Updates- ************ =============================================================================== Version Final Submitted 25/3/03 I have no motivation to work on this guide, so I won't update it any more in the future. To be honest, I can't see what else you could want from this FAQ, so good-bye and thanks for reading! Version 1.01 Submitted 11/1/02 Tied up some odds and ends here and there. More importantly, changed the FAQ to the 79 characters per line format - a pressing adjustment. The guide should look better now. I can't foresee the future, but I guess that the final version of this guide will come at version 1.1, in the next year. Version 1.0 Submitted 27/10/02 I've added/completed some sections, and to me the FAQ seems more or less complete. However, I will still add more stuff, so I won't class the FAQ as "Final" just yet (I need to complete the dinosaur list fully - only ten to go!) Version 0.85 Submitted 9/10/02 I've added the almost complete dinosaur list, and as a result the FAQ size has more than doubled! I've had to start using WordPad, so the FAQ has changed slightly. This isn't the final version, but nothing big is going to be added - all that will happen by verion 1.0 is the completion of the dinosaur list. I also added a couple more sections to the general tips section this update, but they're not entirely complete yet. Expect completion at version 1.0. Version 0.5 Submitted 2/10/02 Added loads of stuff and made a lot of corrections (notably to the cheats section). The object list is complete, but I still don't have the dinosaur list ready (expect it to take a while - getting all dinos is harder than I thought!). Sorry about the scrapiness of version 0.1. Version 0.1 Initial Release (submitted 28/9/02) Completed everything except the dinosaur list and object list (I still don't have all the DNA parts to get all dinasaurs, but I'm working on it). Of course, there's plenty to add, so expect each section to grow as I update the FAQ. =============================================================================== ***************** -3. Introduction- ***************** =============================================================================== Welcome to my first FAQ on a Nintendo (my favourite games company, by the way) console! If you know what Jurassic Park GBA games are like than this is probably one of the last games you'd consider spending your hard earned cash on. However, this is an exception in that it's a decent (if not great) attempt at a theme park manager simulator. It's the best in its genre on Nintendo's handheld console, and worth a look if you like this kind of thing. The game is tough and unforgiving, and after your third game over you'll be wondering if it's possible to survive more than a year. It is, but you need to manage your money very carefully in order to be successful. Read on to find out how... If you need to get to a section quickly, look at what it's called in the contents and use Find (Ctrl & F) to get to it quickly. =============================================================================== *********** -4. Basics- *********** =============================================================================== --a. Controls-- A button: Select an object to edit/check it when on the map screen, or use it to select something when navigating menus. B button: Has no function on the map screen. Use to cancel selection when navigating menus. Select button: no function. Start: Press to start game at the end of intro sequence. Directional pad: Move arrow on map screen. Use to select different menus. L button: Bring up menus associated with the administration/excavation side of running the park. R button: Bring up menus associated with the building/running of the park. --b. Menus-- The menus are what you'll use all the time to manage your park, so here is a list of all menus and their functions. L button menus -------------- *Main Office Mode -Entry Fee: Set the entry fee. -Manage Bus: Buy/sell buses. -Advertise: Choose to run advertisements. -Park Info.: Find out how many visitors you've had in the last year, how much money you've received/spent, the public opinion about the park and your overall score. -System: Set the message and game speed. -Save your game up to that point. *Excavation Mode Here you can choose to send an excavation team to one of eight areas, and choose the time period from one to three months. This is the only way to obtain amber for making eggs. *Research Lab Mode -Amber Analysis: Analyse amber brought nack from expeditions. -Egg Creation: Create eggs from your Dinosaur DNA collection. -Plant Info: Check and select eggs that you chose to create. *Dinosaur Illustration Mode This is where you can see all the dinosaurs you've collected in a good piture and view their stats (all this information will soon be included in the FAQ, apart from the pictures). *Exchange Mode Trade DNA with friends with the same game. Useful for getting all dinosaurs. R button menus -------------- *Construction Menu -Road Construction: Build roads, paths and rotaries. -Facilities Construction: Build street lamps, fountains and clock towers. -Vegetation and Boulder Construction: Select from a range of trees and boulders to build. -Symbol Placement: Build a goddess statue or raptor statue. (When you have more money you can also buy pteranodon statues and spinosaurus statues). -Building Construction: Build hotels, shops, restaurants and areas for dinos. -Remove Constructed Item: Remove something from the map. *Display Full Map View a map of the island using this menu (doesn't show roads/trees etc.). *Facility Management Menu -Manage Hotels: Change fee/upgrade and view statistics for hotels. -Manage Shops: Change items/prices in your shops and upgrade them, as well as viewing their statistics. -Manage Restaurants: Change fee/upgrade and view statistics for restaurants. -Manage Areas: Upgrade and view statistics for areas, and move dinosaurs. --c. How to Get Dinosaurs-- You'll need to get dinosaurs to fill your areas pretty soon, and while you start off with three, you'll want more interesting ones for both the public and yourself. Dinosaur collecting is the most fun part about the game, so you'll need to know how to go about it. -Go to the excavation menu. Choose an area, time period and price then send off the team. -When they return, examine their finds in the amber analysis menu. -Once you've done that choose a complete DNA set in the egg creation menu. -The egg will be sent to the plant where, once they hatch, you can place them in an area for people to see! =============================================================================== ***************** -5. General Tips- ***************** =============================================================================== --a. How to Build a Successful Park-- The first thing you need to remember when you set out to build a new park is that you can't do much at first. You are only provided with a budget of 1000000G (the currency in this game - I assume that it means Gold). This will disappear in a few months if you're not careful. Remember, everything you build will need maintaining, and this costs money. In order not to make a loss in the first few months this is how to go about it: -Start a new park (put it on easy if you don't want many trees, medium for the normal amount and hard for an island covered in forests). Give it a name (be inventive). -Build a small road leading from the airport. Make it stop at a rotary and build some paths round there. -Put in a small square with maybe a lampost or two, a fountain and, if you feel extravagant, a Goddess statue. -Build a Burger Bar and plant some shrubs/CHEAP trees around it. -Make the enry fee to somewhere between 300G and 350G (want it to be cheap for now). -Raise the price for the restaurant, but be reasonable. People will be unhappy if they have to pay too much. A good price is 400G. Don't upgrade the restaurant. -Advertise using "Search King Rex". -Your park should look roughly like this when visitors arrive: (sorry about the bad quality map). bbbb KEY bbbb f bbbb f r=road tppppppt o=rotary tpfffppt p=path tpfffppt t=tree tppppppt f=fountain p b=burger bar p oooo /\ o o / \ /\ rrrr \/ \ r \ r /\ / r \ \_____________________ / r \ / r / / r / -You should have about 950000G at the end of the the first construction phase. Ignore signs saying "Not popular enough" or "No Areas". If you have real money problems (which should not be the case) sell a bus. -After a while, say three or four months, extend the path a little. Build a shop. Make the prices reasonable. -Soon you should be making a profit, so once you have about 1500000G send an expedition to Australia for a month. When they return, send them back again. Repeat a few times until you have about five Dinosaur DNA things. Make a couple of areas to put them in. Build a road ride near to the dinos (people can only see them from the coach - yeah, I know, stupid aren't they). -Soon you will be making sizeable profits. Gradually build up your park, adding restaurants, a hotel, interesting paths, decorations, more areas/dinasaurs etc. Let your imagination take control and have fun! Once you are past the initial difficult stage of the game where you risk losing money, you should be OK, but here are a few things to remember: -Everything you build needs maintaining. Upgrading things makes your park better, but maintaining them costs more. -Don't overbuild. Take slowly, adding buildings every few months, letting the park make a profit before bulding new stuff. -Getting all dinasaurs the first time you play is near impossible. You need to know the game really well first. -Try to aim the park at a small audience at first (e.g. just children) then gradually expand its appeal (so make so that men also like it) and by the time you have over 200000000G you should be aimed at all members of the public. --b. Money Making Tips-- Unfortunately, every month you will lose some money, and the basic way to make a profit is to make more money than this amount which is taken away from you. Doing this is what making money is all about on this game. This section has a few helpful hints as to how to manage your money. -If you get in debt for over two million, restart. There's no way you'll last long, so don't waste your time trying to. By "in debt" I mean in the minuses on the money screen under Main Office Mode, not less than 0G in the top-right hand corner of the map screen. At the beginning of the game restart if you have under 500000G as it means you're never going to make a profit. -Everything you buy will cost you money each month, except things which don't need maintaing (e.g. trees). Some money will be taken from you if customers are unhappy as well. To find out what you've been spending money on go to Budget in main office mode. -There's no way to avoid being "in the red" at the end of the first year. However, make sure that by year three you have made a substansial profit. Otherwise, restart. -Dinosaurs are the most expensive things you can have in the game. They need money to create, house, look after etc. However, without them your park will be a failure, so regularly check on your dinos and look after them unless you think that they're costing you more than they're worth. --c. Looking After Your Dinosaurs-- Getting dinosaurs for people to look at is the whole point of the game. They're also fun to collect. This section will tell you how to look after them, and tips for getting ones you can't get. -Every month go into facility mangement and manage your areas. If you have enough money, keep all areas at full security level. -Heal all your dinos, especially if you have been prompted to do so by a message saying "a dinosaur is about to die". If you think a dino is not making enough public appeal stop looking after it. That's harsh, but that's the way it works. -NEVER PUT A CARNIVORE WITH ANOTHER DINOSAUR!!! -If your areas are too small you can combine two by placing them next to each other. -If you can't get a dinosaur, but you know what area it comes from on the world map and what number it is (all information which will soon be found in the dino list when I complete it) check how much DNA you have for it. If you have hardly any/none, send an expedition to that place and if they come back with some DNA for it, good. If they don't, send them again until they do. -Now that you have some DNA for it, you should send an expedition there for one month every month, and they will come back with one or two pieces of DNA for the dinosaur. Eventually, you will have it! --d. Hazards-- There are some hazards in the game that you should be wary of: Tornado: This will come at random and sweep away a lot of stuff in the park, costing you 50000G. Sorry, you can't avoid it. Luckily it isn't very common. Earthquake: This is fortunately _very_ rare, but it once hit me in the 7th year - everyone looks unhappy, there is a rumbling noise and loads of your park is damaged; buildings disappear, bits of road fall away, people are trapped and rocks spring up everywhere. Funny to look at, but not funny when you realise this has the potential to cost five times as much as a tornado. AAAAAAAH! Dinosaur Escape: If a dinosaur escapes from its area it will run rampage costing you a lot of money (the amount varies from dinosaur to dinosaur, and I'm not going to make a list of the different costs because I'm too lazy - just think like this: an escaped T-Rex will cost a lot more than an escaped bug). You will be sorry to hear that they don't run after people or anything - they just disappear. To avoid this keep all areas on maximum durability, and when told that the durability of an area has decreased sort it out at once. Dinosaur Ill: If you don't regularly check on your dinosaurs they will become ill and you will be told that a dinosaur is going to die soon. To fix the problem heal dinosaurs regularly. Dinosaur Sick: Sometimes you will be told that a dinosaur is sick. This does not mean that it is going to die soon, just that it looks sick and this is not good for the public. Heal the dinosaur for money's sake. Dinosaur Dead: If you don't look after your dinosaurs they will die (and eventually they will die of old age *sniff*) so to prolong their lives heal them often (preferably once per month). Virus: Occasionally there will be an outbreak of a virus in an area. If you get a message telling you this heal all dinosaurs in that area IMMEDIATELY! The consequences if you don't will mean the loss of all the dinosaurs through disease. Dinosaur Eats Other Dinosaur: This is easily avoided by only putting a dinosaur that will eat others (carnivore) on its own or with a dinosaur it won't eat (i.e. one much bigger than it). Dinosaur Injures Another Dinosaur: If you put two herbivores together they may quarrel and the stronger of the two will injure the other. To avoid this put herbivores of the same strength in the same enclosure, but avoid putting weaker ones with stronger ones. --e. Items-- In the shops that you can put around the park there are a selection of items to put in each one (although a shop only holds a maximum of three items). It takes a few months after you get the dino for the item to be made. Also, don't blame me for the stupid descriptions. I'm not the programmers who made this! Here is the list: Name: Air Raptor Default Price: 50G Stock Price: 10G Game Description: A cute balloon. Keeps you company. How to Obtain it: There at the beginning of the game. Ideas for Building-- Once you've got th park going you should add some special features, and to get you started here are some ideas (also, special thanks to David Kamikaze for allowing me to use his ideas from his FAQ. Visit his site at www.kamisoft.com). Here are his ideas (all text is originally by David Kamikaze - see his FAQ to find out what happens if you take it without his permission!) ROUNDABOUT Use: When you have more than one hotel! Why?: Busses can turn off to other stopping points. How?: Two rotaries. Simple enough to do. THE PICNIC SQUARE Use: To make consumers rest and relax. Why?: It's pretty and people will stop there to relax. How?: Place a WATER FOUNTAIN and build WALKING PATH around it. NATURE WALK Use: To give visitors exercise! Why?: Placing food at the end of it brings in money! Also looks nice. How?: Pathway with plants beside it (about 10-15 path pieces long!). Place a RESTAURANT at the end of the walk. They'll be hungry and buy food and drink! KIDDIES KORNER Use: Coz kids come to the park as well! Why?: Happy kids mean happy parents. Happy people spend happy money. How?: Build a small 4X4 square of path. Surround with little boulders (or large ones for added security!). Kids will play there. Add a REX Burger there too for extra money making profit! tip- keep it as far from dino enclosures as possible... TREE MAZE Use: For pure entertainment. Why?: People like mazes. They are fun. How?: Make a multi-path maze (not too complex!). Line the sides with trees. For some extra enjoyment, add a Raptor Statue or Goddess statue in the middle. Happy people. DINO TRAIL Use: People are coming to see the dinos dammit! Why?: Otherwise they can't see the dinos! How?: Build a basic zoo trail. Put dino enclosures right next to the path. Now add dinos and watch people point, stare and enjoy your dinos! WATER ENCLOSURES Use: For water Dinos. Why?: Otherwise they die very fast. How?: Part of the enclosure must be on land... thats the greatest misconception of all. I mean, would you dive into a pool of carnivourous dinos? Of course not... OK, now here are mine (I used the same style to avoid confusion). BIG BUS STOP Use: Avoids people not being able to get onto a bus. Why?: Otherwise people all go to the same rotary and can't get on the packed buses. How?: Build a row of rotaries (maximum of three). People will go to different ones and bus congestion will be a thing of the past. SHOPPING MALL Use: When you have lots of items. Why?: People will be able to access any item they want if the shops selling them are grouped together. How?: Put a row of shops in one place and fill them with many different items. Now people won't go around saying "I couldn't find what I wanted". RESTAURANT STREET Use: A street for people with different tastes in food. Why?: People will all have their needs catered for where food is concerned, and nobody will walk around saying "none of the food looks good". How?: Make a path going between restaurants (preferably level 5 if you can afford it). --g. Upgrading-- This short section is basically just to tell you what upgrading is all about, and its ups and downs. Upgrading your hotels will make for excellent hygeine (maximum level 5) and happy people. Upgrading shops and restaurants will make for better food and a greater capacity for customers. Upgrading areas will mean better security. So it seems that upgrading is excellent and that you should upgrade everything to the maximum level. However, this is not the case. For a start, upgrading costs a hell of a lot. To upgrade an area to level 8 costs 10000G+20000G+30000G+40000G+50000G+60000G+70000G+80000G. That's 360000G! Over a third of what you get at the beginning! Then there's maintenance (what you pay each month). A level 1 shop costs you 10000G per month. A level 5 shop costs 25000G - 2.5 times as much! So you should think hard before upgrading things - certainly at the beginning of the game you should keep everything at level 1 since you won't have many visitors anyway. --h. Moods-- The people who visit your park will react in different ways depending on what it's like. Below is a list of what they might think: ___ /^ ^\ | \_/ | =Happy \__ / \\ If you see this above a person's head it means that they're happy or satisfied, which is great as it means that they'll spend more money at your park. What people might say if they have this above their heads is: "I'm already full" "I found what I wanted" "We bough all we wanted" "I slept well" "I saw lots of mean dinosaurs" "I saw lots of rare dinosaurs" "I saw lots of cute dinosaurs" "This park is great" ___ /\ /\ | O_O | =Angry \/_\/ \\ If you see this above a person's head it means that they're unhappy or angry, and this is bad news. It means that they want to leave, and you will lose money. Here is waht they'll say if they're angry: "The bus is always late" "I guess it's not sold here" "None of the food looks good" "I don't want to stay here" "The rotary is top far" "The airport is too far" "This park isn't all that great" "I hate this park" ___ /= =\ | O_O | =Unable to enter something \(_)/ \\ Your customers will only display this if they are unable to get into/onto something. Here is what they'll say: "I can't seem to get on" "The bus is always full" "The restaurant is packed" "The hotel is packed" "The shop is packed" ___ / \ | G | =Too expensive \__ / \\ If this appears it simply means that visitors find what you charge to be too expensive. This is what they might say: "The entrance fee is too high" "The food is too expensive" "The items look good but they cost too much" "The hotel is too expensive" --i. Advertisements-- Here is s list of the adverts avaliable in the game, and I have rated each one for what it is really worth. Name: DNN Newsland Cost: 49000G Appeals to: Men & Women Game Description: A popular TV show with biting commentary. The End-- After twenty years, whatever happens the game will end. A screen will come up congratulating you on your success in your survival, and you will be able to view your overall score (in "P" - I assume this means points). I got 81P, and that's not great. See if you can do better. The credits will then come up and you will be able to see parts of your park. Make sure it looks good! (When the title screen comes up agian selecting "continue" starts you off where you last saved). =============================================================================== **************** -6. Object List- **************** =============================================================================== This is complete list of all the pieces you can have in the game with descriptions. Where I have said that the maintenance cost is "none" I mean that the game doesn't tell you the price, not that it doesn't cost you anything. Also, as you can see from the removal costs I added, think before you place something as it may cost a lot to remove it on top of buying it. --a. Road Construction Menu-- -Vehicle Road Cost:100G Removal cost: 30G Size: 1 block of the map. Maintenance cost: None Description: A piece of road that you link with others to make a road for your buses. Put areas near them for people to see dinosaurs (a "!" appears if they do). -Walking Path Cost: 100G Removal cost: 30G Size: 1 block of the map. Maintenance cost: Description: Poeple can walk around on these paths so you can make trails etc. but they won't see dinosaurs from them. -Rotary Cost: 2000G Removal cost: 500G Size: A 3x3 block. Maintenance cost: None Description: These allow people to get off the bus and onto the paths. Very important, but easily overlooked. --b. Facilities Construction Menu-- -Street Lamp Cost: 3000G Removal cost: 800G Size: 2 blocks of the map (vertically). Maintenance cost: None Description: Useful so that people can see in the dark (what d'you mean it doesn't get dark? Oh, yeah, it doesn't. Guess these are pretty useless then, unless you like them as decorations). -Water Fountain Cost: 3000G Removal cost: 800G Size: A 2x2 block. Maintenance cost: None Description: Looks good in the middle of squares and at picnic spots. -Clock Tower Cost: 35000G Removal cost: 1000G Size: A 2x2 block. Maintenance cost: None Description: Lets people tell the time. --c. Vegetation and Boulder Construction Menu-- -Tree Cost: 80G Removal cost: 30G Size: 1 block of the map Maintenance cost: None Description: A normal tree that's cheap but boring. Line the sides of the roads with it if you want, but more interesting plants on the pathways. -Grass Cost: 90G Removal cost: 30G Size: 1 block of the map Maintenance cost: None Description: Make grassy patches to look nice by the paths with this. -Lotus Cost: 110G Removal cost: 30G Size: 1 block of the map Maintenance cost: None Description: A more interesting plant to line paths with. Looks especially good near water. -Cycad Cost: 1300G Removal cost: 400G Size: A 2x2 block. Maintenance cost: None Description: More expensive, but looks good near enclosures with herbivorous dinosaurs in them. -Ancient Cedar Cost: 1500G Removal cost: 400G Size: A 2x2 block. Maintenance cost: None Description: The most expensive plant, but they create an atmosphere for people, so plant some in strategic places on the roadside. -Boulder Cost: 180G Removal cost: 50G Size: 1 block of the map Maintenance cost: None Description: These pop up all over the place if you're unfortunate enough to have an earthquake. Otherwise you can put them on the pathways or make a rocky outcrop. -Large Boulder Cost: 2000G Removal cost: 500G Size: A 2x2 block. Maintenance cost: None Description: Really you can only use them for extra prehistoric atmosphere by placing them with small rocks and making "mountains" but the price means these are pretty useless. --d. Symbol Placement Menu-- -Goddess Statue Cost: 30000G Removal cost: 800G Size: A 2x2 block. Maintenance cost: None Description: Like the other four statues this is purely decorative, and apart from making people a little happier it is perfectly useless, and at a price like this forget it. -Raptor Statue Cost: 50000G Removal cost: 1000G Size: A 2x2 block. Maintenance cost: None Description: See goddess statue, only here you pay more. -Pteranodon Statue Cost: 200000G Removal cost: 2400G Size: A 2x2 block. Maintenance cost: None Description: This only becomes available when you have 5000000G. See goddess statue for what I think of these. -Spinosaurus Statue Cost: 500000G Removal cost: 3000G Size: A 2x2 block. Maintenance cost: None Description: WHAT THE ****! You expect me to pay HALF A MILLION for this! Avoid like the plague. Dinosaur Classification by Diet-- Below you will find the dinosaurs classified by diet, then in section c by era, section d by attributes, section e by alphabetical order and section f by location. This way if you need to know this information about a dinosaur (so that you know which enclosure to put it in, and what with) you can find it quickly. Carn1 ----- These are usually relatively weak dinosaurs, and will only attack something their own size or smaller. As a result they can be put with almost anything except other small and potentially weaker creatures (for example even compsognathus will kill dinilysia). 001: Eorapter 007: Coelophysis 013: Irritator 015: Baronyx 021: Mini. Tyrannosaurus 022: Avimimus 023: Unenlagia 024: Ornitholestes 026: Compsognathus 027: Sinosauropteryx 028: Gallimimus 029: Ornithomimus 030: Struthiomimus 031: Dromiceiomimus 032: Pelecanimimus 033: Monoychus 037: Oviraptor 038: Conchoraptor 039: Troodon 105: Dimorphodon 107: Anurognathus 111: Pterodaustro 115: Archaeopteryx 116: Plesiosaurus 120: Pachypleurosaurus 124: Eurhinosaurus 125: Ichtyosaurus 129: Terataspis 130: Mesolimulus 131: Pachydiscus 132: Macropama 133: Elginia 134: Archelon 135: Kuehneosuchus 136: Dinilysia 137: Pterygotus 138: Meganeura 139: Dimetrodon 140: Diplocaulus Carn2 ----- The middle size carnivores should only be placed with creatures of their own size, and preferably bigger. They are quite aggressive, so you might consider checking their area durability once per year or so. 002: Herrerasaurus 003: Carnotaurus 004: Masiakasaurus 005: Majungatholus 006: Ceratosaurus 008: Dilophosaurus 010: Monolophosaurus 016: Megalosaurus 042: Deinonychus 043: Utahraptor 106: Rhamphorhynchus 108: Pterodactyus 109: Anhanguera 110: Dsungaripterus 117: Cryptoclidus 121: Pistosaurus 128: Clidastes Carn3 ----- These should always be kept alone, especially the likes of tyrannosaurus and spinosaurus. They devour everything, even a supersaurus, and bash the fences of their enclosures like there's no tomorrow. But they have good public appeal, so have lots but be sure to check their area durability once every three months or less. 009: Allosaurus 011: Giganotosaurus 012: Acrocathosaurus 014: Spinosaurus 017: Yangchuanosaurus 018: Albertosaurus 019: Tarbosaurus 020: Tyrannosaurus 112: Quetzalcoatlus 113: Pteranodon 118: Kronosaurus 119: Elasmosaurus 122: Cymbospondylus 123: Shonisaurus 126: Mosasaurus 127: Tylosaurus Herb1 ----- The very weak herbivores. They look cute to the public, but are easy prey for even the smallest carnivores. Only place with herbivores just in case. 034: Segnosaurus 036: Beipiaosaurus 059: Lesothosaurus 061: Minmi 063: Mini. Stegosaurus 074: Hypsilophodon 075: Othnielia 076: Muttaburrasaurus 077: Heterodontosaurus 079: Ouranosaurus 080: Altirhinus 087: Nipponosaurus 090: Stygimoloch 091: Stegoceras 095: Psittacosaurus Herb2 ----- These are slightly bigger and stronger than Herb1s but they still quail before most carnivores. Place them among their own kind for the best results. 044: Anchisaurus 046: Massospondylus 048: Cetiosaurus 049: Amargasaurus 051: Shunosaurus 053: Diplodocus 060: Scelidosaurus 065: Wuerhosaurus 067: Yingshanosaurus 069: Polacanthus 070: Nodosaurus 071: Saichania 072: Ankylosaurus 078: Iguanodon 081: Camptosaurus 082: Edmontosaurus 083: Hadrosaurus 084: Parasaurolophus 085: Maiasaura 086: Corythosaurus 092: Pachycephalosaurus 093: Homalocephale 094: Goyocephale 096: Protoceratops 099: Centrosaurus Herb3 ----- The huge monsters such as supersaurus are Herb3, and the public loves them so they're certainly worth collecting. They can also be put with most carnivores without threat - only avoid Carn3s with these beasts. Bugs will thrive if put in the same area as one of these. But remember that these can be aggressive, so check the area durability every once in a while. They also have a tendency to quarrel with other herbivores, so a good combination is a Herb3 and Carn2 (and maybe Herb2). 050: Saltosaurus 052: Apatosaurus 054: Supersaurus 055: Seismosaurus 056: Barosaurus 057: Brachiosaurus 058: Mamenchisaurus 062: Stegosaurus 064: Kentrosaurus 066: Tuojiangosaurus 068: Edmontonia 073: Euoplocephalus 088: hypacrosaurus 100: Torosaurus 101: Triceratops 102: Triceratops Lhorn 103: Pachyrhinosaurus 104: Pentaceratops --c. Macropoma =============================================================================== *********** -8. Cheats- *********** =============================================================================== Yeah, I'm sure that loads of you who are unable or can't be bothered to finish the game will cheat, so for the benefit of these people, here is the complete list (if you find one I've missed out, which I may have, email me). Note: I don't think they're case sensitive, but use what I wrote just in case. Isla Sorna: This is the default name if you don't call your park anything, and it gives you the number of trees you get if the game's set on medium difficulty (not really a cheat, but I thought I'd list it anyway). Isla Nublar: Start with a park that has no trees. Confidence100: Customers have 100% confidence in the park. Bonus-Park: The ultimate cheat. Gives you maximum money (1000000000G) so you can do what you like. Love-Park: Couples love your park. Men's-Park: Men love your park. Items-Park: You get all items from the beginning on instead of having to work for them. Luckybus-20: Have twenty buses at the beginning. Zero-Park: Start with no dinosaur DNA (usually you have compsognathus, pteranodon and maganuera). Very special thanks to Lytton Hall (a.k.a. Lybib) for all his help with this section, which was in a mess in version 0.1. You can visit his site at www.Planet-Lybibalot.com. =============================================================================== ********** -9. Email- ********** =============================================================================== If for some reason you wish to email me (preferably it will have something to do with Park Builder or this walkthrough) do so at the address at the top of this FAQ. I accept contributions/suggestions and if I add them to this document you will be given full credit (as you can see, the credits list is somewhat small at the moment, so please, if you have an idea, email me). If you spot a mistake/something I've missed out and are correct you will also be credited. If you're stuck and my walkthrough isn't detailed enough write and I'll help if I can. HOWEVER.. Don't send me junk mail, spam, advertisments etc. because I'M NOT INTERESTED! Also, make the subject something like "JP3: Park Builder". =============================================================================== ********************** -10.
