Story -------------------- Storms lashed the rugged terrain of Kong Island, and outside Donkey Kong's treehouse, Diddy shivered. Diddy had been assigned to guard duty on the awful night as part of his "hero training", and he was not happy about it...But a rustling in the undergrowth soon brought him out of his reverie. "W-w-who goes there?!?" Diddy called. There was no answer but the flashing of reptilian eyes, claws, and teeth, Diddy somersalted into the fray but was quickly overcome by the weight of many scaly assailants. "It'sss the sssmall one...Ssseal him inssside thisss barrel and tosss it into the bussshesss...Donkey Kong's bananasss are oursss!" came a sinister voice. The next morning, Donkey Kong awoke to the familiar rasping voice of Cranky Kong. "Take a look inside your banana cave" Cranky cackled from outside his treehouse. "You're in for a big surprise!" Donkey's mind raced as he vaulted to the cave and peered inside. Instead of the dull golden glow of thousands of bananas, there were only a few discarded banana peels. These has been trampled into the dirt by hundreds of reptilian feet, judging from the many three-toes footprints that covered the damp cavern floor. But what about.... "Diddy...gone...my little buddy..." DK murmured to himself. He was suddenly filled with conviction. "The Kremlings will pay!!" he raged. "I'll hunt them down through every corner of my island, untl i have every last banana from my hoard back!!!!" -------------------- III. Cheats -------------------- Start off with 50 lives: When you go to the file selection screen, move your selector to Erase. Then, hold the Select button, then press these buttons in order: B, A, R, R, A, L. You should hear Diddy say "Not Bad!" Then when you choos your file and start, you will have 50 lives! ------------------------------------------------------------------------ V. Kongo Jungle ------------------------------------------------------------------------ -------------------- LEVEL: Jungle Hijinx -------------------- Animals - Rambi Enemies - Gnawty Kritter Klump Necky Bonus Levels - Two Animal Tokens - Expresso Choice ------------- *Walkthrough* ------------- - K - You begin by somersalting out of DK's treehouse. Jump back up the steps and go inside his hut. Jump onto the tire and get an extra life. There is also a snapshot behind the banana bunch at the far left, but i will leave squirtle's FAQ for the Snapshots. Run to the right, and break the DK barrel if needed. Jump on the top platform where the purple Kritter is and get the K. - O - After getting the K, Run back to the right and kill the two Kritters on the platforms. Run to the right and collect the checkpoint. Break the DK barrel if needed. Collect the O up there too. - N - Run to the right, but watch out for the Necky throwing rocks. When he throws a rock to the right, jump onto him. Then go to the middle platform and collect the Expresso animal token. Run right until you reach the Rambi box. Jump onto the box and open it to reveal the rhino. Jump on him to ride him. It can't transfer through levels though. Now you dont have to jump to kill enemys but it can still be a good idea. Ram the three Gnawtys and collect the N. - G - Jump onto the lower platform and ram through the wall to reveal a bonus level. You collect a lot of banana's plus a red balloon! hold the right button, and you should run right into the G. Drop down off the tree to the left after collecting the G, run into the wall and another bonus level should be revealed. In this level, you need to match three animal tokens to win it. Any will do, but my preference is the Expresso, since you got one earlier. If you get three of these u will go into a level collecting small Expresso tokens. Every 100 you get will get you an extra life. You should jump onto a weak area revealing a barrel. This isn't needed so ignore it if you want. Run through the Klump, then jump over the gap and get the banana bunch, then walk into the cave exiting the level. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ -------------------- LEVEL: Ropey Rampage -------------------- Animal - None Enemies - Kritter Army Zinger Bonus Levels - Two Animal Tokens - Rambi Winky ------------- *Walkthrough* ------------- - K - Select Donkey Kong if you can. When you start jump on top of the cave. Jump onto the trees, when you see a tree with a banana bunch, do a roll- jump onto the tree, collect the banana bunch and drop down into the K - O - Run right and jump onto the rope. Climb up onto the tree tops. Kill the army and kill the two Kritters, then jump onto the ground. If you need a DK barrel, climb the rope and get it. If not keep going to the right. Jump onto the swinging rope. There is a Rambi token right to the left. jump onto the left tree to get the token. Then get back on and jump onto the ground. Kill the army, then get onto the other rope, and jump onto the treetops and get the O - N - There is a small gap in the trees right after the O. Fall through and you should land in an automatic barrel, and you should go through the wall and get the bonus level. You just need to jump on the ropes, to the end. Be careful not to fall or else you wont get this letter. The N is at the end of the bonus level - G - You should fly extremely fast through the level! If all goes well you will land on a Winky the Frog token. Go to the right and jump through the next four swinging ropes. But there will be zingers, make sure you jump when they are out of the way. When you reach the Red arrow sign, there is a small gap that will put you into a bonus level. You will have to watch the Red ballon, then when it stops guess which barrel it is in. If you win you win one extra life. When you land, jump onto the Kritter. Then kil the army, and there is the exit. But don't exit just yet. Jump onto the exit cave, then jump on the last tree to collect the G. Jump down and exit. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ -------------------- LEVEL: Reptile Rumble -------------------- Animals - None Enemies - Slippa Kritter Zinger Bonus Levels - Three Animal Tokens - Enguarde ------------- *Walkthrough* ------------- - K - Grab the barrel and use it to kill the Slippa. Theres also a DK barrel up ahead, so use it to kill the jumping Kritters. Pick up the other barrel, and when you reach the K, get it them run into the wall to reach the bonus level. - O - The bonus level has 10 bananas and an extra life. When you fly out you should land at a stationary wheel. Jump onto the platform and jump into the bonus barrel. The only thing you need to do here is jump into the first barrel. It will shoot you into all of the barrels for you. Kill the bouncing Kritters and you will approach two zingers and an O in the middle. Get the O. - N - Jump over the 2nd Zinger and crawl under the tunnel. Use the wheel to get onto the higher platform and break the checkpoint barrel. Jump down onto some stationary wheels. The N is above a Zinger. Jump over the Zinger and get the N and land on the other set of wheels. - G - Use the wheels to get on the higher platform. Use the stationary wheel to get one of the barrels. Climb down and kill the 2 slippas, if you have a barrel left, go back to where the slippas used to be, walk through the wall and get the bonus area. use the moving wheel to jump and get as many banana's as you want / can get. When you leave the bonus area u should land near a Zinger and a stationary tire. When the Zinger gets low, jump onto the platform. crawl under, and use the jumping Kritters to get the Enguarde token. Crawl under the rock, then defeat the Slippa's. Get to the red arrow sign. There are a lot of tires here, and two jumping kritters. There G is here, jump into it. Then walk into the Exit. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ -------------------- LEVEL: Coral Capers -------------------- Animals - Enguarde Enemies - Chomps Chomps Jr. Clambo Bitesize Croctopus Bonus Levels - None Animal Tokens - Expresso ------------- *Walkthrough* ------------- - K - Swim to the right. Collect the DK barrel if you need it. When you get to the end, swim up. Keep going up and you will run into the K. - O - Go to the right. When you see the Croctopus, wait until it passes by, then go to the bottom area. There is a secret area at the bottom. Drop down and you will get 34 bananas. Go back up and wait until the Croctopus passes. then head up and swim to the right. Swim to the very bottom and get the Enguarde. Then swim back up and stay on the right. There is an extra life there but its floating up so grab it before it disappears. Then get the DK barrel if you need it. Swim down and then left. Once you get the checkpoint barrel, go up. You can get a banana, the O and a banana bunch. - N - Swim down like the banana arrow shows you. Watch for the croctopus guarding the area. At the bottom right, there is another Enguarde if you need it. Swim left and grab the DK barrel. Swim up. as you go up there are two Chompy's guarding. If you have Enguarde, you can get these easily. Go to the right and there is a secret area with an Expresso token. Keep swimming up, and up, until you reach the N. Go right. - G - Go to the right and watch out for the Clambo shooting pearls. Then you will reach two rocks in the middle guarded by a lone Croctopus. In between these is the G. Wait for the Croctopus to be behind you. Go to the right, and then go through the Exit. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ -------------------- Funky's Fishing -------------------- GOAL: 20 Red Fish This is pretty easy, but you can not catch anything but red fish or you will lose time! Time is critical on these levels. If you don't catch anything but red fish, you should easily get 25-30. You get one extra life and a Snapshot. If you do this more then once, you get one extra life and some bananas. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ -------------------- LEVEL: Barrel Cannon Canyon -------------------- Animals - None Enemies - Kritter Zinger Bonus Levels - Two Tokens - Enguarde Rambi Winky ------------- *Walkthrough* ------------- - K - Jump on the two Kritters, then jump in the barrel, and go up and land on the weak spot, revealing the K. - O - Go back to the start, then jump onto the cave you started in. Then jump into the automatic barrel that is up there. You will land on a tree with another barrel right above you. Jump in. Eventually you will land. Run to the right, jump over the jumping kritters in the pit. Then get in the barrels. youll have to time it good to make it. In the diagonal barrel you will be in the path of the O. Hit it - N - When you get to the last barrel, the one next to the wall, do not hit the barrel, go straight in and you will go into a bonus area. You will end up with a lot of vertical moving barrels, you have to shoot yourself through the barrels. You will get about 12 banana's, a DK barrel, and an extra life. When you get out of the bonus area you will end up right next to the checkpoint barrel. Smash it! Keep heading right, killing the Kritters along the way. When you reach a TNT barrel, go back to the left, between the first hump and the platform u dropped down from. throw it on the right side, it should open up a bonus area. You have 3 areas to shoot up from. An Enguarde token is on the left, an extra life in the middle, and a banana on the right. Head right until you reach a stationary barrel between two jumping Kritters. Jump into the barrel, into the automatic barrel, which will reveal the N. - G - Jump over the two Kritters and jump into the Automatic barrel. Most of these are two moving barrels and a Zinger in the middle. Timing is needed in this. After getting through, there are a few jumping Kritters. Keep going right until you get to the Exit cave, with a jumping Kritter guarding it. Don't go in just yet. Jump on top of the cave, then jump onto the first tree. You should see the G. Jump there and get the G. For every time you beat it with a near perfect level you win 3 lives! So definately visit here if you need lives. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ -------------------- BOSS: Very Gnawty's Lair -------------------- Hits Needed: 5 ------------- *Walkthrough* ------------- You will start off by getting a DK barrel, so ur safe there. A very large Gnawty will hop very slowly. Jump on him, and he will turn red, jump back to the far right, he will repeat except he will be faster. Repeat until he has fallen. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ VI. Monkey Mines ------------------------------------------------------------------------ -------------------- LEVEL: Winky's Walkway -------------------- Animals - Winky Enemies - Kritter Gnawty Necky Zinger Bonus Levels - One Animal Tokens - Expresso ------------- *Walkthrough* ------------- - K - Run to the right and jump on the Kritter. The K is above a stationary Necky. Just jump onto him and get it. - O - Get the DK barrel if needed. Kill the two Kritters, then kill the stationary Necky and get onto the slope with the bananas. There is two vertical moving Neckys, with a Winky crate at the top. When one of the Necky's start going up, kill it and land on the platform with Winky. If this doesn't work, then try againw ith the other Necky. At the end of this platform there is the O. Use Winky to reach it. - N - Jump onto the silver platform to get the checkpoint barrel. Kill the Gnawtys coming out of the barrel. On the next platform, there will be a Bonus barrel above the Necky. Jump on the necky and get into the barrel. In here is alot of bananas and banana bunches. However, you can not reach the banana bunches without Winky. The N is also in this bonus area. - G - You will land next to a Gnawty spawning barrel. Jump to the next platform with the bananas, then the next platform, where a Necky is moving left to right. Jump on him and get to the next platform. There is a Zinger circling the Expresso token. There is a vertical moving Necky, when he gets high, jump on him, and get the G, you should land next to the Red arrow sign. Kill the Gnawties coming out of the barrel, jump onto the sloped area, and walk to the exit. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ -------------------- LEVEL: Mine Cart Carnage -------------------- Animals - None Enemies - Krash Bonus Levels - None Animal Tokens - Enguarde ------------- *Walkthrough* ------------- - K - You'll start next to a DK barrel, so break it if you want. Jump into the auto barrel to get into the mine cart. Going down to a lower rail track, you will have to jump a gap. First gap has the K above it. - O - You'll land on a steep slope and going up you'll have to jump a few more gaps. After going through two down ward slopes the O will be in the area right when you are going up. - N - After jumping a few more gaps, the Enguarde token will be on a bar. You will have to hit it right to get it. You will reach the check point soon after this you will have to get onto a higher rail to reach it. Now you will see your first obstacle. Mine carts lying on the rail, you will have to jump over. A few more jumps and you will see your first Enemy. Its another mine cart ecept with a Kritter look-alike in there. More gaps needing to jump. Theres a section where u need to jump over two mine carts in succession, the N is in the middle. - G - Keep jumping those gaps! After going down a slope and jumping to a next track, there will be three banana's and the G. As soon as you get the G, jump, and avoid the mine cart. Eventually you will reach the red arrow. After this there is only one more Krash. Jump over him and roll to the Exit. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ -------------------- LEVEL: Bouncy Bonanza -------------------- Animals - Winky Enemies - Kritter Zinger Bonus Levels - One Animal Tokens - Rambi Winky ------------- *Walkthrough* ------------- - K - Jump onto the jumping Kritter, and run to the right. Ignore the tire, and run to the right. Jump on the jumping Kritter, and get the K - O - After getting the K there is another jumping Kritter. Kill him then run to the right, and there is a Zinger going around a tire. Jump on the tire when hes not near the tire. Run to the right and jump down onto the tires, which you can jump into a DK barrel with. Run to the right and there are two vertically moving Zingers. When they both go low, jump over them onto the next platform. Then jump onto the tires. Go down the slope and get the jumping Kritters. A Zinger will be surrounding the O. Grab it! - N - Take the movable tire and hit the checkpoint barrel by bouncing on it. Keep pushing the tire to the right. Put the tire onto the vertically moving platform. When it gets as high as it can, jump on the tire and land on the high platform. A Zingee will be surrounding the N. Grab it. - G - Near the end of the platform is a jumping Kritter. Drop down to where the banana's are onto some tires. There is a jumping Kritter on the platform above. When you jump off the edge, keep holding right and youll go into an area which has a Winky the frog crate. When u fall down run right and jump onto the jumping kritter by using the tire. Shortly ahead is two jumping Kritters. Jump on these and collect the banana's. Go right and you will approach a wheel with a Zinger around it. But since Winky can jump on Zingers without getting hurt, this is a breeze! There are two wheels just bounce on through. Landing on the platform there are more wheels with two Zingers. Again easy since you have Winky. Theres a Zinger sujrrounding a DK barrel. I suggest getting off Winky for this one if you need it. Head right and you will reach two Zingers surrounding a tire. Again, if you have winky, this is a breeze. Next there are three jumping Kritters, going over three pits. In the second pit, the G is there. Head right again, and if you have Winky, jump on the Zinger. You will reach a horizontal moving platform, with a bonus barrel at the top. If you have Winky, just jump in. If not, no back and get the moveable tire and put it on there and jump up. You have to go up into some tires to reach the bananas. once you leave just walk into the exit. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ -------------------- LEVEL: Stop & Go Station -------------------- Animals - None Enemies - Klap-Trap Rockkroc Bonus Levels - Two Animal Tokens - Expresso Winky ------------- *Walkthrough* ------------- - K - Run to the right, jump onto the Klaptrap, and jump into the first Toggle barrel, and run to the ledge and get onto the ledge with the DK barrel. Hit the next toggle barrel, and run over the two ledges. Jump over the Klaptrap, and jump to collect the K - O - Jump on the tire and hit the Toggle barrel. Quickly jump two ledges over to the one with the Klap-Trap on it. Jump into the toggle barrel and onto the tiny ledge where the sleeping Rockkroc is. When you land, jump into the Toggle barrel and quickly run to the right. Run past the Klap-traps, and jump into the next toggle barrel as you jump onto the next ledge. Walk right and you will see a vertical moving platform with a Rockkroc on it. Go fast before he wakes up and land on the ledge with the DK barrel. Hit this Toggle barrel and jump down to the ledge with the Klap-Trap on it. Jump over it then jump over the three steps in front of you. There will be a Klap-Trap in front of you and the O will be visible just ahead. Do a roll-jump to collect the O. - N - Smash the continue barrel, then drop down off the end of the platform. Pick up the barrel, there should be a Rockkroc down here. Smash it into the wall and open a bonus level. You should get lots of bananas here. When you land run to the right and kill the Klap-Traps until you reach a movable tires. Push it left until you reach three vertical bananas. Put the tire under the bananas, and jump up to go to the bonus level. There are three lines of bananas. The Winky token is on the right. After exiting the level, run right and jump over the Klap-Trap. Push the tire slightly to the right to reach the Toggle barrel. Jump on the Klap-Trap, then jump over the three small platforms with Rockkrocs. When you land, jump on the Klaptrap and you should see the N on a platform. Jump on the Klap-Trap to collect the N. - G - There is another Klap-Trap on the way to another Toggle barrel. Hit the barrel, then jump onto the ledge with a Rockkroc on it. When it moves as far as it can right, jump onto the other ledge. Jump to the ledge as soon as you can as they will start moving soon. (If you used the level warp right behind you at the start, you start here.) This is a very tough part of the level, since you have to keep running. Drop off th ledge and hit the barrel. Run fast and hit the next barrel in the air. Then use the bouncy tire to hit the next Toggle barrel. Use the movable tire to quickly push and jump into the next Toggle barrel. After landing quickly jump up, collect the G right in front of you, then exit the level. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ -------------------- Funky's Fishing -------------------- GOAL: 15 Croctopus A little harded. Avoid the bottles or you will lose time. You should easily get 20 Croc's here. For the first itme you beat it, you get red balloon and a Snapshot. For every time after you get a green balloon. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ -------------------- LEVEL: Millstone Mayhem -------------------- Animals - Winky Enemies - Kritter Krusha Necky Gnawty Slippa Zinger Bonus Levels - Three Animal Tokens - Enguarde ------------- *Walkthrough* ------------- - K - At the start, use the tire to jump on top of the enterance and jump into the bonus barrel. You may have to do a roll-jump on the tire to make it up there. There are three row you can shoot up there. The left one has a DK barrel, the middle one has a banana bunch, and the right one has the K. - O - You'll land right next to a DK barrel. Run right and under the millstone. When you reach the gap, drop down and you will be shot in the air. land on the discolored area to reveal a movable tire. Push the tire to the right, and jump on the Kritter to reach the O. - N - Ok we got the O, now lets keep pushing the tire right. Until you reach the millstone going left to right. See the bonus barrel up there? Thats our target. Push the tire near the ende then jump high to the bonus barrel. You have to jump onto the blinking letter. If you miss it goes faster. You have to spell RARE. The prize is an Enguarde token. Once you land, run to the right until you reach the vertical moving millstorm. There is a TNT barrel there. Don't pick it up yet. Kill the two Krushas, then get the TNT barrel. Hold it until you reach the horizontal moving millstone. Drop into the pit and smash the TNT barrel into the right wall to open a bonus level. There is a green balloon in one of the four barrels, and you have to guess which one it is in. the reward is 2 extra lifes. Once you land, run to thwe right and get the Kritters in the pit. Then you will reach a couple gaps you have to jump over. The continue barrel is in the middle of this. Hit the barrel, then continue. Use the TNT barrel to kill the slippa. Then run under the millstone. At the edge is three vertical bananas. Jump onto the banana,s and land on the spot below them. A movable tire should show up. Push it to the edge. Then when the millstone moves down, jump onto the high part, run up and jump into the Winky crate. Drop down, but dont press right or you will fall into the gap. You should get the N. - G - Jump over the big gap and continue on, when you reach the horizontal moving millstone, when its all the way to the right just drop down. If you need a DK barrel, get off Winky and break the barrel. Go to the right, and watch out for the necky throwing rocks though. Next are two pits with a millstone rolling on top of them. When the millstone passes, go into the first pit. When it passes, kill the Slippa in the second pit and continue on. Jump onto the higher platform. The G is above a Necky throwing rocks. Wait until it throws one to the right, then jump on it, and collect the G. Then there will be a horizontal moving millstone, which is over a large pit. When its away drop down and let it pass above you. There will be a few Slippas, so roll through them. Follow the bananas to reach a vertical moving millstone over a gap. When it goes as high as it can, jump over the gap. Jump up the slope and pass by the red arrow sign. There is one last millstone to pass. This one is moving horizontally. When it rolls to the right, use the tire to jump over it. There will be a red Zinger with two banana bunches over it. You can risk it and use a roll-jump and get the bunches, or you can ignore them. For everytime you beat it afterward, you get three extra lives. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ -------------------- BOSS: Necky's Nuts -------------------- Hits Needed: 5 ------------- *Walkthrough* ------------- This boss is a very large version of the Necky's you have sene in the previous levels, but you only see its head. It will first turn red. It cannot be hit when it is red. Then it will throw a very large rock from its mouth, this is the time to hit the beak. Repeat until he falls. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ VII. Vine Valley ------------------------------------------------------------------------ -------------------- LEVEL: Vulture Culture -------------------- Aninals - None Enemies - Mini-Necky Zinger Necky Bonus Levels - Three Animal Tokens - None ------------- *Walkthrough* ------------- - K - Pick up the barrel in front of you and use it to kill the Mini-Necky. Jump into the barrel, and hit the Necky and hit the DK barrel. Jump into the automatic barrel, and don't hit any buttons, shoot yourself into the necky and onto the platform. The Necky up here will be throwing rocks. Wait until the rock hits the bottom platform before you run. Then after he throws one, kill him then move the moveable tire to the left. There is a brown patch, you have to jump on the tire and land on this to reveal the K. - O - Now move the tireunder the vertical banana stack and you will go into a bonus level. You have to spell out KONG. You win one extra life. Run down to the stairs ito the barrel. Press A and you should land. Run into the next barrel. Shoot into the first Necky, and you should kill the Mini-Necky in the process, and you should also land on an area revealing a barrel. Get the barrel and throw it in the wall to the left side to reveal a bonus level. There will be two Klap-Traps. Each time you jump on one they will drop a banana bunch and become faster. You will eventually win an extra life. You will land in a barrel where four Neckys are. Shoot yourself and kill a few Neckys on the way. You will land on a platform. Jump into the three-way barrel, then shoot yourself into the checkpoint barrel. Then shoot yourself to the right onto the next platform. Run right but watch out for the two Neckys throwing rocks. There is a DK barrel here if you need it. Jump into the Three way barrel, then shoot yourself into the next one. Shoot yourself onto the platform , and kill the Mini-Necky. Then jump over to the small platform with the O on it. - N - Jump into the barrel and kill the Neckys on the way to the platform. Pick up the barrels and kill the two Mini-Neckys. Jump into the barrel. There is a Necky circling a Zinger. When it gets near the top shoot out. If it goes well you should hit him and end up on the platform. run right to find a necky throwing rocks. Go to the right, jump onto the higher platform and wait until it finishes throwing, then kill it. Then jump down slightly to the left to reveal a barrel. Grab the barrel, thn jump back up the first level, then throw the barrel into the second level to reveal a bonus level. You have to shoot though vertical barrels to get the prizes. You get the N during this bonus level. - G - You should land next to the red arrow sign. Jump into the barrel. Time the jump when the bee is moving left. Jump through the next two barrels, and the G is right there. But theres are two Zingers guarding it. When the bottom Zinger gets as low as it can, jump and land in the last barrel. Wait until the Mini-Necky has shot a rock then jump. You should land on him. Then just walk to the Exit. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ -------------------- LEVEL: Tree Top Town -------------------- Animals - None Enemies - Kritter Gnawty Necky Zinger Bonus Levels - Two Animal Tokens - Expresso Expresso ------------- *Walkthrough* ------------- - K - There is a bonus barrel right at the start. Get the Gnawty, then go up until the flying Necky spawns. run back to the start. Jump on him at the right time and land in the bonus barrel. You have to spell KONG, the prize is an Expresso token. You start back at the beginning again. Run up to the barrel. Shoot yourself at the very top and smash the DK barrel. Run up to the next barrels. They are vertical moving barrels. Once you shoot yourself to the platform, kill the three Gnawtys and cross the bridge. Jump into the barrel. These are horizontal moving barrels. Once you get to the end, you will see the K in the air in a gap. - O - Kill the three Gnawtys and jump in the automatic barrel. These will lead to 5 diaganal moving barrels. At the end of these will be the continue barrel. Smash it. Take the barrel, jump the game and smash it into the jumping Kritter. Go into the automatic barrel and when the barrel goes all the way to the right, shoot out and you will get the O. - N - Pick up the DK barrel and smash it into the Kritter then jump into the Auto barrel. You'll have to time it right since the second auto barrel is moving. Once on the platform, run into the next auto barrel. When you get to the vertically moving barrel, wait until it goes down as far as it can then shoot yourself into the bonus barrel. Shoot yourself into the exact middle to get the N - G - Once you land get into the automatic barrel, in a couple of times you'll have to shoot yourself in a moving auto barrel. Shoot out when its real close to you, and you should make it. Jump onto the five jumping Kritters, then continue on. When the moving barrel gets to the bottom jump in, and you should land in it and continue onto the next platform. These have fast moving vertical barrels. At the last one you can shoot yourself on a Necky and get the G, or, you can use the Tire and jump into the G. Then use the tire to jump up. There is an Expresso token right above a Zinger. You can use the roll-jump, or you can ignore it, or you can give up one of your buddys to get it. After that just walk to the Exit. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ -------------------- LEVEL: Forest Frenzy -------------------- Animals - None Enemies - Kritter Necky Zinger Bonus Levels - Two Animal Tokens - Enguarde Rambi ------------- *Walkthrough* ------------- - K - Jump onto the jumping Kritter, then jump onto the rope, jump off at the end, and there are two jumping Kritters and a DK barrel. Get the DK barrel if you need it. At the next rope will be the K. You will have to do the roll-jump to get it. - O - Kill the jumping Kritter and jump onto the next rope. There is a Zinger in the middle. You should either go high, or low to avoid the Zinger. Jump onto the next rope. When you land, you should reveal a DK barrel. Kill the Kritters, then pick up the barrel. Hopefully you have Diddy. If you do, select him, and go to the edge, and kill the Zinger with the barrel. Jump on the rope and collect the O. - N - Go on the second rope, and land on the platform. Jump onto the next rope, where there a lot of stationary Zingers. They go in this order: High, Low, Low, High, Low, High, Low, High, Low, High, Low, High, Low, Low, High, Low. At the end is the checkpoint barrel. Smash it! Jump on the next rope, follow the banana path to avoid the Zinger. Jump on the jumping Kritter. Then jump onto the next rope. There are bees moving up and down. There are about 10 of these. Once you get to the end, jump onto the jumping Kritter, then kill the Necky, and jump onto the jumping Kritter. Get on the rope. Follow the banana path to get the N. - G - Jump onto the Next rope. This time, there are Zingers moving in a circle. Go like this: Low, High, High, High, Middle, and get the G between the two Zingers. There is an extra life here too. There are stationary Necky's. You should go very high. Almost all of them will miss. You may have to move down a little for a couple. Once you get to the platform, make a running jump to the left, and hopefully you will land in a bonus barrel. Watch the four barrels for the Rambi token. Then guess which one it is in. The prize is a Rambi token. Once you exit, you should reveal a barrel. Take the barrel after you kill the jumping Kritters. Go up the steps and past the red arrow, then go down to the bottom. You should be able to see the Exit sign. Face the wall to the left and throw the barrel to reveal a bonus level. There are almost 100 bananas and an Enguarde token. Just walk to the exit after. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ -------------------- Funky's Fishing -------------------- GOAL: Ten Sharks Unlike the others, this one is pretty tough. Sharks don't show up that often, and there alot of time-taking obstacle out there. You get a snapshot and an extra life first time you beat it, and you get an extra life and 10 bananas for every time after. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ -------------------- LEVEL: Orang-utan Gang -------------------- Animals - Expresso Enemies - Klap-Trap Manky Kong Zinger Kritter Bonus Levels - Five Animal Tokens - Enguarde Choice ------------- *Walkthrough* ------------- - K - Run left to find a keg surrounded by a Zinger. when its clear, grab it fast. Throw it to the left, and jump on it. Get ready for a fun ride! Keep riding until you reach the K. Jump off before you fall down. It will kill the Zinger, just jump into the K. - O - Keep going on the tree tops watching out for the jumping Kritters. When you reach the area with four sections, go into the second one, then do a roll-jump and get the O - N - Go to the top section to get Expresso. Fly to the right and get the checkpoint. Then jump onto the taller trees. Klap-Traps can't hurt you on the Expresso. Jump to where the DK barrel is on. Fly over the Manky Kong, and land on the tree with the Metal Keg. Fly over the next two Manky Kong's and land on the platform where the Klap-Trap is. Klap- Trap's can not hurt you while you are on the Expresso. Drop down and slowly walk to get the N. - G - Fly to the right until you land on a ledge with banana's on it. Then jump onto a ledge with a banana bunch on it, then the next ledge with a barrel on it. After landing on the ledge, jump off Expresso and pick up the barrel, then throw the barrel into the wall to open up the entrance to the bonus level. Jump back on Expresso, and go through the entrance. In the bonus level, jump onto the tire at the left side of the room, and bounce down onto the three shadow sections below. After exiting the bonus level, go back to where the K used to be, then keep going until you get on land. Jump off Expresso, and then jump up to the ledge on the left. Jump on the Klap-trap there. Get on Expresso and jump onto the left ledge, then jump off and leave him there. Next, jump up to the ledge on the right and jump on the Klap-trap there. Drop down onto the tree on the right and pick up the DK barrel, then run to the left and hop up to the ledge closest to the Manky Kong. Go as close to the left edge as you can, so that you can just see Manky Kong on the left side of the screen. Wait until he throws a barrel, then quickly jump up to the left and run into him with the DK barrel to get him out the way. Jump down to the right to get on Expresso, then jump back up to the left where the Manky Kong used to be, and run down the vine to the left. The next bit is difficult: At the bottom of the vine, jump over the large gap between trees and fly as far to the left as you can to fly over the top of the Manky Kong. As soon as you land, run fast to the left and when you get to the top of that vine, jump from the top of the tree and fly as far as you can (keep tapping B) over to the left to land on a ledge. Jump straight up to land on the top ledge. From the top ledge, jump left to land on top of the nearest tall tree. From the tall tree, jump and fly over to the left, making sure that you hold Y so that you fly further. You should clear all four jumping Kritters. As soon as you clear the fourth Kritter, stop flying and land on the vine. After landing, run down the vine and do a small jump over the gap with the Zinger circling it. Then walk slowly up the vine, as there are jumping Kritters bouncing up it. Walk slowly down the other vine, and wait for all the Kritters to fall down the gap, then jump onto the ledge on the left. Run left to find a DK barrel, and from the edge of that ledge, jump and fly over to the left to find a secret entrance. Go through the entrance to find a bonus level. After exiting the bonus level you should land on a tire. Hop off Expresso and jump on the tire. Bounce from the tire over to the shadow on the right to reveal a DK barrel, and bounce over to the shadow on the left to reveal an Engaurde animal token. Leave Expresso where he is, and run over to the right side of the platform. Drop off the edge and pick up the barrel after landing. Holding the barrel, drop down the gap between the platform and the tree to land on the tire, and then walk right and drop down another gap to land on a tire. Walk through the left wall with the barrel to enter the bonus level. Exit the bonus level. After landing, run right and pick up the barrel. Holding the barrel, drop down the gap between the platform and the tree to land on the tire, and then walk right and jump over the next gap. Run to the right, and go straight into the wall with the barrel to open up the bonus level. In the bonus level, jump up onto the tire on the left. Jump down to the right and hit the shadow for the G. Collect the G, then exit the bonus level on the right. After landing, use the tire to bounce up onto the ledge on the left. Wait until the barrel thrown by the Manky Kong has just crashed, then jump over to the tree on the right and run up the vine, jumping over any barrels that are thrown down. When you get to the top of the vine, quickly jump on Manky Kong before he has the chance to throw another barrel. After Manky Kong has been defeated, run back down the vine to the left and jump over to the platform to pick up the barrel, then jump back over to the vine on the right and run up it. Jump down from the tree over to the platform on the right, then run down the two steps and crash through the wall on the right, just before the red arrow. In the final bonus level in this level, jump on the crate to land on Expresso, then fly over to the right to collect the red balloon at the far right of the bonus level. Exit the bonus level, then walk right to exit this level. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ -------------------- LEVEL: Clam City -------------------- Animals - Enguarde Enemies - Bitesize Chomps Jr Chomps Clambo Croctopus Bonus Levels - None Animal Tokens - Winky ------------- *Walkthrough* ------------- - K - Swim to the right, and avoid the Clambo. Then go up. To the left is a secret enterance with the K and an Enguarde. Get the K and then the Enguarde. - O - Swim back out with Enguarde. Head up and go into the DK barrel if you need it. Swim toward the left and a Clambo is to the right. The Clambo will shoot two directions. Go to the bottom and then to the right. The O is at the very top. - N - Go to the right, then head up. There is a banana bunch to the right of the Clambo, who shoots two directions. Go up and there will be two more Clambos on either side. They both shoot in two directions. There is a Chompy on top, and a DK barrel to the right. Head to the left. There are about six Chompys in this room, but this is easy if you still have Enguarde. Keep heading left, and the checkpoint barrel is here. Smash it! Go up. There is a Clambo to the right, shooting only one direction. But at the top, there is a Clambo shooting three directions. See the Winky token up there? We can't get it quite yet. So continue down to where another Clambo is shooting in one direction. Pass him, then smash into the DK barrel. Head up where there a lot of Chompys. Hit them with Enguarde. Keep going up, and the N will be in the top left corner. - G - Head to the right, where there will be a Winky token and a Clambo shooting in four directions. Grab it if you want. Next room has Croctopus'. Try to stay around the middle and go straight if u get a clear shot. The last room has a clambo shooting in five different directions, with the G under. Jump on the Gnawtys, and jump onto the rope. Climb to the bottom to catch the K - O - Run to the right hit the Gnawty with the DK barrel. Run as the millstone chases you. Jump over the gap and jump up the slope and the millstone wont be able to chase you any more. Jump onto the swinging rope, and jump onto the next platform. Another millstone will chase you. Jump over the three Gnawtys and onto the swining rope and quickly jump up the slope to make it stuck. There is another millstone that will chase you right ahead. Jump over the three Gnawtys, onto the swinging rope. You should get the O as you are jumping onto the next rope. - N - Swing on the rope then jump off quickly, jump over the Gnawtys and jump on the rope and climb up and it will be stuck. Smash into the checkpoint barrel too. Jump down and use the DK barrel to get one of the three jumping Kritters. At the top there is a millstone. Jump on the rope and run fast. Climb at the top of the rope and let the millstone pass you. Jump over the two pits with Zingers in them. You will reach three ropes. The second one has a banana arrow pointing down. climb below the rope and enter the bonus level. There is one Klap-Trap, and every time you jump on him it will spit out one banana bunch, and it will get faster every time you hit it. Anyway, once you leave the bonus level, Jump down onto the weak area of the ground which will reveal the N. - G - There are two sets of three jumping Kritters. Jump over them and continue until you reach a wheel in the middle of the air. Jump on it and go to the other side and continue on. There is another millstone, except there is a tire behind it, and a platform above it. Get a head start. Run fast, through the gaps and the tire jumps, until you reach the red arrow sign. There is a millstone in the gap. Jump over it and run. Jump over the jumping Kritters. When you get to the ropes, he will drop. When the rope gets to the end, drop down below it to get in an automatic barrel which will shoot you back up into the G. Now jump off the rope and Exit. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ -------------------- BOSS: Bumble B Rumble -------------------- Hits Needed: 5 ------------- *Walkthrough* ------------- This is an annoying boss. When you hit her, it turns red, then comes back with a Zinger shield. You have to kill all the Zingers before you can damage her again. First Phase: Five Zingers, All around her. Second Phase: Five zingers, two in front of her, two behind her, one below her Third Phase: Five Zingers, Three around her, Two outside the first bee circle Fourth Phase: Five Zingers, All right in front of her in a straight line After the fourth phase, just hit her one more time and she will be dead. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ VIII. Gorilla Glacier ------------------------------------------------------------------------ -------------------- LEVEL: Snow Barrel Blast -------------------- Animals - None Enemies - Klap-Trap Zinger Necky Bonus Levels - Three Animal Tokens - Rambi Winky ------------- *Walkthrough* ------------- - K - At the start, there will be a very slow Necky above you. Jump onto the Igloo, jump onto him and get in the bonus barrel. You have to watch the Winky token and see where it stops at. You will never guess what the reward is. A Winky token! You will drop near a barrel. Jump in it and shoot yourself over the barrel. There is an extra life, if you jump on all three Neckys and catch the red balloon. There is a Zinger semi- circling the DK barrel. when it gets to the right, jump on and try to kill the Zinger with the DK barrel. Jump over and get into the barrel. Jump Northeast onto the high ledge, watching for the Klap-Traps while going down the ledge. At the bottom of the slope, the K is in the air. Jump into while jumping into the barrel too. - O - Shoot Northeast into the next barrel, then southeast, then northeast, and watch out for the Klap-Traps. There is a Zinger surrounding the next barrel. Once it goes to the right, jump into it. Shoot out when the Zinger is out of the way. Do the same to the three-way barrels., and get out of the way of the Klap-Trap. Pick up the metal keg and kill the four Gnawtys with it, then jump into some automatic barrels. You should land on a downward slope. go down and jump into the barrel. Shoot into the automatic barrel, and you will keep going until you crash into the continue barrel. Walk left and kill the Krusha. Then follow the path of bananas down the gap to a bonus level. Shoot yourself down the middle to get the O. - N - Continue right, and jump into the barrel. go directly east, and there should be six Necky's flying by. After they pass jump onto the short platforms, until you reach an automatic barrel. Jump in there, and you will shoot right to a 360 barrel. Shoot yourself directly down and you will land on a platform. Jump over to the N and into the bonus barrel. - G - Once you leave the bonus level, you should land under a barrel, with two bees around a Rambi token. If you want it go ahead, if not continue on. Jump in the barrel, and you will end up in alot of 360 barrels. You have to time it good to make it through. On the third barrel, shoot yourself down, and you will get in an auto barrel, about 100 bananas and the G. once you shoot up, just walk to the exit. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ -------------------- LEVEL: Slipslide Ride -------------------- Animals - None Enemies - Army Klap-Trap Necky Zinger Kritter Bonus Levels - Three Animal Tokens - Enguarde Expresso ------------- *Walkthrough* ------------- - K - Slowly walk ahead until you see the jumping Kritter. Jump on him when you get under the high rope and ride up, jump to the left and use ther barrel to break the wall and enter a bonus level. You have to spell out KONG. The prize is an Expresso token. After exiting, jump off and jump onto the two Kritters. Jump onto the rope. At the top, jump off, pick up the DK barrel and kill the Army with it. Jump onto the rope, and when you get to the top, jump off and you will land on the K - O - Run to the right and jump onto the rope. In the middle there is a barrel. Choose Diddy before you pick it up. Jump down and break it into the left wall to enter the bonus level. In this level, you have to spell out NINTENDO. You win a red balloon if you do this. After the bonus level, run right, and kill the army, and jump over the Zinger onto the rope. When you get to the top, jump onto the left rope to avoid the Zinger, then the right, then the left. Jump to the left, and if you want the banana bunch, kill the Necky and jump up there. Go through the small gap, and jump on the Army if you got Donkey. Jump high on the rope and quickly jump to the other side. Walk down the slope and jump on the Kritters. Jump on the first rope, go down a little, jump to the second then quickly jump onto the third tope and into the checkpoint barrel. Walk left and avoid the Klap-Trap, jump onto the rope and into the auto barrel. wait until a jumping Kritter comes. Jump on him, then climb the rope to get the O and two banana bunches. - N - Jump back down and run to the right, avoiding the two Klap-Traps. When you get on the rope, on the first three ropes, jump immediately to the right. But on the fourth rope, wait and then jump back onto the third rope to reach a bonus level. Go to the far right rope, watch out for the three Zingers. Jump to the right and get the N. - G - Take the DK barrel, and throw it on one of the two Zingers. Go above or below, depending which one you hit, the Zinger and jump on the rope, and jump to the left. Take the rope to the top, and then take the six ropes and jump to the left. Then jump the rope and jump to the other side. You should be next to the red arrow now. Jump onto the two down ropes. Always hold up during this section. Hold northwest and northeast depending which rope you are on. When you reach the top, jump over and hit the G. Run to the right and Exit. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ -------------------- LEVEL: Croctopus Chase -------------------- Animals - Enguarde Enemies - Chomps Chomps Jr Squidge Croctopus Bonus Levels - None Animal Tokens - Winky Enguarde ------------- *Walkthrough* ------------- - K - Swim to the right, then follow the bananas up, and you will encunter your first Croctopus. Keep swimming right and he will stop soon after. Get the DK barrel if needed. Swim up fast before the Croctopus gets you, then swim down and the Croctopus will stop. Swim to the right and another Croctopus will chase you. Quickly swim up and get the K. - O - Continue swimming up and go left the first chance you get. Croctopus will go to the right. Swim left, there is a DK barrel at the top if you need it. Swim left htere is a Croctopus. Swim up, then right, then up, then left. Swim at the very top and the Croctopus will pass you. Keep swimming into the automatic barrel. after you get done, swim right through the wall, then follow that and the O will be to the left. - N - Go back into the second automatic barrel, and continue on. There will be another Croctopus. youll have to swim a long way to get rid of this one. Just keep going up, and go right after going right, left, right, left, The croc will stop up there. Now smash into the continue barrel. There is another Croc right above the continue barrel. Swim up and get the DK barrel if you need it, since he will stop right below the DK barrel. There will be another Croctopus as you are heading up. But swim to the left. You will enter a secret room, with four banana bunches, and an Enguarde token. Head back up, and then swim to the right, watching out for the Chompy. Go down to the right another will chase you. But when you go up, let him pass you, then swim behind him and get the Winky token in the process. Once he swims to the top, go to the right and into the auto barrel. Swim to the left, watching out for the Chompys. Pass the croctopus and swim southwest, and he will stop. Watch out for the Chompys, but if you do get hit by one theres a DK barrel conviently placed ahead. You'll pass a Croctopus, so quickly swim up, and right, then up and the Croctopus will stop. The N is only a short swim up. - G - Swim up, then right, then left, and another Croctopus will chase you. Once you get to the top left, swim to the left to enter an area with Enguarde. Go back and swim to the right. A croctopus will be straight ahead. Run right, and jump onto the swinging rope, and jump over the Mini-Necky. Jump over the Kritter and jump onto the swinging rope. Jump onto the Necky and land on the small platform. Jump on the two Neckys and land into the bonus barrel on top of the tree. You will get Expresso, an Expresso token, and many bananas. Once you leave the bonus level, run right and jump onto the swinging rope. You can hit the Necky if you want and land on the platform. Jump onto the platform with the Klap-Trap on it, then jump onto the next one. Jump onto the three swinging ropes. As soon as you get as far right as you can, jump and hold right and you'll land on the next rope. Going down, you will see the O in a gap. Choose Diddy, and do a roll-jump into the gap, then jump back. - N - When the Mini-Necky moves up, jump on the the platform, and when he moves down, you kill em. Jump onto the rope, hit the checkpoint barrel, then drop down and land in the auto barrel to get back on the platform. Jump onto the small platform and get the DK barrel if you need it. Jump on the next platform and go down the slope. At the bottom is a Manky Kong. Wait until he throws a barrel then jump on him. Jump onto the swinging rope and land on the tire. Jump onto the next rope, when it comes your way. Land on the small platform, and Jmup up to the next one, watching out for the Klap-Trap. To reach the N you need Expresso. Hopefully you have him. From the edge of the high platform, fly up, get the N and walk into the cannon barrel to go to a bonus level. - G - After exiting the bonus level, get off Expresso, walk up the slope and kill the Manky Kong. Then jump onto the swinging rope. Jump on the Necky, land on the small platform, and jump to get the G. Jump down the small platforms, and land next to the red arrow sign. Choose diddy, and after the Manky throws a barrel, jump to the net platform, and duck so he cant hit you. Then jump on him after he throws another barrel. Jump onto the Klap-Trap., then jump onto the next platform and walk to the exit. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ -------------------- Funky's Fishing -------------------- GOAL: 50 Squidgins Tough, but there are no things that will bring down your time limit. Try to catch a lot of combo's. Sometimes there will be about 20 in one area. You get two lives and a snapshot first time you beat it. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ -------------------- LEVEL: Rope Bridge Rumble -------------------- Animals - Winky Enemies - Army Zinger Kritter Bonus Levels - Two Animal Tokens - Choice ------------- *Walkthrough* ------------- - K - Run to the right, land on the tire and jump to the next platform, killing the Kritter. Drop down in the area between the two platforms and land in the bonus barrel. Jump through the tires, and there is a Winky box at the end. Once you land, you should see the K with a Zinger around it, but Winky can kill Zingers, so just jump onto him, and get the K. - O - Bounce up to the right, and then run right and jump over to the next platform. There is a Zinger orbiting a tire. If you got winky just jump onto him. If not, wait until the Zinger passes by, then jump up. Cross a few more platforms, and another bee surrounding a tire. You will reach Zingers surrounding two wheels, and 2 more unguarded. Just jump on each tire, or you can skip a tire. Run right and jump into the checkpoint barrel. Run right, and there is a jumping Kritter. Kill him, then do a roll-jump to get the O (if you have Winky, you need to get off him to do it) - N - Run to the right and jump onto the moving tire to get plenty of bananas. Jump down and continue right. Just jump and kill the Kritter. There is a moving tire, with the N. Jump on the tire and get the N. - G - Run to the right and get on the tire to jump over the Zinger. Get the DK barrel if you need it. Then get on the other tire and jump over the two Zingers. Jump over to the end, and the G is in the gap. You need to do another roll-jump to get it. Run past the arrow sign and jump onto the tire. Jump onto the tire, and when you bounce onto the second tire, bounce up to the bonus barrel at the very top. You have to match three tokens to win that token. After leaving, you see a moving tire with three Zingers. Its ok if you sacrifice a buddy here. Jump off the tire, and walk to the exit. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ -------------------- LEVEL: Torchlight Trouble -------------------- Animals - Squawks Enemies - Mincer Krusha Klump Bonus Levels - Two Animal Tokens - Rambi ------------- *Walkthrough* ------------- - K - This is a dark level, but Squawks will be behind you with a light. Jump up and get the DK barrel. Kill the Klump and jump over the oil barrel. You should see the K to the left. Do a roll-jump, and hop back. - O - Kill the Klump, then jump over the oil barrel. Jump onto the next platform, kill the Klump and jump over the first oil barrel and walk up to the second. When the horizontal platform moves to the far left, jump over the oil barrel and jump onto the platform. Hit the O while you are riding. - N - At the end, jump to the next platform and kill the Klump. Run up to the second oil barrel, and when the platform moves low, jump onto it. When it gets high, do a roll jump and you should land on the Krusha. Go to the next vertical platform. When it gets low, jump onto it, and when it gets as high as it can, do another roll-jump. Jump over the second oil barrel, following the banana path, and you should land right on the checkpoint barrel. Walk under the tunnel, and kill the Krusha. Select Diddy, pick up the barrel, and smash it through the wall right below the barrel, which will reveal a bonus level. You can win one banana, one banana bunch, or one extra life. Once you land, you will land betwee two Mincers. Select DK, and jump over the Mincer, then kill the Krusha, then jump over the other Mincer. Then kill two more Krushas before approaching a gap with a Mincer at the edge. Do a roll-jump and kill the Krusha. You should be right next to the red arrow sign. Do a roll-jump onto the next platform. Then do another onto the vertical platform. When it gets very low, jump to get the N then get back on. - G - Jump on the Krusha and jump over the Mincers. Choose Diddy, pick up the barrel, and run under the vertical moving mincer. Smash it into the left wall to reveal a bonus. Once you leave the bonus level, just walk through the exit. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ -------------------- BOSS: Very Gnawty Rampage -------------------- Hits Needed: 5 ------------- *Walkthrough* ------------- Similar to the first level boss, except he makes one big jump and very pointy things from the ceiling fall down on you every time you hit him. Land on the silver square to reveal a TNT barrel. Break the first oil barrel in the ground to reveal a hole. drop in to get into a bonus level. Go in the very middle, and you will get one extra life. After leaving you need to kill the two Kritters. Get the DK barrel if you need it. Go down the slope and jump over the gap to collect the K - O - Use the tire to jump over the oil barrel. Run on top of the stairs, Jump from the top to land next to the tire to reveal the TNT barrel. Walk to the left and go into the bonus level. Okay, you need to do this right to get 101%. In this bonus game you need to get three SINGLE BANANAS. You will win a barrel. Do a small jump holding the barrels, to enter another bonus level. You have to spell out three words. If you get one word, you get one life, two words, three lifes, three words, six lives Continuing on, you will land on a tire. Use the tires to jump over the oil barrels. Then jump down, be careful not to land on any oil barrels though. A DK barrel should be revealed. Use it to kill the Kritter, then jump into the automatic barrel. A tire should be revealed. Push it right, avoiding the Kritters. Keep pushing it right until you see the O. Use the tire to get the O. - N - Smash into the checkpoint barrel. Run right until you see a gap. Drop down and land on Rambi. Jump up and get the Manky Kong. Jump over the gap and over the oil barrel. Get the Kritters, and the Manky Kong, and when you get to that oil barrel in the middle of the air, drop down and run into the right wall to reveal a bonus level. Shoot through the barrels, and get the N. - G - Wait until the flame on the oil barrel goes down. then jump on it and continue on, Do the same on the next one. If you need a DK barrel here is your chance to get one. Wait until the flame goes down, then jump onto the two oil barrels and kill the two Kritters. Walk on and jump on the oil barrel when the flame goes down and continue on. Go up the stairs and get the Manky Kong. Jump onto the two barrels and land on the tire. Do the same the next two times. When you get back on land, wait for the last oil barrel to quit flaming, then jump down onto the shadow to reveal the G. Walk right to exit. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ -------------------- LEVEL: Trick Track Trek -------------------- Animals - None Enemies - Gnawty Krusha Klump Klap-Trap Kritter Necky Mini-Necky Manky Kong Bonus Levels - Three Animal Tokens - Winky ------------- *Walkthrough* ------------- - K - Run to the right and watch out for the Necky throwing rocks. Land on the pad, and ride it. Jump on the Necky and get the DK barrel if needed. After making afew turns, there will be the K with a necky throwing rocks on it. Hit it after it throws the second rock. - O - Jump onto the Neckys and continue riding. You will go down and jmup onto another Necky. Continue riding and ducking and jumping on the Neckys. Right after you approach a Mini-Necky and kill it, there are three Neckys flying, hit these and keep holding right and hopefully you will hit the O. - N - Watch out for the two Mini-Neckys spitting rocks, when you are going up. Jump on them while you are going down. At the end, when it stops, do a roll-jump into the bonus barrel. When you land, kill the Gnawty and hit the continue barrel. Land on the pad too. Watch out for the Gnawtys coming from the top of the screen and landing on the pad. After you pass the Zinger, before you go down, jump onto the high pad with the two Gnawtys on it, and jump into the bonus barrel. After landing on the pad again after the bonus barrel, watch out for the Gnawtys. After passing the area where you jumped to enter the bonus barrel, a Kritter and a Krusha will land on your pad. Jump on both of them. After a Klump lands on your pad, the N will be visible, its under a necky throwing rocks. Jump at the N after it throws the first rock. - G - Run to the right so the Klap-Trap will land behind you. The G is surrounded by a Zinger. Jump at it when it is out of the way. Watch out for the Manky Kong throwing barrels. Jump over the Zinger, then stay to the left for the Krusha to avoid you. When you reach the end, kill the Manky Kong with a cartwheel/roll, whichever you have. then drop down, there is a Winky token and a bonus barrel. Get the token if you want, then enter the bonus barrel. You will land right next to the exit. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ -------------------- LEVEL: Poison Pond -------------------- Animals - Enguarde Enemies - Bitesize Mincer Squidge Chomps Jr. Bonus Levels - None Animal Tokens - Expresso Rambi ------------- *Walkthrough* ------------- - K - As soon as you start, swim to the left to get Enguarde. Then swim out, then up to get the K - O - Swim to the right, and go all the way to the right if you want a banana bunch. If not, head up, then swim all the way right. After passing the two Mincers, head up. there are two Mincers in your path. At the top, head left. There are two stationary Mincers, and one moving above them. When the moving Mincer goes left, go between the stationary Mincer. Once it goes right, go past the other stationary one, then continue on. After the banana's there are two Mincers moving left to right. Stay at the very top and you can avoid both of them. Then head up and grab the O. - N - Go to the top then go right. Watch out for the Mincer then smash the checkpoint barrel. Watch out for the Mincers. If you lost Enguarde earlier, you can get it back. Swim all the way to the right, and you will reach the box. Swim back to the left and go up where the banana path shows. Swim up and wait until the Mincer goes left, then swim to the right. Go to the bottom right and get the DK barrel if you need it. Then swim up, watch out for the three Mincers moving in a circle. You can go through the top wall and get the Rambi token or you can swim left. The N is at the top shortly after. - G - When you reach the area to go down, take this shortcut: Swim to the left, follow the arrow, get the Expresso token, then swim left again, you will cut through a short section of the level. Watch for the Mincers though. Go up while its moving up, then go right when you get the chance. Go right, and run into the G. There are two more Mincers. When then get together swim above it or below it. Then go to the right and exit. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ -------------------- Funkys Fishing -------------------- GOAL: 10 Pieces of Trash Very easy. You can easily get 15+ Pieces of trash. You have to spell KONG. The reward is an Expresso token. When you land, run right use the Slippas to climb onto the rope. The third rope has the K. - O - When you jump down, run right, and jump onto the Mini-Necky. Run up and jup down to the lower platform. Crawl under and watch out for the barrel spawning Slippas. Climb up and watch for the Mini-Necky. Get the DK barrel if you need it. Jump over the barrel spawning Slippas. Jump over to the first rope, go high, and when the Zinger goes low, jump to the second, and third. drop down from the third and go right. Wait for the Zinger to go up. run under him. Then wait for the first Zinger to go up, then run in the middle of them. Then when the second goes up, run under him. Jump onto the rope, wait until the Zinger on the second rope goes low then jump on it and quickly climb to the top. When the third one goes down jump on that rope then jump onto the small ledge to enter the bonus level. The O is in the bonus level - N - After leaving, smash into the checkpoint barrel. Kill the Klump, and then jump onto the down elevator, and as soon as you do, jump to the up one and go to the other side. Watch out for the Mini-Necky. Get on the Down elevator, and at the bottom left side, the N is on a small ledge. - G - Kill the Klumps and then get the metal keg and hit the Zinger with it. Get on the elevator then jump off at the top. Kill the klumps, then get on the three elevators. The first two move down, and the last one moves up. You have to get on the Up one before the down elevators hit the two Zingers. Kill the Klump, and smash the DK barrel if needed. Then kill the other Klump. Now there are three more elevators. They go Up, Down, Up. Get to the second elevator as soon as you can. Jump onto the third then jump to the platform. Then kill the Mini-Necky shooting three rocks. There is a Zinger going horizontal. Jump over him when a elevator goes above him then jump to the next area, where the red arrow sign is pointed. The G is hidden behind the pole. Jump onto the down elevator and when it gets to the bottom, jump onto an up elevator, and ride it. Jump onto a down elevator over a Zinger. Ride it to the bottom again, then jump to an up elevator. Go to the bouncy tire, and after the Necky shoots a nut bounce up and jump on him. Jump onto the last Elevator of the level. Ride it to the bottom, then jump to the right to reach a bonus area. Just walk to the exit when you exit the bonus area. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ -------------------- LEVEL: Blackout Basement -------------------- Animals - None Enemies - Klap-Trap Manky Kong Klump Kritter Bonus Levels - Two Animal Tokens - Enguarde ------------- *Walkthrough* ------------- - K - The lights are flickering during the level. Run right and hit the Kritter with the DK barrel. Run to the right and and jump over the gap, and then another gap with the K on it. - O - Run to the right and jump on the Kritter. Wait for the lights to come on then jump on the small platform and cross. Get the Kritters, and then jump onto the three platforms. Jump through. If you want the Enguarde token, do a roll-jump. When you get on the other side, kill the two Kritters. Run to the tire, bounce off and onto the next platform. Kill the three Kritters. Run over to the three tires, two low and one high. Go onto the third tire, and land on the weak area to reveal the O. - N - Jump onto the next tire, and hit the continue barrel. Jump onto the Klump and onto the swinging rope. Then kill the Klump on the platform. Wait until the lights are on and get on the moving platform. When it gets as far right as it can jump off to the next platform. Wait for the lights again to get on the vertical one. Jump off to the right, and kill the two Klumps. Run right and jump onto the swinging rope. Get the DK barrel if you need it. Now there are two moving platforms. Wait until the lights are on before you jump. Jump to the right on the second platform and wait for the lights again. Jump on the horizontal platform, then wait for the lights to jump onto the second one. Jump onto the platform and quickly jump to get the Klap-Trap. Jump onto the first arrow platform and quickly jump off, and jump again to get the Klap- Traps. Then go to the area with four arrow platforms. Jump onto the fourth one, or the one with the banana below it. Stay on it and you will enter a bonus level. There will be 360 barrels, and shoot it in the middle to get the N. Then leave the bonus level. - G - When you leave, you will land on a metal keg. Pick it up, drop down ,then throw te keg on the left wall, then ride it until it opens a bonus level. You have to pick the barrel. Once you leave, turn around jump on the ledge and get the G. Climb up and jump into the cart. When there are a gap between the bananas jump and you will enter a bonus level. Once you leave you will drop into another mine cart. jump over the Necky, then jump into the next two Neckys to get the O. - N - Jump into the new mine cart, then jump over the Zinger, then you will have to jump over three gaps. Go up and smash into the checkpoint barrel, then go down and jump over the Neckys. Now there are a few more gaps, but on the third gap is the N. As soon as you get the N, jump into the new mine cart - G - Jump onto the wheel when you see it and you will enter a bonus level. You have to match three animal tokens to win that token. You will land on a tire. Jump into the mine cart. Jump in the middle of the Zingers, then jump onto the tire where a Zinger and the G is. Get the G then jump into the new mine cart. Jump onto two tires with a Zinger in the middle of them. Once the Zinger gets low, jump over and onto the next tire. then jump into the mine cart. Then jump onto another tire, then jump over three bees on the tracks. Folow the banana trail to the last mine cart. There is a bonus thing under the tracks. Jump off to the right just over half-way down the slope to land on the platform. Turn left and jump over the track, landing on the first bouncy tire. Bounce up to the next bouncy tire on the left, then the third. From the third tire, bounce up into the cannon barrel above to be shot up to a bonus level. In the bonus level, bounce on the moving tire to collect bananas. After exiting, go through the exit. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ --------------------- BOSS: Boss Dumb Drum --------------------- Hits Needed: 6 ------------- *Walkthrough* ------------- You know those barrels that spawn enemys, that have the poison sign on them? This is a huge version of it. He will throw out different enemys depending on how many times you have hit him. Use Diddy Kong as first, so that if you lose him, you still have Donkey to take out the tougher enemys. Here are the enemys it spits out. Pick up the TNT barrels to damage him. One Hit: Two Kritters Two Hits: Two Slippas Three Hits: Two Klap-Traps Four Hits: Two Klumps Five Hits: Two Armys After the Sixth time you hit him, he will explode. Five down, One to go! ------------------------------------------------------------------------ X. Chimp Caverns ------------------------------------------------------------------------ -------------------- LEVEL: Tanked Up Trouble -------------------- Animals - None Enemies - Gnawty Necky Zinger Kritter Bonus Levels - One Animal Tokens - Enguarde ------------- *Walkthrough* ------------- - K - Walk to the right and smash the DK barrel. Jump onto the two platforms and jump on the Kritter. Jump onto the pad. Get the first fuel barrel, and then when it goes up and right, jump off and follow the vertical line. You should land in a bonus barrel. Watch where the red ballon goes. Reward is a red balloon. When you leave you land on the pad again. Get the first fuel barrel, then ignore the one above the Necky. Duck down and when the fuel gets down to one get the next one. As you are going down you should see a Necky below the K. Jump up and get the K and land back on the pad. - O - Get the fuel barrel on the arrow platform, and ignore the one above the Kritter. Then jump onto the arrow platform and get the fuel. Go under the Necky. When you are going up, jump over to the Kritter to get the O then jump back on. - N - Get the fuel barrel above the Kritter. Jump onto the arrow platform, then jump onto the Necky and the small platform. When it gets below you, jump and get the fuel barrel. Once it gets to the end stay on it. It will go up and toward an Enguarde token. Then when it runs out of fuel, jump off and smash the checkpoint barrel. Run to the right and get on the pad. Jump onto the tire and get the fuel. The track will then go down, and you should see a tire over on the right with a Zinger right in front of it. Ignore the barrel betwee the two Zingers, you do not need it. It will go up, then right. Get on the tire that the Zinger is surrounding and jump into the barrel. Land on the platform. When you get a chance, jump onto the platform with the wheel. Push it and watching for the Gnawtys. Push the wheel onto the pad, and jump into the fuel barrel. Stay there as a auto barrel comes and shoots you into the next barrel. When you go under a platform you should see the N. Get it then jump up to the platform. - G - Jump between the two bees and get the fuel barrel then land ont he platform. There is a barrel that goes into an automatic barrel. When it is almost at the auto barrel, shoot yourself out of the barrel, and you should land on the pad. Jump over the Zinger, then jump over the two Zingers and get the barrel. Then go down, right and jump between the Zingers and get the barrel. Then jump over two consecutive Zingers and get the two barrels. Go up, and right, to get the barrel the Zinger is circling. Get to the left side of the platform. Jump over the first Zinger, duck under the second Zinger, then jump over the third Zinger. Now you will go slow under the next barrel. You can take the automatic barrel, it is a shortcut to the exit, but you will miss the G, so unless you don't care about the KONG, ignore it. Jump over the three Zingers, the third Zinger is below the G. Ride it to the end. Jump off to the wooden platform, then jump over the two Gnawtys. Jump over the pit when the Mincer is low. Run under the other Mincer, then before you jump up, the K is under a Mincer. - O - Stay where you found the K. When the Mincer starts to go up, jump up, then when the other mincer goes low, jump over it. Go down and land on the Rambi box. When the bottom Mincer starts to come up, jump over and barge the two Gnawtys. Wait until the Gnawtys drop down then when the Mincer gets high, jump onto the platform. Do the same for the next one. You should approach the O with a stationary Mincer and one moving up and down. When it gets as high as it can, jump through the gap and get the O - N - Run to the right and jump over three Mincers. Wait for the Mincer that is moving, and go behind it. When it comes back your way, jump over it, then jump over the next Mincers. Go and get the checkpoint barrel just ahead. There is a Mincer going around in a circle around another Mincer. Wait until it goes to the bottom, and run over to the right. Barge into the Krusha, and continue on. If you still have Rambi, hit the Krusha in the bottom then run through the left wall for the bonus level. After you leave it, you will approach three Mincers. Run behind one of them. Then get off Rambi, if you still got him. Jump onto the horizontal platform, and jump over the Mincer, and land on the platform. Use the TNT barrel to kill the Krusha. Get onto the next platform, and jump into the N. - G - Jump over the two Mincers, and smash the DK barrel if you need it. There is a Mincer circling a platform. Quickly jump on the small platform and jump onto the large platform. There are 2 Krushas next. Now there is a platform with two Mincers around it. Jump on it real quickly and jump onto the next area. You should pass the red arrow. There is a fast Mincer making a semicircle around another. When it goes to the left jump over the stationary one and when it goes left again run past it. Jump onto the very small platform, and walk into the already open bonus area. You have to avoid the Mincers. At the end is the G. Try it as many times as you need to. Once you finish it take the TNT barrel and run it right until you reach a wall. Throw it into the wall and enter a bonus area. You have to guess which barrel the balloon is in. After leaving walk to the exit. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ -------------------- LEVEL: Misty Mine -------------------- Animals - Expresso Enemies - Army Klap-Trap Slippa Bonus Levels - Two Animal Tokens - Expresso Choice ------------- *Walkthrough* ------------- - K - Run right and take the TNT barrel and throw it to a Slippa. Then jump over the Slippa spawning barrel, and jump over it. Grab the DK barrel and smash it if you need to. There is another Slippa spawning barrel you need to jump over. Jump onto the rope and collect the bananas and jump off the other side. Jump over another Slippa spawning barrel, and jump onto the top of the hill. Do a running jump to jump over the Slippa spawning barrel. At the end there is a Slippa spawning barrel throwing them to the right. Jump on the barrel then jump high on the rope. Jump off and over the enemy barrel. Jump over the other one, and keep going until you reach another rope. Jump on the barrel and onto the rope. Jump onto the second rope and over the enemy barrel. Jump into the checkpoint barrel. Run right until you reach another enemy barrel with a rope. Jump on the rope then climb as low as you can. When you stop, there is a secret ledge to the right, jump in there. In the bonus level, you can find all four letters. Jump onto the rope and the K is on the top row of bananas - O - In the bonus level, the O is in the bottom row of bananas - N - In the bonus level, the N is in the top row of bananas - G - In the bonus level, The G is in the bottom row of bananas. Jump onto the Expresso at the end. Use Expresso to get the Expresso token. Run right until you reach the TNT barrel. Hop off Expresso and pick it up, but make sure not to hit any enemys. Run right until you break it against a wall to enter a bonus level. Match three animal tokens to win that token. Once you land you will end up in a series of Klap-Trap enemy barrels. After passing three enemy barrels, get the DK barrel. You will need it. Soon you will encounter an enemy barrel of Armys. Jump on them with DK. After another Klap-Trap one, there will be another Army one. Jump over the edge where there will be four barrels right next to each other all spawning Slippas. Run fast over there and collect the three bananas and exit. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ -------------------- Funky's Fishing -------------------- GOAL: You start with a low timer. Get Kombo's to fill the timer up and complete the challenge. You just need to be patient. There are only two kinds of fish, all you need is patience. You will get the amount of bananas needed for an extra life, a blue balloon, and an animal token of the animal token you have two of. The K is in this bonus level at the end. - O - Once you leave run right, and smash the DK barrel if you need it. Run to the gap and hit the toggle barrel. Jump onto the platform, then jump to the left, kill the Klap-Trap and hit the toggle barrel. Jump onto the next platform. Ride over and hit the toggle barrel, and kill the Klap- Trap. Jump on the tire down to the next platform. Use the tire to turn on the toggle barrel. Jump on the five small platforms to get to the next one. Hit the toggle barrel, then hit the two Klap-Traps. Then hit the toggle barrel and get the eight bananas. Jump to the next platform and use a roll-jump to get the O. - N - Jump on a couple more platforms and you will reach the checkpoint barrel. Run to the right until you reach a jumping Kritter going over a DK barrel Hit the Kritter and smash the dk barrl if you need it. Run into the toggle barrel. and when the Kritter bounces to the right, jump up and push the tire out before he can hit you. Push it under the toggle barrel, and hit it, then run to the moving platform. Jump onto the Klap- Trap and jump off the edge and land directly below the toggle button. Jump over and grab the barrel from under the necky. Run down three steps, then over the gap, and throw the barrel into the wall opening a bonus level. The N will be in this bonus level. - G - After landing run to the toggle barrel and get on the vertical platforms, juymp on both and land on the Kritter and hit the toggle barrel. Bounce on four of them and land on the platform and go on. Go under the first Zinger, jump over the second Zinger, jump over the third Zinger when its low, to activate the toggle barrel. Jump over the fourth Zinger when the horizontal moving Zinger is to the right. Jump over the fifth when the Zinger is to the left. The sixth Zinger is going up and down over the G. Jump over it when it gets low. Jump over the Zinger when the horizontal moving Zinger is too the right. Them jump over the horizontal Zinger, run to the right and turn on the toggle barrel. Jump to the right, where the red arrow is. Jump up the steps, watch out for the barrels being thrown by the Manky Kong. When you get to the top, jump on Manky Kong and jump to the right. One that can not even be beaten by Donkey Kong. Pick up the barrel and hit him. Walk to the platform, and as soon as you land on it, walk left onto a hidden platform, which will take you to a bonus barrel. The prize is an Expresso token. When you land jump onto the right platform, and then the up platform. Kill the three Krushas and jump down and get the K - O - Take the up platform, and jump to the down platform. Jump over the Zinger and land on the right platform. Jump over the Zinger and into the platform. Jump onto the second platform and get the Armys, then jump onto the Up platform. Then jump onto the platform, then jump onto the down platform, watch the Zingers. Land on the wooden platform, then land on another down platform. Pick up the barrel and kill an army with it, then quickly run right and jump across the four down platforms. Pick up the barrel, jump to the metal and kill the army with it. Jump up to the next one and make the army fall off the edge. Go to the top, jump on the down platform. Grab the snapshot thats right next to you, then hit the O and jump onto the platform. - N - Do a short jump when the bee is above the checkpoint, then jump on the Gnawty on the platform. Get the DK barrel if you need it. Jump onto the small platform with the Army on it. Jump down onto the Gnawty again. The N is being surrounding by a Zinger, jump at it when it on the other side, then get back on the platform. - G - Jump onto the up platform, then the down platform, then the right platform, jump over the Klump and jump over the other Klump, then run to the two wheels. On the second wheel, jump onto the Gnawty, and do a four hit combo on the four Gnawtys and go the platform. Pick up the barrel and hit the Zinger with it. Jump over, pick up the next barrel and hit the silver Krusha with it. Jump on there, then immediately jump off to land on the platform with a red arrow sign. Jump over the vertically moving yellow Zinger and land on the right arrow platform. Jump onto the next right arrow platform and pick up the barrel. When the platform starts to shake, throw the barrel at the silver Krusha and jump to the next right arrow platform. Jump up to the tire when you see it above and jump up to the up arrow platform with the barrel. Pick up the barrel and turn left. Throw it at the silver Krusha on the left, then jump onto the now clear right arrow platform. Stay on the left side of this platform until you see the vertically moving yellow Zinger, then run right and jump over the Zinger to land on the next down arrow platform. Pick up the barrel and throw it at the silver Krusha on the right arrow platform, then jump across to the platform. Ride this platform along to the right, and jump up to collect the barrel on the down platform half- way. Drop back onto the right platform, and throw the barrel at the next silver Krusha. Ride this fast moving right arrow platform until you see the tire, then jump up to the tire. Bounce from the tire up to the left arrow platform above. When the platform starts shaking, jump up to the right arrow platform and ignore the barrel. Jump half-way to collect the G, then jump onto the Gnawty on the down arrow platform. Ride this down arrow platform down past the normal platform leading to the exit of the level. After passing the first platform, jump off to the right to land on a secret platform down below. Run to the right edge of this secret platform and jump into the automatic cannon barrel to be blasted up to a bonus level. In the bonus level, try and guess which barrel the Enguarde token is in. Go through the Exit. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ -------------------- BOSS: Necky's Revenge -------------------- Hits Needed: 5 each. ------------- *Walkthrough* ------------- Slightly different from the second level. There will be two neckys, one on each side, and will each throw rocks. You need to hit each head five times to beat this boss. I suggest alternating each one, so you will only have to hit the other once when it starts throwing four rocks. Once one of the birds are dead, the other will start switching sides, and will start throwing four rocks. If you alternated, you will only have to hit him once. Just go to the opposite end and do small jumps over the rocks. Then jump ont he tire and hti him and you will win. Only one more boss to go! ------------------------------------------------------------------------ XI. Gang-plank Galleon ------------------------------------------------------------------------ -------------------- BOSS: King K.Rool -------------------- Hits Needed: 9 ------------- *Walkthrough* ------------- The final battle in the game takes place on a ship, with a view of the island seen in the background. Jump over the crown, then hit him. He will turn goldish then run to the other side. Jump over him. He will throw his crown again. Jump on him again. Then he will run twice. Jump over him both times. Then he will throw his crown again. Jump on him again. He will run faster and faster. After he runs three times, jump on him again after he throws his crown. Then he will jump twice, then jump over to the other side, and cannon balls will fall. Avoid these, then jump on him again after he throws his crown. Then two rows of cannon balls will fall. Avoid these. Then jump on him again after he throws his crown. Now three rows of cannon balls will fall. Avoid these. Jump on him, then the credits will roll. Don't they look kind of odd? It should, because these aren't real. Suddenly, K Rool will get up, and make short jumps to the other side. Try to roll under him. Then throw his crown again. But now if you die, you continue here, so you don't have to start over! Anyway jump onto him again after he throws his crown. He will small jump twice, and throw his crown again. Jump onto him and he will small jump three times, then throw his crown. Jump on him and he is gone. Way to go! Congrats, you beat DKC!
