Okay, I have played this game to death to write this and the other level walkthroughs. In fact, I played it so much that I began to not enjoy it. I wanted to make sure that the first couple of levels I had written were put into action since I know that I'm not going to finish writing the rest of the levels. I don't even want to play the game anymore. So, before you you write me and ask how to do different things on the later levels, don't. I'm only covering these levels and will not entertain e-mail about the others: - Donner Ski Ranch - Aspen - Kirkwood - Heavenly - Snowbird _______________________________________________________________________________ REVISION HISTORY 1.0 (12/29/2001) First version of this guide. I was hoping it would be the last one until I got a lot of hate mail because I started the gap list after getting sick of the game. 1.1 (3/01/2002) Stripped the gap list due to idiots e-mailing me. Added information to the author's note. _______________________________________________________________________________ SNOWBIRD Challenges: - Boarder Score : 150,000 - Pro Score : 300,000 - Sick Score : 500,000 - Finish before 2:20 with 75,000 points - Collect the Snowbird Logos - On top of the chairlift. - Above a wooden jump just before the chasm. - On top of the lodge (use the tree and then the wire to get there). - Onm top of the chairlift reset point at the end. - Find the Secret Sponsor - Near the end of the level (before the two reset points), you'll see two snow plows on the right side of the track. Go past them and launch yourself off of the belt track right after them to get the secret sponsor. - Abolish the Snowmen - To the left the first house. - Left of the small shack after the chairlift. - To the right of the chairlift right before the chasm. - Small house on the right side of the track after the chasm. - Up on the deck next after the two reset points beyond the chasm. - Ride the trams - slide up the shack and jump into the tram. slide the inner rail. - Instead of slideing up the log and to the tower, take the jump to the right. If you hit it just right, you'll be propelled into the tram. slide the inner rail. - Stop the runaway snowmobile - Bonk it once, and then follow it down the slope and continue bonking it 4 more times (for a total of 5). You have the full rest of the course after the cliff drop. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This section will take you through the level challenges with an in-depth description of how to finish the different challenges. I won't give explicit directions for the boarder, pro, and sick scores, but I will give pointers on places that you can score big. --[ Boarder Score ]------------------------------------------------------------ Okay, starting at the beginning, jump off the rocks and flip and grab. Manual and catch the next rock and do the same thing. Manual out of it and flip and grab over the jump. Land in a manual again and head to the lift lodge. Grind up the ladder and onto the lift line. Grind it as long as you can. Jump off the end with a flip and grab combo. Hold it to the ground. You should now have your boarder score, and be well on your way to the pro score. --[ Pro Score ]---------------------------------------------------------------- Again, starting at the beginning, jump off the rocks and flip and grab. Manual and catch the next rock and do the same thing. Manual out of it and flip and grab over the jump. Land in a manual again and head to the lift lodge. Grind up the ladder and onto the lift line. Grind it as long as you can. Jump off the end with a flip and grab combo. Hold it to the ground. The easiest way to get it is hit the lift reset point and start over again. Repeat what I just told you and you'll easily have your Pro Score. Getting the sick score is another thing entirely. You'll have to manual/trick/grind the entire level to get it. --[ Sick Score ]--------------------------------------------------------------- As before, starting at the beginning, jump off the rocks and flip and grab. Manual and catch the next rock and do the same thing. Manual out of it and flip and grab over the jump. Land in a manual again and head to the lift lodge. Grind up the ladder and onto the lift line. Grind it as long as you can. Jump off the end with a flip and grab combo. Hold it to the ground. You should have racked up a major score by now. Trick off the cliff and start grinding wires and tricking. At the end of the level, make use of the rails. Hit the snowmobile at the end and do it all again. --[ Finish before 2:20 with 75,000 points ]------------------------------------ Okay, starting at the beginning, jump off the rocks and flip and grab. Manual and catch the next rock and do the same thing. Manual out of it and flip and grab over the jump. Land in a manual again and head to the lift lodge. Grind up the ladder and onto the lift line. Grind it as long as you can. Jump off the end with a flip and grab combo. Hold it to the ground. Now just book it to the end of the level. --[ Collect the Snowbird Logos ]----------------------------------------------- Head down the rocky path as best you can. Once out of the narrow gap, head for the chairlift. You need to head up the left ladder. Just keep grinding to the line to get the first logo. Jump down and navigate down the middle of the path. Grind up the first tree on your right. Keep hutting the trees until you come to a snow jump. Hit the left side of the jump and make sure that you land on the highest piece of ground. Now, take the jump to get the second logo. Once you land, head over to the snowmobile. You need to go straight, without hitting any logs or jumps. There will be a jump on your left that has a wire near it (right after the tower). Grind this wire across the casm. Next, use the tree on your right to launch you up to a wire with small colored banners (don't jump or you will miss the wire). From there, you're on the roof and ready to get the third logo. Now, take a hard right and hit the reset point at the chairlifts. Take a hard right and zoom past the snow plows. You're looking for a rail section that you can use to propel you up to the line above you. It's right before the chair lift reset point. Grind up the bar and transfer to the lift line to get the final logo. --[ Find the Secret Sponsor ]-------------------------------------------------- Head down the hill as usual. After the large cliff, keep to the right. You'll jump off the next cliff. Stay to the right and you'll see two snow plows and a strange piece of machinery. Okay, the key here is to go around the left side of the snow plows without falling off the embankment, and then using the machinery's jump to launch yourself up to the sponsor. NOTE: If you miss it, take the chairlift reset point right in front of you and then a hard right to get back to the snow plows. --[ Abolish the Snowmen ]------------------------------------------------------ Head down the mountain and when you come out of the rocky path, go to the house on your right. On the left-hand deck is the first snowman to destroy. Now head to the left. See the shack near the tram? The next snowman is on the left side of the shack. Smack it. Hit a hard right and go as far right as you can. There's a chair lift here. To the right of it is a snowman. Smash it and jump off the cliff. Stay to the right and you'll see a small house. The next snowman is on the right side of the house. The last snowman is up the lodge steps and on the walkway at the end of the level. You can grind the pipe and jump to it, but I usually jumped over it. It's easier to demolish it on the walkway from the steps. --[ Ride the trams ]----------------------------------------------------------- Head down the slope towards the large lift. Go to the left of the lift and up the hill towards the shack and the tram. DON'T grind up the poles on the shack. There's a MUCH easier way. Instead, grind up the left wire on the tower and jump into the tram. Grind the central rail. Follow the middle path (not grinding up any of the trees or anything. You're heading for the cliff. See the jump pointing to the tram? That's what you need to hit. If you hit it right, you'll be launched into the tram. Grind the inner rail. --[ Stop the runaway snowmobile ]---------------------------------------------- Procede down the mountain as usual, taking the jump near the tram. Once you land at the bottom of the cliff, find the pipe jump to your right. Do not take it. Instead, jump before it and bonk the snowmobile. Follow it and bonk it four more times to stop it. You have until the entire rest of the level to do it.
