry. Whenever you have the option of choosing an answer, I will put that answer wrapped in *********, so you know which answer to choose. This will be the evil answer, though, as this walkthrough is written for the dark side. Whenever you encounter text that is wrapped @@@@@@@@@, it means it is entries from your journal. This is usually found in the section of the walkthrough at the same time as it updates in the game. /-----------------------------------------------------------------------------\ | [11.1] Area 1: Endar Spire | \-----------------------------------------------------------------------------/ The game opens. You are sleeping on your bed. Suddenly, the ship comes under attack, and a man rushes in to get you. ******************************************************************************* * * * FIRST ANSWER: Who are you? * * * * SECOND ANSWER: Forget it - I'm looking after my own skin! * * * * THIRD ANSWER: Oath or no oath - I'm heading to the escape pods! * * * * FOURTH ANSWER: Okay. * * * ******************************************************************************* @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@ @ @ @ Attack on the Endar Spire @ @ @ @ Endar Spire - Command Module: The Endar Spire is under attack. You will unlock the door. Go through the door, and you see a lonely soldier fighting two Sith. The soldier goes down, and leaves you to fight them. This is your first battle, and it's quite easy. Target with Sith, and press A to fire your blaster. You can also choose to use POWER BLAST or RAPID SHOT. Once both Sith are down, you should get 75 XP points for each one. ******************************************************************************* * * * ANSWER:Okay. * * * ******************************************************************************* If you got hurt, use a medpac. If not, don't waste one. Run towards Trask, and check the remains of the Sith. I received: CREDITS (7) REPAIR KIT Ignore the debris and corpses to the right, and continue to the door at the far end. Open it. There will be two Sith solider's in here. Target them and kill them. Again receive 75 XP points for each kill. To the immediate right of the door, upon entering the room, search the corpse. I received: FRAG GRENADE Enter the room and search the METAL BOX to the left. You will get: CREDITS (10) MEDPAC Head over to the right side of the room and search the FOOTLOCKER for: COMBAT SUIT LONG SWORD SHORT SWORD FRAG GRENADE (2) Equip the COMBAT SUIT. If a Sith has remains, search him. I searched one guy and received: REPAIR KIT (2) Open and go through the next door, and walk a little. You'll see two more soldiers fighting the Sith. At least this time they take a couple with them before they die. Go around the corner and begin fighting. After a few rounds, more Sith will come from around the corner. Kill them as well You should again receive 75 XP points for each Sith. Search all the corpses. In total, I received: MEDPAC (2) FRAG GRENADE (3) REPAIR KIT Go to the only functional door; the one down the middle hallway. Open it and go through. As you open the door, you see two people fighting with lightsabers. The Republic Jedi wins, only to be killed by an explosion. After the cutscene, two Sith will be waiting. Kill them and receive 75 XP points a piece. Search the two Sith corpses for: MEDPAC (2) Also search the Jedi corpse, and you will receive: VIBRATION CELL ADRENAL STRENGTH Head for the door opposite the Jedi's body, marked BRIDGE. Two Sith will be waiting for you. As soon as you kill one, you should be able to level up for the first time. For this upgrade, you can improve some SKILLS and FEATS. You get one SKILL point. For me, I invested that in TREAT INJURY. For FEATS, I got one point as well, and I put that in SNIPER SHOT. Once you've leveled up, head back out of your inventory to continue the fight. @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@ @ @ @ Attack on the Endar Spire @ @ @ @ Endar Spire - Command Module: You've reached the bridge, but Bastila is @ @ nowhere to be found. Go through the door. Go through the second door. Trask runs to another door to see what's behind it; turns out to be a Dark Jedi. The door shuts due to an explosion, and your on your own. Once you have control, you'll be facing the door Trask went into. Turn to your left and go through this door. Walk in, and you'll begin to load the STARBOARD SECTION of the ship. As the section loads, you get another transmission from Carth. After the message, walk around the corner; you will encounter a lonesome Sith Trooper. Kill him and gain 75 XP points. After killing him, head left down the hall, around a second corner, and go through the door. There are another two Sith Soldier's in here. Kill them and get your 75 XP points. Carth will send you another transmission. If they left remains, search them. I received: CREDITS (26) Search the FOOTLOCKER on the right side of the room to acquire: COMPUTER SPIKE (5) PARTS (7) You can do whichever you want, but I used the security system. To do this, activate the security panel to the left of the door. Once in the system, choose VIEW STARBOARD TRANSPORT MODULE. You will see five Sith standing around through a camera. Press A to exit the computer, and choose [COMPUTER] OVERLOAD POWER CONDUIT (5 SPIKES) from the terminal. A transformer blows up, instantly killing all five Sith. You receive 150 XP points. Go through the door into the now safe room. Search the corpses. Once in the hallway, you see some Sith soldiers threatening a citizen. They turn to you and attack because you are Republic fugitives. Ignore the two battle droids for now and focus your attention on the Sith Soldier in the middle. Once all are dead, you'll get 250 XP points for the soldier and 75 for each droid. You should now be able to level up. You get one skill point, so invest it in TREAT INJURY. You get one feat point, so invest that in two-weapon fighting. And don't worry about buying an energy shield, because you can find one, for free, soon. Continue past Larrim and break the lock of the next door to your right. There is a Twi'lek in here. Ignore her and search the bag to the left of her, and receive: COMPUTER SPIKE CREDITS (3) PARTS Head out the door, turn right, and continue. Ignore the first door on the right for now, as it leads to the Upper City. Continue walking around and enter the next door on the right. There is a Ithorian in here. The Gamorrean's give you 50 XP points each, while the leader gives you 200. Search the corpse at the far left for PARTS and CREDITS (3), and search the Gamorrean remains for CREDITS (6) and FRAG GRENADE. Once they're dead, go through the door on the right, and then open the door immediately to the left. Walk across to the other door, and kill the four rakghoul's inside. You get 50 XP points per rakghoul. Walk to the bottom of the room and search the OUTCASE CORPSE for: ANTIDOTE KIT (2) MEDPAC PROMISED LAND JOURNAL The journal has no use right now, but it comes in handy soon as part of a quest issued by Rukil. Search the skeletal corpse for: MEDPAC CREDITS (18) Leave this room, head back to the hall, turn left, go up the ramp, follow the bend, and go up the ramp to another door. Enter it. There are four Gamorrean's in here. Kill them all for a total of 200 XP points. You should now be able to level up Mission. You have six skill points at your disposal. Put one into DEMOLITIONS, one into STEALTH, one into AWARENESS, one into TREAT INJURY, and two into SECURITY. You also get one feat point. You also get a bonus feat, which is SNEAK ATTACK III. Put your feat point into IMPROVED SNIPER SHOT. From the door you entered, there are two more doors; one to the left and one to the right. Go through the LEFT door. Go up the ramps to a Gamorrean Patrol and kill him for 100 XP points. Enter the door. There are five rakghouls in here. Four of them give you 50 XP points each, while the Fiend will give you 100. You now have a choice of three doors; two on the left and one to the right. Take the one to your immediate left. In this room, search the skeletal corpse for a COMPUTER SPIKE and CREDITS (3). You can't use the ladder, because the top is blocked off. Return to the room and go through the door on the opposite side (ignoring the one to your left for now). There is a Gamorrean patrol in here. Kill him and get 100 XP points. Continue down the hall, ignoring the doors, and open the door at the end. Enter the room, and open the door on your left. Use Mission to disable the mine, and continue down the hall. A group of rakghouls may come up on you from behind. If they do, kill them for 50 XP points each. Return to the end of the room. See the ladder here? It's an alternate exit to the Undercity, but since we don't need it at the moment, turn around and leave. Check the skeletal corpse by the two doors for PARTS and a MEDPAC, then go through the door at the far end of the room. You'll see a force field in here. Try to activate the console. Mission will tell you the codes, but not until you find Zaalbar. Turn around, leave the room, go through the door on the left, walk down the hall, up the ramp, and through the first door on the left. They're both pretty much the same, so kill whoever you want first. The Elite's give you 100 XP each, and the Chief gives you 400. At this point, you should be able to level up Carth. Put your one skill point into TREAT INJURY and your one feat point into CRITICAL STRIKE. Search the remains of the Chief for a CARDIO-REGULATOR, and one of the Elite's for a REPAIR KIT.
