I've replied to too many idiots. Don't be one that I don't reply to. I do this for free. If you have a beef, buy the official guide. If you want to bitch about me telling you to spend money...then welcome to my trash folder. Now that that's done. Okay, I have played this game to death to write this and the other level walkthroughs. In fact, I played it so much that I began to not enjoy it. I wanted to make sure that the first couple of levels I had written were put into action since I know that I'm not going to finish writing the rest of the levels. I don't even want to play the game anymore. So, before you you write me and ask how to do different things on the later levels, don't. I'm only covering these levels and will not entertain e-mail about the others: - Donner Ski Ranch - Aspen - Kirkwood - Heavenly - Snowbird _______________________________________________________________________________ REVISION HISTORY 1.0 (12/29/2001) First version of this guide. I was hoping it would be the last one until I got a lot of hate mail because I started the gap list after getting sick of the game. 1.1 (3/01/2002) Stripped the gap list due to idiots e-mailing me. Added information to the author's note. _______________________________________________________________________________ KIRKWOOD Challenges: - Boarder Score : 80,000 - Pro Score : 160,000 - Sick Score : 320,000 - Finish before 2:00 with 40,000 pts - Manual to the tree and slide it. Manual at the end to the next tree. Transfer to the wire with a trick. Jump the two sections of the lift wire, bonking each and tricking. Go off the end of the wire and manual to the curve. Transfer to the wire and you will break down the entrance to the mine. Next, transfer up the log and into the mine shaft. Get the logo. - Bonk the Wildlife - Bunny, before the jump where tyhe first logo was (up the tree after the house). - Deer, near the snowplow shack. - Hawk, along the bars past the deer. Stay to the left, but don't slide anything. Watch it take off and head for it. If you slide anything, you'll be moving way too fast to bonk it. - Bust the caution signs - One at the very beginning of the level. - To the left of the jump after the bunny. - Right of the tower after the toboggan run. - slide up the next pole up the mountain to your right to get this one. - Over the bridge. - Front-Flip over Haye's Hop - Close to the end of the level. slide up the pipe, where the last caution sign was, and head down the slope there. Get your momentum up and flip around to make the actual jump. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This section will take you through the level challenges with an in-depth description of how to finish the different challenges. --[ Boarder Score ]------------------------------------------------------------ Manual to the tree and slide it. Manual at the end to the next tree. Transfer to the wire with a trick. Jump the two sections of the lift wire, bonking each and tricking. Go off the end of the wire and manual to the curve. Grind up to the bunny using the log. Manual to the tree on the left and grind it. Manual to the small log and wire near the broken section of fence and grind it and the snow plow shack. This should easily get you a Boarder score and a Pro Score. --[ Pro Score ]---------------------------------------------------------------- Manual to the tree and slide it. --[ Sick Score ]--------------------------------------------------------------- Manual to the tree and slide it. Next, grind the logs and manual to the pipe. Ride it and manual to the stump. Grind up it and along the wire. You'll drop down to the pipes below. Make sure that you stay in the middle to get some good, reliable grinds in. Manual to the bridge (do NOT take the snowmobile). Drop down and grind the log below the bridge for some nice points. Manual at the end of it and grind up the right-hand pole. Manual to the end and jump. Grind the wire down to Haye's Hop. Hit the chairlift reset point at the end of the level and do it again to make sure you got it. I know it seems crazy to do all this grinding and manualling, but if I can do it, ANYONE can do it. --[ Finish before 2:00 with 40,000 pts ]--------------------------------------- Manual to the tree and slide it. Manual at the end to the next tree. Transfer to the wire with a trick. Jump the two sections of the lift wire, bonking each and tricking. Go off the end of the wire and manual to the curve. You will have about 50,000 points. Now just race to the bottom of the hill. --[ Collect the Kirkwood logos ]----------------------------------------------- Manual to the first tree and grind it. Manual off of it and up the next tree to transfer to the wire. Ride the wire to get the first logo. Jump down and stay in the middle of the track. After the house, there will be a log leading up to a small ridge on the left. Take it. You should see a rabbit. The easiest way up the next ridge is to just ride up it and jump. Take the jump to get the next logo. The easiest way to get the next one is to rush to the end of the level. After you see Haye's Hop, stay on the right. There is a black bar in the middle of two quarter pipes. You need to grind it and transfer to the next one. Jump and get the third logo. Now it's time to backtrack. Hit the snowplow reset point and grind the left railing of the snow plow shack to get the final logo! --[ Find the secret sponsor ]-------------------------------------------------- Head down the hill until you reach the ice path (just past the bunny). Grind the log across the ice path and up the tree. Continue grinding the wire until you see the wood fall. Now, grind up the log and into the mine shaft to get the sponsor. --[ Bonk the Wildlife ]-------------------------------------------------------- Head down the mountain until you see the right and left split in the path and a log leading up to a ledge (just past the cabin). Grind up the log. Slow down a bit to make sure you don't ever jump the bunny. Bonk it. NOTE: If you miss the bunny, you can always take the snowmobile reset point near the bridge to put you back at the cabin to try again. Grind the tree to the left, near the bunny. See the small stick near the caution sign? Grind up it and down the line to the snow shack. Jump down and head to the left. You should see a jump. Take it and get ready to bonk because the deer is in just the right place. NOTE: If you miss the deer, take the snowmobile near the bridge (to save time) and grind to the snow plow shack to start again. Now, grind the different logs and the rail on the left to get to an upper section. You'll see a hawk take off. Head towards it, but do NOT grind up anything. You CAN do it if you grind, but it's a lot harder. Instead, head around the left side of the stump and jump and bonk it as it flies below you. NOTE: If you miss the deer, take the snowmobile near the bridge (to save time) and grind to the snow plow shack to start again. --[ Bust the caution signs ]--------------------------------------------------- Manual to the tree and grind it. Manual to the next one and grind it up to the wire (breaking the first sign). Grind the wire to the end and then grind up the tree to the slope on your left. Ignore the bunny and grind up the tree on the left. Manual to the caution sign you see and break it. Break through the fence and jump the gap. Manual through the snow plow shack and jump up to the wire. Grind it down and across the bridge. Break the sign there and jump down to the pipes below. Navigate the pipes until you get to the river. Go right of the bridge, and avoid the trees. The sign is hidden to the left of them. Break it and jump the river. Grind up the right pole and jump to break the last sign. --[ Front-Flip over Haye's Hop ]----------------------------------------------- Haye's Hop is close to the end of the level. After the bridge, keep to the right (in fact, if you take the rail on the right, you'll be right there). Get a good run at it and just transfer to the left side of it. Then, get ready to ollie and front-flip (UP + SQUARE). Hopefully you're not going too fast to do it. _______________________________________________________________________________ CREDITS AND THANKS - CJayC and Shadotak, as always. - My ferrets, Tuffy and Kiki. - Aurora Snow for her "performances."
