I'm Ángel, a Spaniard addicted to everything related to Captain Tsubasa. This is the reason why I began writting faqs with this game: because it was new, there was no info available, and I really want to know how it works! And because I think everybody also wants the last thing, I thought I could help a bit. I hope I can do it properly! -+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+- | | | LEGAL MATTERS | | | -+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+- This file is copyright 2002 "nitta11". I have not seen all the parts of the manga, but I've read it in Internet (I've only seen up to the 2nd tournament - the one between Toho and Nankatsu - and a little of the Asian Cup in the World Youth). I'll sum it up (as far as I can remember): ----------------------- Japan's Tournament ----------------------- The manga begins when Tsubasa and his family go to live to Nankatsu City (thanks to Video Game Addicted Person for telling me the name. Then Tsubasa enters the Nankatsu (Newpy for us, Spaniards) and meets Genzo Wakabayashi, the invincible goalkeeper: nobody, with any kind of ball (even a baseball!), has ever scored him. But Tsubasa does, with a pass from Roberto Hongo (R. Cediño, or something like that), who becomes his particular coach (he was an incredible football player from Brazil). That year, like the others, there's a tournament between the two most important schools in the city: Nankatsu (where Tsubasa plays) and Shutetsu (San Francis in Spain, where Genzo plays here). The winner will go to the Japan National Tournament. Just after the second half, a new player appears: Taro Misaki, who will form the Golden Combination with Tsubasa. However, the match ends 2-2, so they will mix up the two teams and other 3 school teams of Nankatsu City, which will be called Nankatsu, as the city. Incredibly, Ishizaki (who played with Tsubasa) is also in the list of players. Then Roberto promises Tsubasa to take him to Brazil if he wins the tournament. NOTE: In the Spanish version of Captain Tsubasa J, Kisugi (Shusetsu) is called Julian Ross. Obviously, this is a mistake because this is the Spanish name for Misugi. He's actually called Johnny Meison. Then, Nankatsu enters the Japan Tournament. Its stars are Tsubasa, Genzo and Misakiand. However, Genzo gets injured in his leg and can't play in the tournament unless his team reaches the final. So the tournament begins. In the tournament they'll meet great players like the Tachinaba brothers, who did some acrobatic moves to score and almost eliminated Nankatsu. They also played to Meiwa, where Hyuga, an extremely rude player, and Sawada, his mate, played. But they got to the semifinals: Furano------------- |----- Finalist 1 --- Meiwa FC ---------- | |---- Champion Nankatsu ---------- | |----- Finalist 2 --- Musahi ------------ Hyuga's team almost loses to Matsuyama's (Furano), who teached him how to play as a team. The next match is Nankatsu VS Musashi, or what is the same: Misugi VS Tsubasa. Misugi has a heart problem, so Tsubasa lets him win as he will never play football again. However, Misugi is not happy because he wants Tsubasa to play as he usually does and Genzo shouts to Tsubasa that he can't break the promise he did to him. Then he remembers he must win the tournament if he wants to go to Brazil. So Tsubasa starts to play well and the match ends 5-4, with Nankatsu as the winning team. As VGAP tells me, in the manga version Tsubasa does not play as he usually does because he's shocked by Misugi's techniques and gets discouraged. However, Meiwa has a new goalkeeper: Ken Wakashimazu, who uses the posts to stop difficult shots. The final match starts, and all the team will play as good as they can since it's the last match Misaki will be playing with them (he'll move to another city). Also, Genzo is in the goal, so Hyuga's shots won't be that difficult. Nanktsu scores first using new shot between Tsubasa and Misaki: the Twin Shot ("Tiro Combinado"). However, Hyuga scores 2 goals and the 3 main players of Nankatsu get injured, but that can't stop Tsubasa, who scores another goal just before the time was over. Once into the extra time, no one seems to be able to score, and hey'll have to play 2 more halves of 15 minutes each. During the first half, Misaki and Tsubasa rest while the defenders try to block all Hyuga's shots. Then, on the second half, Tsubasa scores other 2 goals, so the match ends 4-2. While Nankatsu is celebrating the victory, Roberto heads to the airpot, alone. When Tsubasa finds out, he rushes to the airport but it is too late: Roberto is on his way to Brazil already. NOTE: There's a new anime version that changes some things I have mentioned. The first one is that the series is much longer (I mean more chapters). The second one I remember is that in the final match ends 3-2 and not 4-2. The last difference is only for Spaniards: instead of New Team, Nankatsu is called "Los Gabilanes" and Hyuga's team also hasa different name, but I can't remember. ----------------------- Preparations ----------------------- After the first tournament Tsubasa played in, Misaki continued travelling around the world with his father, Genzo moved to Germany to play in Hamburg SV and Nankatsu won the next 2 tournaments. Hyuga left Meiwa to play for Toho, as well as Sawada and Ken. But this tournament is going to be different: the confrontation between Hyuga and Tsubasa is greater than ever. Without the help of Genzo and Misaki, Nankatsu only depends on Tsubasa. After some hard training, the clasifying tournament begins. All the matches are pretty easy for the two-times national champion team, but, as always, the final will be different. Nankatsu's opponent is Otomo, where some ex Nankatsu players play, such as Urabe. But the real star of the team is (drum sounds) Shun Nitta! He's the player with the best phisical condition Japan has ever seen, as fast as a bullet. Plus, he has his powerful Hayabusha Shot ("Tiro del Halcón" - "Falcon Shot" - in Spanish). However, he needed some traning because his tecnic is at a really low level (compring to Tsubasa or Misaki: players of his level). The first part of the match is very boring, since Tsubasa and Nitta mark each other, but at the end of the first 45 minutes Tsubasa scores in a desesperate move. Near the end of the second half Nitta scores after he tries very hard to make a volley. But Nankatsu scores two more goals, so Nankatsu will be the team that participates in the national tournament. At the same time, Toho is playing against Mambo. Hyuga has not many problems to score, but in a battle between him and Misugi, the later falls, which makes Hyuga st playing hard. For this reason he visits his old coach: to recover his anger. But once again in the tea, his coach doesn't allow him to play. During his hard trainings, Tsubasa improves his game and he even develops a new shot, which will be his identity mark: the Drive Shot ("Tiro del Águila"), a shot that goes very high but then goes right down. While Tsubasa trains, Toho is playing against Mambo in the local tourament to see which team clasifies for the national tournament. In the first half, Toho has not many problems to score a few times, so Misugi is forced to play also in the first half (although he has recovered from his heart problem, he must take some rest). During the second half, Hyuga and Misugi fight and the latter falls, making Hyuga freeze. Anyway, Toho wins, but Hyuga's old coach says he has become weaker: a lady. He also tells him that he's now worse than Tsubasa and if he wants to beat him, he must recover his strength. He goes to train with his old coach a few days, and for that reason Toho's coach doesn't let him play. The first match will confront Tsubasa and Soda, a really rude player, ever more than Hyuga: he doesn't matter injuring others. His team scores just at the begining of the match, but in the last 10 minutes Nankatsu scores 2 goals and clasifies for the next round. The next match will meet not two old rivals but three: Tsubasa and the Tachinaba brothers. Nankatsu scores 2 goals and Tachinaba brothers try to score using his old technic, but Ishizaki stops it easily. Then they use their new shot: the Skylab Hurricane ("Catapulta Infernal"). Next time, Tsubasa tries to stop this shot, but he protects Masao when they fall and he injures his shoulder. During the 10 minutes he's off, the Tachinaba brothers score again using the low Skylab Shot. However, when they try to do it one more time, they hurt their legs, so they'll only be able to do it one more time. However, to fool Tsubasa, they do a new, but old at the same time, shot: Twin Shot. Morisaki stops the shot and Ishizaki clears it, then Tsubasa, who has come back to the field, scores and they win. This is how the play-offs go: Meiwa FC ------- |- Semi-finalist 1 ---- ????? ---------- (Meiwa FC) | |- Finalist 2 ---- ????? ---------- | | |- Semi-finalist 2 ---- | Toho ----------- (Toho) | -------- |- |Champion| Furano --------- | -------- |- Semi-finalist 3 ---- | Minamiuwa ------ | | |- Finalist 1 ---- Nankatsu ------- | |- Semi-finalist 4 ---- Hirado --------- Toho and Meiwa clasify fot the semi-finals with not many problems, so they'll have to play against each other. The next match is between Furano and another team I don't know the name. That team knows extremly well the tactic pass of Furano, and Matsuyama's teams finishes the first half losing 1-0. But during the second half, Matsuyama draws the match, and in another attack passes the ball to a player that was playing quite bad (due to the nerves), so he could score, showing that appart from being a great player, Matsuyama is also a great captain tat encourages his mates wen they need it (similar to Misugi's doing). Now it's the turn for Nankatsu and Hirado. Hirado's captain is Hiroshi Jito, who can be perfectly described as a human wall. He's a defender, but his combined shot with Sano, a forward, is very hard to stop (Jito shoots to the goal and in the last moment Sano hits the ball with his head). Tsubasa tries to solve the situation, but the score remins 3-0 for Hirado in the half time: three goals using Jito's and Sano's combination. The only hope for Nankatsu is the Drive Shot, but Tsubasa has not mastered it yet. Plus, his medical supervisor told his that this shot hurts his leg, so he tells him that his leg can only make 3 Drive Shots before being injured. Tsubasa scores 2 goals using his famous shot, due to the encouragement of Misaki's, Wakabayahi's and Roberto's voices on his head. However, Jito was not going to let Nankatsu win and he's able to stop the 3rd Drive Shot (his eye starts to bleed). When Nankatsu gets the ball, Tsubasa shoots once again and Jito tries to stop it with his body, like before, but the ball's power was so great the pushed Jito into the goal. Before the match ends, Tsubasa tries to do a 5th shot, but Jito stops it (what a fight!) and both players remain laid in the field. Both players get up and Tsubasa tries the 6th Drive Shot, but his leg can't take it any more. Then Misaki's and Wakabayashi's voices tell him that he must trust his mates, like he did with Misaki 3 years ago. Tsubasa passes the ball to Teppei, who combines with Taki. After passing between Jito's legs, Teppei passes to Taki, who scores and rises the result to 4-3: the final result. After the match, all Hirado members start to cry but Jito, who tells them that they must train hard to be able to beat Nankatsu next year. One day has passed, and the match between Toho and Meiwa is about to begin. Meiwa is weaker than Toho, technichly, but they know the way Sawada and Wakashimazu play, and they won't have to worry about Hyuga (he's not still playing). Their advantage can be seen during the first half: Sawada, Toho's best weapon currently in the field, is totally neutralized. All Meiwa players score a goal (no, I don't mean one each player, go on reading): after Wakashimazu deflects a ball, all Meiwa players push the ball to the goal with their feet, as if they were tackling someone. However, Sawada realizes he can't play like he was doing because they'll lose, and he also realizes that he has also an advantage: he knows how Meiwa players play because all they know comes from Hyuga. So he starts to play different and when he was going to shoot, he passes the ball to a mate who scores and draws the match in the second half. Meiwa tries to score again with the "shot" that gave them the 1-0, but Toho defenders neutralize it. Then all the Toho members go to attack, leaving Wakashimazu alone. One Meiwa plater steals the ball and passes to shis captain, who's alone in front of Ken. However, Ken leaves the goal and tackles the player, dribbles all the players and scores just when the time was going to finish. So Toho will be the 1st finalist. Now it's the turn of Furano and Nankatsu. Knowing that his rival has great power with Tsubasa, Furano tries to score first attacking all the players at the same time, so the ball will be always in their feet. And so they do: the match begins 1-0. Some time later, Matsuyama and Tsubasa fight each other. Tsubasa wins and scores with an overhead kick. Later, Izawa scores after the goalkeeper cleared the ball. However, just when the match was going to end, Matsuyama scores with his new shot: Eagle Shot. A few seconds later, Tsubasa gets the ball and shoots from the central circle with his Drive Shot, but the ball crashes with the post. Even though, it could not stop the ball and as soon as it touches the field, runs to the goal. So the game ends 3-2, but Tsubasa has to be taken to the hospital because of his injuries and spends there all night. NOTE: In the old anime, Hyuga, Matsuyama and Nankatsu pals visit Tsubasa in the hospital room. When Hyuga and Matsuyama start to fight, Tsubasa says "Karl Heinz Schneider". Then Hyuga tells everybody about the World Tournament they played in Paris 3 years ago. This tournament didn't really exist in the manga version. At last, Nankatsu gets to the final, as well as Toho. Tsubasa and Hyuga play the 100% of their posibilities (well, I know Tsubasa is injured, but he plays as well as his body allows him). The first team that scores is Toho with one of Hyuga's Tiger Shots. Then, Nankatsu reacts and Tsubasa scores counter-shooting Hyuga's Tiger Shot, but before the half time Hyuga scores another 2 goals. However, during the second time, Nankatsu scores another 2 goals, so they will have to go into extra time. On the second half of the second extra time Tsubasa is able to score the 4th goal. But Hyuga wouldn't let Tsubasa win another tournament, so he tries many times, doing his Tiger Shot. When there were some seconds left and Hyuga was trying to do another Tiger Shot, Sawada tries to tackle him to stop ihm from failing again. Instead of shooting, Hyuga shoots the ball high, jumps on Sawada's foot (similar to the Tachinaba's Skylab Hurricane) and jumps over the defenders. When he lands, he jumps again and does an overhead kick. Morisaki catches the ball but it pushes him to the goal. Although Tsubasa tries to stop Morisaki, both of them end inside the goal. So this year there will be 2 winners: Toho and Nakatsu. Just after, the names of the 22 players that will go to train for the national team are said. From these 22, 17 will be the ones that will wear the Japanese shirt: GK => Wakashimazu ------------ Toho Morisaki --------------- Nankatsu Kato ------------------- Furano DF => Ishizaki --------------- Nankatsu Jito ------------------- Hirado Soda ------------------- Arnic* MF => Tsubasa ---------------- Nankatsu Izawa ------------------ Nankatsu Matsuyama -------------- Furano Sawada ----------------- Toho Lucas Flinton* --------- Mayestic* Oscar Grils* ----------- Meiwa FW => Hyuga ------------------ Toho Sorimchi --------------- Toho Oda -------------------- Furano Sano ------------------- Hirado Masao Tachinaba -------- Hot Dog* Kazuo Tachinaba -------- Hot Dog* Taki ------------------- Nankatsu Kisugi ----------------- Nankatsu Keil Coleman* ---------- Meiwa NOTE: The names with * indicate that their name is the Spanish (because I don't know the Japanse one). ----------------------- Jr. Youth Tournament ----------------------- This year is special: the World Tournament is going to take place in France, so the best players of all Japan are called to form the national team: Ken, Soda, Jito, Ishizaki, Sawada, Matsuyama, the Tachinaba brothers, Nitta, Misugi, some Tsubasa's team mates, Hyuga and, of course, Tsubasa, Captain Tsubasa. Before flying to Paris, the Japanese team has to play a friendly match against a German team: Hamburgar SV, where Genzo plays. Tsubasa can't get to Germany to play, so he won't be there, Wakashimazu is forced to be the goalkeeper, since Genzo is their opponent and Hyuga is named captain of the team (just one thing: how can play a national team against a club? This is really strange). However, Genzo is not going to be the only problem; Hamburgar SV has the best forward of all Europe: Karl Heinz Schneider, also called "the Kaiser" ("the Emperor" in German, I think). Bad start for Japan, Schneider's Fire Shot is impossible to block: only Genzo did stop it once. He even injures Ken's hands, who has to be substituted by Morisaki. Only Hyuga is able to score to Genzo, but just because he let him score. Although Tsubasa arrived on the half time, his team mates Hyuga and Matsuyama do not let him enter the field (Matsuyama: "Although you have no. 10, you can't come here wenever you want. We will win this match without your help!"). At the end, the result is 5-1 to Hamburgar SV. After that day, the Japanese team began to train hard, at the same time that Genzo enters the team. However, he insults his team mates (but because he wanted to encourage them to train harder) and they don't let him play, so Wakashimazu will have to play instead. One day, while Tsubasa walks around the streets of Paris, he meets his old pal: Misaki, who starts to play with Japan. The first match is against Italy. The team wouldn't be too hard to beat if their captain didn't play: Gino Hernández, a great goalkeeper. However, Japan's quality is enough to beat Gino and they pass. After that match, the one versus Argentina comes. Their main stars are Fan Díaz and Pascal. Díaz's control of the ball is incredible, but Tsubasa's is higher, and they pass to the semifinals. The first semifinal will be against the home team: France. Their best forward, Lui Napoleon, is too good, but not comparable to their captain: Pierre. However, these two players were not the only weapons they had: remember that Japan's playing in Paris, French capital city. In the match, this meant the red card they showed to Soda, the yellow card they showed to Tsubasa and the anulation of 4 complete valid Japanese goals. After a very long match, just as the final between Toho and Nankatsu, Japan wins 5-4 (in the Penalty Kick!). In the other semifinal, Uruguay lost to the best team of all Europe. Yeah, you're right, the team that will play the final of th World Youth is no other than Germany, leaded by Schneider. But he's not the only problem. Karltz, Schester and other guys will be helping the Kaiser. And we can't forget who's between the posts: Düter Muller, also called "the European Wall". Why? Well, he just doubles you in size. Luckily, Japan's goal can count again with the stop-it-all goalkeeper Genzo Wakabayashi, after his mates forgave him (they understood he was only encouraging them). Both team play at the same level, so once one team scores, the other draws the match. At first, Muller was too good, but his main weapon turned out to be his weak point: his size. He culd easily stop any shots, but it was difficult for him to stop low ones. At last, Japan became the World's Champion. Now Roberto will take Tsubasa to Brazil, since he had not oly become the best Japanese, but the best player of all the world. ----------------------- The way to World Youth ----------------------- Two years have passed since that final in Paris, and Japan's Tournament is still dominated by Hyuga's Toho and, guess who?, Misaki's Nankatsu. Plus, Nitta, Urabe and Kishida joined the team. But this time Toho becomes the champion: without Tsubasa's leader actitude, Nankatsu is very "weakened". But our friends will meet again in some friendly matches preparing for the next World Tournament. The only which is worth to mention is the one between Japan and Netherlands. As always, our friends teach a lesson to their opponnts. After another year, the action is now starred by Aoi Shigo, a player that received three lucky coins from his hero: Tsubasa. He goes to Italy to play for Milan, but he finally enters Inter Milan, but another player had to be kicked out: that's because he isn't accepted by his mates, excepting their captain, Gino Hernández. He's finally accepted after he saved the team in a match scoring 2 consecutive goals. At the same time, Tsubasa starts to play in Sao Paolo, with Roberto as his coach. During the Brazilian Cup he shows what's he's capable of, and in the final he will have to beat one of the best Brazilian players: Carlos Santana. However, Tsubasa turns outto be the best and Sao Paolo wins the cup. While these players are rising their fame, the Japanese team is having trouble. Its two best goalkeepers won't play: Wakabayashi because he's injured and Wakashimazu because he can't make the coach trust him (the coach said he wont't play because Genzo's better - true - so he leaves the team) (Wakashimazu: "I'm not a loser for making Wakabayashi look good"). The new supervisor, Gamo, makes the Japan team play against the Real Japan Seven a team formed by 7 players who pretend to substitute the current Japan team. Japan loses ad the old coach suffers a heart attack so Gamo will be the new coach, who makes the team train very hard and excludes these players from the team: Hyuga, Misaki, Soda, Jito, the Tachinaba brothers and Nitta. Now the Asian Cup begins. Three more players enter the Japan team: Tsubasa (who was playing in Brazil), Shingo (the same but in Italy) and Wakabayashi (partialy recovered). They will have to play against China Tai Pei, Guam Islands and, finally, Thailand. After these matches, the real intentions of the coach are revealed: he was encouraging his players to train very hard to prepare for the World Cup. They all return to the team, some with new moves, like Hyuga's Raiju Shot or that Nitta learns to usehis left leg as he uses his right leg. Also Wakashimazu returns to the team, so Genzo can at least let his injures cure. Finally, Japan wins the Asian Cup and clasifies for the World Youth. ----------------------- Sub-20 World Cup ----------------------- This tournament will take place in Japan! You are maybe wondering, if Japan is the anfitrion, why did it have to play qualifying matches. The same thing I wondered until Video Game Addicted Person corrected me: the tournament was going to take place in another country, but a war occured in this country so the comission decided to play the World Youth in Japan. Unluckily Misaki suffers a car accident, so he won't be playing. The first match is between Japan and Mexico. Its goalkeeper, Espadas, ir really hard to beat (he even scores a goal), but Shingo and Hyuga make Japan win the match. The next match is against Uruguay, where an old Japanese pal plays, now with the help of Ramón Victorino. This game turns out to be really hard, ending 6-5 to Japan. The last match before the final phase is against Italy, once again. There's a new face: Gentile, but the great match of Shingo is enough to bring the victory to Japan (and because Gino and Gentile only played for the last 15 minutes, due to their injuries). The final phase begins: three more victories and the World Cup will be won. The first one is against Sweden, which forces Tsubasa to use a new shot Roberto has taught him: the Sky Wing Shot (a mere copy of Hyuga's Raiju Shot). Once in the semifinals, Japan will have to beat again Netherlands, but with Cruyfford playing now. However, as Video Game Addicted informed me, this match was skipped, so we don't know how good Cruyfford was. The match ends 1-0 to Japan, so the anfitrion team will be in the final, once again. However, things didn't show good for Japan. Its rival will be Brazil, the four-times world champion. And guess who is the coach? Roberto Hongo, who burns the number 10 of Sao Paolo and Brazil, saying there's no one that can be in that place again (speaking to Tsubasa, of course). He also says Tsubasa he can't win this time: Brazil is too much for Japan: it won Germany 5-0 (Schneider, what did you do to lose in such way?). Carlos Santana will be the star of Brazil, as well as Salinus, the goalkeeper, and Alberto, the captain. But not everything went bad: Misaki recovers for the match, so he can combine with Tsubasa. At the end of the match, Japan wins 2-1, but Roberto hasn't played all his card. He prepares a substitution, and a new player but unknown player enters the field. His name is Natoureza, and in two minutes he shows what he's capable of and scores one goal, forcing the extra time. But Tsubasa's guts didn't allow him to lose, scoring another goal, that gave them the victory. ----------------------- Road to 2002 ----------------------- After that great match, all the players start to play in professional teams, as well as Tsubasa marries Sanae (at least). Here's the relation of where do the most important players play: Tsubasa ------------------------ F.C. Barcelona (Spain!) Natoureza ---------------------- Real Madrid (Spain!) Hyuga -------------------------- Juventus (Italy) Shingo ------------------------- Inter (Italy) Wakabayashi -------------------- Hamburg (Germany) Schneider ---------------------- Bayern Munich The rest of Japanese players --- In J-League teams Here's when the game takes place: just after the World Tournament. In the manga, some interesting things happen: Wakabayashi meets again Schneider and Müller, Hyuga becomes a really famous player in Italy and Tsubasa meets a great Brazilian player in Barcelona: Rivaul (due to license problems, possibly, the author could not possibly put his real name, but I guess he's Rivaldo). They form a great combination, but I haven't seen any real match yet: only trainings, so we'll have to wait until we see again a match between Tsubasa and Natoureza, currently the best world players of their age. NOTE: Although I exchange the words manga and anime freely, I am totally basing my summary in the anime version, suposing that it is exactly equal to the original manga. #################################### #Captain Tsubasa Road to 2002 anime# #################################### This is the new anime series made to continue de story. Firstly, we have a remake, but with some changes (some of them are intolerable): Tsubasa VS Genzo => The first duel betwee these two is a match. Shutetsu VS Nankatsu => The match ends 1-1 and Misaki had already been in Nankatsu team, so he knew everybody but Tsubasa. Musashi => The match ends 4-3. Meiwa => The grand finale ends... 2-1! There's no Twin Shot (I can't simply understand). Brazil => Roberto doesn't tell Tsubasa anything about the trip to Brazil and he does not leave just after the match. That was the base of the next part... Tsubasa's injury => It's Jito who injures Tsubasa's shoulder with his charge. The Tachinaba => I haven't seen them yet (I missed a couple of chapters but anyway...). Just as Soda. The final match => There's golden gal in the extra time (as nowadays), so before the extra time they were 4-4 already. Hyuga does his double flip but he does not score. Hamburg's humiliation => Tsubasa didn't play because Misugi didn't know he was comming and didn't put him even as a reserve. -+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+- | | | PLAYER'S NAMES | | | -+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+- Some people may have seen part of the TV series (anime) or the manga and do not know the names of some players or they don't know their Japanese names. It doesn't mean all these players appear in the game, but are the most important players in the manga. Here's a chart showing the names I know and a little explanation in case you know who the player is but you don't remember the name (thanks to Toni and Manu, they helped me with some names): ----------------------- Japanese players ----------------------- ############### #Tsubasa Ozora# ############### Spanish name --------- Oliver Atton Latin-american name -- Oliver Atton Teams ---------------- Nankatsu (Small / Middle) Sao Paolo (High) Barcelona (Pro) Position ------------- Midfield Moves ---------------- Drive Shot Sky Wing Shot Golden Combination (with Misaki) Story ---- Tsubasa's story is almost the main story, so I'm not going to tell the story once again. ################### #Genzo Wakabayashi# ################### Spanish name --------- Benjamin Price (Benji) Latin-american name -- Benjamin Price (Benji) Teams he played in --- Shutetsu (Small) Nankatsu (Small) Hamburgar SV (Middle / High / Pro) Position ------------- Goalkeeper Characteristic moves - none Story ---- Genzo is the "stop-it-all" goalkeeper and his goal has never been scored by any kind of ball... until Tsubasa arrives at Nankatsu City. Then he joins his forces with Tsubasa in the national tournament and they win. After that, he goes to Germany with his personal coach and starts playing for Hamburgar SV. He plays against Japan in a friendly match and wins 5-1, but once in the Jr. Youth Tournament plays with Japan. After that, he goes on playing in Germany and plays in the World Youth. He goes back to Germany afterwards. ############# #Taro Misaki# ############# Spanish name --------- Tom Becker Latin-american name -- Tom Misaki Teams he played in --- appart from various teams: Meiwa (Small) Nankatsu (Small / High) Jubilo Itawa (Pro) Position ------------- Midfield Characteristic moves - Golden Combination (with Tsubasa) Story ---- Misaki always travelled with his father around Japan. He loved football, but the rest of the children never played with him. Then his father gave him a football and started to play everywhere. He played in many teams, like Meiwa (with Hyuga and Sawada) and played with other children who wiould make a team later (Matsuyama and his friends), before arriving at Nankatsu City, where he stayed until the tournament was finished. After that, they moved to his mother's city because his father was giving a exposition (he's a painter). Then the organizators told hi he could do a tour in Europe, and he told Misaki to stay with his mother, but he didn't want. Once in Europe, he met Wakabayashi in Germany, trained some guys in Italy and finally went to France, where he met Pierre. Then he joined the Japanese team. I don't know anything more about him, but the fact he returns to Japan to play in the J-League after the World Youth. ############## #Ryo Ishizaki# ############## Spanish name --------- Bruce Harper Latin-american name -- Bruce Harper Teams he played in --- Nankatsu (Small / Midde / High) Jubilo Itawa (Pro) Position ------------- Defender Characteristic moves - Gammen Block (blocks the ball with his face) Story ---- He was the captain of Nankatsu until it was combined with the other 3 schools and Nankatsu FC was formed. He's not very good with the ball, but he has incredible guts, and that's why he was called to play in the national team. He always played in Nankatsu until he had to leave it to play in pro teams in the J-League. He also played the two World Tourn. ############## #Kojiro Hyuga# ############## Spanish name --------- Marc Lenders Latin-american name -- Steve Hyuga Teams he played in --- Meiwa (Small) Toho (Middle / High) Juventus (Pro) Position ------------- Forward Characteristic moves - Tiger Shot Raiju Shot Breaking Dribble Story ---- Since he was little he was very agressive. His love to his father was enormous, so when he died Hyuga took care of his mother and brothers working in his father's job, at the same time he trained. Thats the reason why he has that incredible physical preparation. When Sawada entered Meiwa he became his friend. He also told Misaki (when he was in Meiwa) that in order to play football well he had to use his physical power. After he lost to Tsubasa in the Japanese Tournament, he enterd Toho but that team made him weaker (his old coach said), so he went to see his old coach and trained in te beach until he reached his old level, but couldn't beat Tsubasa even when he was injured. Some years later, (after the Jr. Youth) he won Nankatsu at last, but Tsubasa was not there anymore. Before the World Youth, we was kicked from the national team and started to train hard again (he developed Raiju Shot then). Finally, he reentered the Japanese team. ################# #Ken Wakashimazu# ################# Spanish name --------- Ed Warner Latin-american name -- Richard? Teams he played in --- Meiwa (Small) Toho (Middle / High) Nagoya Grampus Eight (Pro) Position ------------- Goalkeeper Characteristic moves - He jumps to the post to jump further Story ---- Since he was a child he did karate to continue with his father's dojo. He injured his right shoulder trying to save a dog from being run over. When he was 12 he began to train football with Meiwa, revealing his qualities as goalkeeper. His debut was against Furano, stopping Matsuyama's PK. He played the Middle Tournament with Toho and he was the titular GK unitl the final match in the Jr. Youth (because of Genzo's fitght). He left the Japanese team before the Asian Cup because the coach did not trust him, although he came back later. ################ #Takeshi Sawada# ################ Spanish name --------- Dani Mellow Latin-american name -- Dani Teams he played in --- Meiwa (Small) Toho (Middle / High) Urawa Reds (Pro) Position ------------- Midfield Characteristic moves - none Story ---- A year younger than his pals, but his a much better technic due to his hard training. He played both World Tournaments. ################## #Hikaru Matsuyama# ################## Spanish name --------- Philip Calahan Latin-american name -- Arthur Callanhan Teams he played in --- Furano (Small / Middle / High) Consadole Sapporo (Pro) Position ------------- Midfield / Defender (later) Characteristic moves - Eagle Shot Story ---- He was part of Furano, which contnued to exists thanks to the addition of 11 new students. Only 11 players remained in the team. He joined the Japanese team with his pal Oda. He played Japanese and World High School Tournaments. ############ #Jun Misugi# ############ Spanish name --------- Julian Ross Latin-american name -- Andy Johnson Teams he played in --- Musashi (Small / Middle / High) F.C. Tokyo (Pro) Position ------------- Midfield Characteristic moves - Overhead kicks Story ---- He suffered a heart attack when he trained, and then his heart illness was discovered. Considered the best Small School player, but he could not beat Tsubasa because of his illness. He recovered 3 years later, but Hyuga made his heart hurt again. He joined the Japanese team as a coach, but he started playing as a defender in the Asian Cup. ####################### #Kazuo/Masao Tachinaba# ####################### Spanish name --------- Jason/James Derrick Latin-american name -- Kazuo/Mazao Korioto Teams they played in - Hot Dog (Sp) (Small / Middle) Akita (High) JEF United Ichihara (Pro) Position ------------- Forwards Characteristic moves - Triangle Shot Gemini Attack Skylab Hurricane Story ---- Always together, they can't play without each other. Nothin in special in their footballistic life, only that they were"fired" from the Japan Youth, so they developed 2 new abilities: Monkey Keep and Squirrel Jump. One of them played as the goalkeeper against the R.J. 7. ############ #Shun Nitta# ############ Spanish name --------- Patrick Everet Latin-american name -- David Teams he played in --- Otomo (Japan) Kashiwa Reysol (Japan) Position ------------- Forward Characteristic moves - Hayabusa Shot Story ---- Best forward from Otomo, with a great phisical preparation but low technic level. Against nankatsu, he didn't stop until he could score a volley goal. Maybe it was that what made him lose (he missed too many good opportunities). At first, wes was not called by the Japanese team, but he played the Jr. Youth at last. Some years later,he was forced to leave the Japanese team and he came back with a new ability: shooting either with his right or left leg. ############# #Makoto Soda# ############# Spanish name --------- Ralf Peterson Latin-american name -- Guillermo Teams he played in --- Azuma (Japan) Gamba Osaka (Japan) Position ------------- Defender Characteristic moves - Kamisori Shot Story ---- Called "leg-breaker", he injured all the players that were a menace for him, including Tsubasa. When he entered the Japanese team, he became softer, although he go a red card in the semifinals against France. He was fired from the Japan Youth and he came back with a new pass. ############## #Hiroshi Jito# ############## Spanish name --------- Clifford Yuma Latin-american name -- Víctor Teams he played in --- Hirado (Japan) Avispa Fukuoka (Japan) Position ------------- Defender Characteristic moves - A combined shot with Sano Story ---- When he was 15, he fought everyone he met and he challenged everybody, until the name of Tsubasa came to his ears. He began to train football using his phisical strenght, but he lost (how surprising!). He was fired from the Japan Youth, but he did not return with a new movement in special. ############## #Mitsuru Sano# ############## Spanish name --------- Sandy Winter Latin-american name -- ??? Teams he played in --- Hirado (Japan) Avispa Fukuoka (Japan) Position ------------- Forward Characteristic moves - A combind shot with Jito Story ---- Jito's pal and best friend. Teams he played in --- ??? (Japan) Inter Milan (Italy) Position ------------- Forward Characteristic moves - ??? (he autopasses the ball over his head) Story ---- When he played in Middle School, he played against Nankatsu. His coach was very strict with the tactic, so he replaced Shingo when he rushed to Morisaki's goal alone, dribbling all his opponents but Tsubasa (there's nobody who can beat this guy!). He was about to leave the team, but Tsubasa told him that if he really loved football he had to continue. He went to say goodbye to Tsubasa at the airport, and then he gave Shingo 3 lucky coins. He then went to Italy, where he entered Inter Milan. He was marginated because he made other player leave to take his place. At last, he gained their friendship. He ended up playing in the World Youth with Japan. ############## #Mamoru Izawa# ############## Spanish name --------- Paul Diamond Latin-american name -- ??? Teams he played in --- Shutetsu (Japan) Nankatsu (Japan) Yokohama F Marinos (Japan) Position ------------- Midfield Characteristic moves - None Story ---- Best Shutetsu's midfield, and second best in Nakatsu. Teams he played in --- Nankatsu (Japan) Shimizu S-Pulse (Japan) Position ------------- Goalkeeper Characteristic moves - none Story ---- Titulat goalkeeper in Small School Tournament until the match against Meiwa. At first he was afraid of strong shots, but after a hard training with Tsubasa he became a decent reserve. Titular in the Middle School Tournament and in an Asian Cup match, but he was so bad that he had to bereplaced by an injured Genzo. He was always the 3rd one. ################# #Takisugi Shingo# ################# Spanish name --------- Bob Denver Latin-american name -- ??? Teams he played in --- Nankatsu (Japan) Sanfrecce Hiroshima (Jpan) Position ------------- Defender Characteristic moves - none Story ---- Shutetsu's best defender. Japanese tournaments went old-fashioned when the first World Tournament in France took place and we saw in action those players like Pierre and Schneider. ################ #Gino Hernández# ################ Nationality ---------- Italy Teams he played in --- ??? Position ------------- Goalkeeper Characteristic moves - Golden Hand Story ---- The Italian team refused to play a friendly match against Japan after that match against Hamburgar. However, Tsubasa challenged the whole team and scored. Because of this, Gino knew how to stop Tsubasa's shot with ease once the Jr. Youth started. He played against Japan again, but only the last 15 minutes, because Hino injured his hands with his shots. ########## #Fan Díaz# ########## Nationality ---------- Argentina Teams he played in --- ??? Genzo describes him this way: "He's an exceptional player. He mixes Tsubasa's technic and Hyuga's strenght". That means that he has a dribble as good as Tsubasa's and a shot as strong as Hyuga's, so strong that he even injured Ken in the famous Japan vs Hamburgar SV. That was his last match in Hamburgar, before going to Bayern Munich. In international matches, he only lost 2: the finale between Japan and Germany and the match between Brazil and Germany (5-0). ############## #Duter Müller# ############## Nationality ---------- Germany Teams he played in --- ??? His weapon and disadvanteg is his size: he can stop shots easily, but not the low ones. ######### #Espadas# ######### Nationality ---------- Mexico Teams he played in --- ??? Position ------------- Goalkeeper Characteristic moves - none Story ---- He could stop every single shot from the Japanese team and he even scored one (this reminds me of certain Paraguay's GK...). However, he couldn't do anything against Tsubasa's Sky Wing Shot. ############ #Ryoma Hino# ############ Nationality ---------- Uruguay (also Japan) Teams he played in --- Real Japan Seven (I think) Position ------------- ??? Characteristic moves - ??? Story ---- Half Japanese, half Uruguayan. He was the captain of the R.J. 7. Story ---- Considered Brazil's best player by Roberto Hongo (and even World's). His total time played in the World Youth was no more then 30 minutes, because he was punished bacuse he was too individualist (even more than Hyuga?). In 2 minutes he could beat Genzo with an overhead kick, forcing the extra time, although he lost 3-2. You can choose 3 types of writing. Just choose one of the 3 squares at the top right corner. When you're finished, another menu will appear. The first square is for your team name, the second for your team name in short, the third for your team logo and the last is for choosing your uniform. Push B when finished. From now on, every time you reset your game the "continue" option will be available on the title screen. Let's now explain the main menu: ----------------------- J-League ----------------------- This is the name of the national football league in Japan. This is the big problem of this game: there's no story mode! This was the funniest mode of all the other Captain Tsubasa games, and they eliminated it! Oh, well. Anyway, if you want to play this mode, I'll explain it: *1st option: You will start playing the Season mode. The next menu will have other tree options. The firt one is to begin the league, the second is to go to the Card Management (the cards you will be using) and the third one will show you the league chart. *2nd option: You will start playing a tournament between the teams in the J-League. The next menu is exactly the same as in the J-League: 1 to play, 2 to Card Management and 3 to see the results. *3rd option: This takes you directly to the card management. *4th option: Here you can change your team (only Japanese teams, obviously). Remember that if you change your team, all the cards you've gotten with the previous one will be deleted. For each match you win, you'll get a card. If you change your team before finishing a league or a tournament, you'll lose all your cards, but they will be saved if you finish it. ----------------------- Free ----------------------- Well, here you WILL see your old friends, Japanese ones and those who played in other countries. You will only control one team: the one you created at the beginning of the game (when you put all that names). You'll have to decide which team are you going to play to (fristly, between the 16 J-League teams, but there are 8 more). The next menu is like the other ones: 1- Start to play 2- Go to Card Management 3- Switch between 1 & 2 to configure the players' movement. With one they can only run one square, but with 2 they can run two squares (consuming 2 movements) (this doesn't apply to the player with the ball and, obviously, the goalkeeper). 4- Go to the team configuration. It's the same screen that the one where you had to put your team's name. After each match you win, you'll get a card for your team. ----------------------- Collection ----------------------- Here you'll see all the cards you've collected in the game. When you select a card, at the left bottom some data will appear: J.Deck (how many cards of this type you have on the J-League mode), O.Deck (the same but in Free mode) and File (how many cards you can use in both modes). Press A or L to see detailed info about the card (such as a description, in Japanese, and how it affects your status). ----------------------- Trade ----------------------- If you had a "Captain Tsubasa" cartidge inserted in a Game Boy Advance and if you had a friend that also had a cartidge inserted in a Game Boy Advance you would be able to use this option, but I guess you're playing this game using an emulator, don't you? Anyway, if you're lucky enough and you can use this option, choose the 1st option to go to the card management (of your custom team), 2nd option to choose the card you're going to trade and the 3rd option when you and your friend are ready (he, or she, must also select this option, and you'll have to have your Game Boy Advances linked with a Link Cable). ----------------------- Help ----------------------- You can learn how to play here, but if you are reading this I think it would be useless. ********************************************************************************* -+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+- | | | CARD MANAGEMENT | | | -+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+- Before you begin a match, it would be usefull to take a look at this option, because here you decide which cards may appear in the field. This menu is divided into 3 different screens. ----------------------- Main Screen ----------------------- This screen is divided into 8 lines, each one with a number. Each line can hold up to 8 cards, but in total you can only have 60 cards, so if you want to remove a card from the list, push B when the cursor is over it. Push L to have a description of the card, A to go to the formation and left to go to the card menu. ----------------------- Card Menu ----------------------- This is a list of all the cards you've got. If you push select (or start, I don't remember) you can choose the order you can display them, but I think it's useless. If you want, select the 3rd one: it will display the cards in the order of the number of the card. Push right if you want to return to the Main screen. Now I'll explain the squares: --------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | | | | | 2 | 3 4 5 | | 1 | | | | |----------------------------------------------------------------| | | | | | 6 7 8 [ 9 ] 10 | --------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1 - Picture of the card. Since the game is in Japanese, you should pay attention to it because you'll have to recognize the card by the picture. 2 - Card's number type. This number goes from 1 to 8 and it is the one that tells you in which line will go the card in the Main screen. 3 - Name of the card. If it's a movement or something like that it will show you the name of the movement, if it's a player it'll show his name. 4 - If the card is a Head Coach card (purple) it will show the formation that will be used if the card is selected (see Formation"). If it's a Player card, it will show 3 letters and numbers (see "Card explanation" for more details). S - Shoot K - Keep D - Defence 5 - If the card you are watching is a Tactic (yellow) or a Supporter (green) card, it will show a "C" and a number, which indicates how many moves it will cost to use the card. If it's a Reverse card (red), the "W" and the number will indicate how many turs you'll have to wait until the card is available. 6 - The number that appears here is the number of the card. You know, the one that is given to each card in a collection. 7 - In this rectangle you can see 2 thigs: the colour and the 2 letters. This rectangle shows you which type of card it is. See "Card explanation" for more details. In general, there are green cards (Support), yellow cards (Tactic), red cards (Reverse), blue cards (Player) and purple cards (Head Coach). 8 - If the card selected is a Player's card there will be a flag here, which indicates the team the player plays in. 9 - The number that is here tells you how many cards you haven't put in the main deck (the one in the Main screen). Of course, if you have 0 it means that all the cards of this type are already in the main deck. 10 - This number tells you how many cards of this type you've got in your main deck. Press A if you want to take one card of a certain type to the main deck. Make sure that there's an empty space in the line that indicates the card (1~8), otherwise you wouldn't be able to take it. One more thing: there's a maximum number of cards of each type you can take to the main deck (I think it's 3 per type). You know it because the numbers that indicate how many cards you've got are red instead of white. ----------------------- Formation ----------------------- Here you will decide which players are going to play in the initial 11. These are the positions: HC - Head Coach GK - Goalkeeper DF - Defenders MF - Midfields FW - Forward To choose which card you will put in the initial team, you'll have to select the position, then press A and then choose the player that will be in that position. Remember that you can only make the players play in their positions, so you can't out Tsubasa as a FW since he's a MF, or Ishizaki as a GK (he's a DF). One more thing. In J-League mode, you can't use as a Player card those players that are from other clubs. So don't try to use the Tachinaba brothers (JEF United) on Avispa, for example. You can always put them on your main deck, but you can only use them as battle cards only (see "Battling"). --------------------------- How to remove and add cards --------------------------- I'll put on expample that can sum up all the things I've said (as I said them I think it seems a bit complicated, but in fact it is very simple). ####################### #Identifying your card# ####################### Let's say that you've just gained a new player card (a FW, for example) and you want him to play in the initial 11. Go to the card management menu and push left to go to the card menu. You find your card: it has number 5. You push A to add it to the main deck but the game does not allow you to do it. It seems that line 5 in the main deck has already 8 cards, which is the maximum. Push right to return to the Main screen. ################# #Removing a card# ################# Yes, you were right: line 5 is complete. Now you'll have to decide which card is less useful. But supose you want all that kind of cards, but you have 3 cards of the same type. You may want to remove one of those because you think you'll be fine. Ok, supose that you have 3 "Drive Shot" cards. Move the cursor over one of them and then press B to remove it (if it's a player card and the player is in the initial 11 you'll have to remove him form his position. I'll explain it afterwards). Now that you have an empty space, go back to the Card menu pressing left. ################################ #Adding a card to the main deck# ################################ Look for your card once again. Once you've found it, press A and you'll see your card has been put in the main deck. You notice that the number that was in brackets has gone down by one an the number to its right has gone up one. Your card is already in the main deck. Press right to go back to the Main screen. ##################### #This isn't finished# ##################### If it weren't a Player or Head Coach card you'll be finished (or if you want him to be in the reserve). You'd only have to press start an choose the first option to leave the Card management (make sure that you have 60 cards in the main deck. If not - you can see it in the top right corner - just add more cards). But you want him to play in the initial 11, don't you? Press A to go to the Formation. ################################# #Choose the player to substitute# ################################# Now you can see many squares with Player cards and one at the top with a headquarter's card. If you don't have any cards here (this may occur at the beginnig of the game) you must put first a Head Coach card to set the formation (4-4-2, 4-3-3, etc.). Just do the same I'm going to explain using a Head Coach card. Choose the position where the player's going to play. Remember to choose a FW position (if the player were a DF, choose a DF position). Once you choose the position that is occupied by another player press A. ####################### #Make the substitution# ####################### You'll be back at the Main screen, but you can only see the player's cards that play in the position (in our case FWs). Choose the player you want to introduce and press A again. You'll return to the Formation screen and you'll see your player remplacing the other one. Ok, the substitution is complete. Now push B to go back to the Main screen. ############## #Finishing...# ############## If you want to remove the old Player card, press B, but you'll have to put another card instead. This is the moment to press start, choose the first option and return to the previous screen (remember ou have to have 60 cards in the main deck, otherwise you wouldn't be able to leave the Card Management). ********************************************************************************* -+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+- | | | CARD EXPLANATION | | | -+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+- Pay special atention to this since it's the basis of the game. A card looks like this: ------------------------- | 1 2 | 1 - Number Type of the card. The same as "2" | | in the Card management. | | | | 2 - Card type (if it's a player card it will | | show the position). | 3 | | | 3 - Picture of the card. | | | | 4 - Some illegible notes that would indicate | | what the card does. Just for decoration. | | |-------------------------| | | | 4 | | | | | ------------------------- There are many types of cards. Each one has its own function, so I'll explain it type by type: -------------------------------- Head Coach cards (purple) -------------------------------- These cards are used to determinate the formation of the team, so when you examine a Head Coach card you must be able to see the formation (4-4-2, 4-3-3, etc.). In order to activate the formation, you must put the card with the formation you want in the top square at the Formation in the Card management. It can't be used for other purposes, so having it in the main deck but not in the Formation screen is a waste of space. Remove it inmediatedly. Before you put any players in the initial 11, you'll have to decide a formation using this kind of cards. -------------------------------- Player cards (blue) -------------------------------- These are in some way the most important cards in the game: without them, you can do nothing. These cards are divided in 4 sub-types: GK (goalkeeper), DF (defender), MF (midfield) and FW (forward). You must have 11 player cards in the initial 11, but their position must match with the position in the field (you can't make Tsubasa, who's a MF, play as a FW or DF, or even less as a GK). You can have players in the main deck to make subtitutions during the match (see "Once in the field..."). All Player's cards have three qualities: S (Shoot), K (Keep) and D (Defense). These qualities are only used in "battles". See the section "Battling" to see more. There are some special Player cards. In some part at the bottom of the screen you'll see "LV UP". It means this card will level your player up, but only in the field. To level him up, choose the "Substitute" command (see next section), then the "LV UP" card and it would be as if you substitute a player for another wich is exactly the same but with better status. -------------------------------- Supporter cards (green) -------------------------------- The green cards I've seen so far just add more moves in a turn. You can use this kind of card during a match only, but they must be in the main deck, as the next types of cards. -------------------------------- Tactic cards (yellow) -------------------------------- The function of these cards can change from one card to another. In general, they build up your status for a turn or eliminate a card from you opponent. For example, they can make you pass the ball further with less consuming moves or, as I said, eliminate (not steal) a card from your opponent. See "How do I use this card?" to see the specific consequences. -------------------------------- Reverse cards (red) -------------------------------- These cards enable you to do the special moves, which are the basis of Captain Tsubasa games and series. But in order to use them you must "equip" them and enter a "Tackle Battle" or a "Shoot Battle". I'll explain this in the next section ("Once in the field..."), but for the moment just keep that they enable you to do the Drive Shot, Tiger Tackle and so on. Important note: every player can use every single special move, so don't be alarmed if you see Tsubasa and Matsuyama using the Skylab Shot, for example. ********************************************************************************* -+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+- | | | ONCE IN THE FIELD... | | | -+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+- So you have set all your cards and you want to start to play, don't you? OK, choose the mode you want to play, choose a team if necessary and choose to begin the match. The referee will throw a coin to see which team will get the ball first (there's no field chose). I don't know when you get the ball or not (if it's heads or tails), but it doesn't matter since it's 100% random. -------------------------------- General observations -------------------------------- ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ |/ | | | | | | | | | \| |:::|___|___|___|_|_|___|___|___|:::| | || | | | | | | | || | _|__||___|___|___|_|_|___|___|___||__|_ GOAL | | || | | |/|\| | | || | | GOAL |_|__||___|___|___|\|/|___|___|___||__|_| | || | | | | | | | || | |:::|___|___|___|_|_|___|___|___|:::| | | | | | | | | | | | |\__|___|___|___|_|_|___|___|___|__/| MIDFIELD The field is a 9x5 rectangle made of squares that can contain up to four players, appart from these squares, there's the golakeeper zone (it can only be occupied by the goalkeeper and he can't get out of there). ------------------------------------------------- | 1 | | | | | | | | 2 | | | | 3 | | | | | | | |-------------------------------------------------| |_____________________4___________________________| | 5 6 | ------------------------------------------------- 1 - The balls here represent the moves you can do in this turn. 2 - The main screen, you know, where you can see the field, the players... 3 - When you press A over a player to display the command menu, the card of the player will be here. If you select a card in using a command (see below), that card will appear. 4 - When you press A (not over an opponent), a menu will appear: the command menu. You can perform all the moves using this. 5 - This will show you the current score, but if you move the cursor over a player, you'll see his name, card number, number type, position... 6 - Here you'll see how much time has passed since you began the half. If you stand over a player, you'll see his stats (Shoot, Keep and Defense). When it's your turn, 7 cards will appear on the screen. These cards are taken from the main deck and they're the ones you can use (they are selected randomly). When it's your turn again, your 7 cards will be refilled if you've used at least one card, but if you haven't, another card will appear and you'll have to eliminate one of the 8. You can do in each turn up to 4 moves. Almost everything consumes a move (see the commands explanation to see which is considered a move or which is not). -------------------------------- Commands -------------------------------- When it's your turn, press A anywhere in the field (but over an opponent) to call the menu. There will be some icons that represent the commands you're going to use. I'll explain now the commands - they don't change very much if you have the ball or not: ###### #Card# ###### If you select this first command, your 7 cards will appear, some crossed out. The ones that are crossed out can't be used (Reverse cards - red - can't be used here, as well as Player - blue -,HC - purple - and some Tactic cards). Here you can only use Supporter - green - cards (to add more moves) and Tactic - yellow - cards, when the situation requires it. Does it consume a move? It depends: Supporter cards don't, but some Tactic cards do, so take a look at the "How do I use this card?" section for a more detailed explanation. ###### #Move# ###### The cursor must be over a player to enable this option. Choose this command and then the cursor must be moved to the place you want the player to go. The number of spaces a player can move depens on the configuration you set before the match. If you set "1", players can only move one square (in any direction, of course), but if you selected "2", they'll be able to move two (only "Free"). However, moving two squares will consume 2 moves, so be careful. The player with the ball can only move one square, doesn't matter the configuration. ###### #Pass# ###### This command is only available when you are in possesion of the ball and you select the player who's got the ball. You can recognize it because you see a ball and a "P" in the icon. This is like the "Move" command, but you can pass the ball to anyone in the field if you've got enough remaining moves. For example, if you want to pass tha ball to a mate that is in the next square, you'll consume 1 move, if he's two squares away, you'll consume 2, etc. You can only pass the ball to a mate, never to an opponent or an empty space. However, after a pass you won't be able to use these commands: "Card" and "Move", and if you want to shoot, you must use a special shot (I don't mean you can use any special shot: you can only use shots wich are volleys or overheads). ####### #Shoot# ####### This command is only available when you have selected the player with the ball. The player will rise his leg waiting to shoot. Before confirming the shot, you can choose to use either a special shot or either a normal shot. After confirming the shot, your turn is over, so be careful. The number of moves required is the number of squares between you and the goal plus the goalkeeper's square. So if you shoot inside the area you'll need one move, if it's from just outside the area, two, etc. After you confirm the shot, the opponent will have an extra turn. ######## #Tackle# ######## This will be available only when you are defending and your player is in the same square as the opponent who has the ball. This will automaticly begin a "Tackle Battle". It will consume a move, but will end the turn inmediatedly. ############### #Reverse cards# ############### If you select this command, three empty spaces will appear. In these three spaces you can put red cards (or remove one you'd already put). Select one space and your 7 cards will appear, but only red cards will be available. Putting red cards in these spaces will enable you to use special moves in the "Tackle Battle" and in the "Shoot Battle". It won't consume any moves, but you can only put or remove only one card per turn. ############### #Substitutions# ############### You must select a player to use this command. After you confirm the command, your 7 cards will appear. In order to change your player, you'll have to have a Player's card among that 7 cards (and that matches the player's position, you know, DF, GK...). You won't have to wait until there's a foul or the ball gets out of the field (in that case, you wouldn'd be able to do almost any substitution). I think it consumes a move, but I'm not too sure. ####### #Arrow# ####### You can change between the info menu and the command menu. I'll explain the 2 "commands" that appear in the info menu. ########### #Card info# ########### This takes you to a screen where you can see your 7 cards, the 3 cards you've got in you reserve and another 3 spaces I don't know what they are. Press L to see some info about the card. If you press R, you can see your opponent's cards, but you can't see which they are (and the L fuction is disabled). ############# #Player info# ############# Takes you to the card info screen of the Player card you've selected. It's the same as pressing L over the player. -------------------------------- Rules -------------------------------- - You are allowed to make only 4 moves per turn, but you can do less. - The team that has the ball must move it (passing, shooting or moving the player) at least once a turn. - There can only be 4 players in the same square, but with a maximum of three per team. - After passing the ball, no player can use the commands "card", "move", "pass" and the player with the ball can only use special volleys or overheads. - You can't tackle if the opponent has announced a shot. - You are only allowed to use a Tactic card per turn. - You can only put or remove one Reverse card per turn. -+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+- | | | BATTLING | | | -+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+- When two players are directly implicated in an action, a battle automaticaly begins. Depending on the battle type, two of the player's qualities (one each) are confronted: ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- | BATTLE TYPE | PLAYER WITH BALL | PLAYER WITHOUT BALL | |---------------------+-------------------------+-----------------------------| | | | | | Tackle Battle | Keep (K) | Defense (D) | | | | | |---------------------+-------------------------+-----------------------------| | | | | | Shoot Battle | Shoot (S) | Defense (D) | | | | | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Both battle types have the same structure, but to make it more clear, I'll explain them separatedly. Because I've had some critics about this, I'll rewrite the explanation, doing it more detalied: -------------------------------- Tackle Battle -------------------------------- ############################ #What is a "Tackle Battle"?# ############################ You know that in real football matches the 10 "normal" players try to recover the ball form their opponents. They normally mark them and sometimes they tackle them. "Tackle Battle" is the name Konami gave to the way the game sees whether the tackler recovers the ball or not. ############################## #How to enter a Tackle Battle# ############################## If you want to recover the ball you'l have to go into a "Tackle Battle". In order to do this you must be in the same square as the opponent that has the ball. Once you've done it, you must choose the command "Tackle" in the menu (see the previous section). Remember that it costs one move, so be sure you have at least one left. To make the battle easier it is recomendable to have some team mates in the square, but I'll explain it later. ###################### #How the battle works# ###################### After you choose the "Tackle" command, the battle will begin. The game is 0% action, so you won't have handle your player or push some buttons. Yes, you'll be using cards. The screen that appears looks like this: --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | OPPONENT'S NAME \ ----- ----- ----- | | \ S | || || || |----------------------------------------------------- | B || R || P || | | || || || | | || || || |------------------------------------------------------------ ----- ----- ----- | | ----- ----- ----- VS | || || || | S | || P || R || B | ------------------------------------------------------| || || || | / YOUR PLAYER'S NAME | || || || | / | |------ ----- ----- ------------------------------------------------------------| | | | (C) | |----------------- | | ??? \ | |---------------------------------------------------------------------------------| | CARD EXPLANATION | | | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Here you can see many things written in Japanese, but ter really important ones are those marked with letters. P - These are the Players cards tat are going to participate directly in the battle. Just that. R - Here's the Reverse card you and your opponent have chosen from your three reserve cards B - This third card is just to rise the final score. I'll explain it later. S - This is the score. Your aim is to have a higher score that the opponent if you want to win the battle. C - Here there will be appearing cards from where you must choose the ones you want to use. ############ #How to win# ############ This is the important matter: if you can't win, why do you bother entering a battle? I'll explain here, step by step, what you have to do to win: 1 - Before entering the battle, make sure you have the apropiate cards to win. If not, don't waste your time. 2 - Once in the battle screen, an initial score is set, which matches with the qualties that are going to take place (Keep and Defense). 3 - Automaticly, extra points will be added to your score. How many? It depends on the number of extra team mates that were in the same square as your player and the opponent before starting the battle. 4 - Now you have to choose a special tackle card. You must choose one from the three Reverse card you have previously "equiped". See the card section to see how may points it adds to the score. 5 - You have to choose a third card and add it to the score. The number of points it adds is determinated by the number type of the card. Pay attention to this: the score that appears now isn't the final score. You have to wait until the secondary effects of the Reserve cards take place. 6 - Now the recount begins. You see how many points each card adds to the score and how some Reseve cards work. If after the battle you draw, you must throw a dart to see which of the two players keep the ball. I don't know what each number does, but it's completely random. The player that gets or keeps the ball will start playing his turn. The loser(s) can't be used in 1 turn. ######### #Example# ######### The best way to understand things is seeing an example: 1 - Tsubasa, one of your opponents, has the ball. - You move Jito and Sano, two of your players, to Tsuasa's square. This consumes two of your moves. - You equip card 474: Tiger Tackle. - You use the "Tackle" command with Jito, using one of the two remaining moves, so the battle begins. 2/3 - Your initial score is 6, since your Defense is 5 and one extra player, Sano, is hepling Jito. 4 - You choose the "Tiger Tackle" card from your Reverse cards, so it will add 3 points to the score. Tsubasa uses a special dribble, but you can't see which yet. 5 - You choose card no. 407, which adds 8 points to your score. Tsubasa adds another card, but you can't see it. Now the recount begins. Here you can see which have both of you used and their effects. 6 - The initial score is 6 for Tsubasa (Tsubasa's Keep is 6), and yours is also 6 (Defense 5 + 1 extra defender). - The 3 points of the Tiger Tackle are now added, but watch out: Tsubasa uses card no 445, which adds nothing to the score but gets rid of your special tackle, so your scoes goes back to 6. - The final cards. Both last cards are revealed and you see both of you have chosen a number type 8 card, so you draw. It's time to throw the dart. You throw it and, luckily, you get the ball. This time worked, but it may not do so next time. Here's how it went: ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- |Player |Initial score| Reserve card | Score| 3rd card| Final score | |-------+-------------+-----------------------+------+----------+-------------| | Jito | 5 + 1 | Tiger Tackle |6+3-3 | + 8 | 14 | | (you) | | (D + 3) | = 6 | | | |-------+-------------+-----------------------+------+----------+-------------| |Tsubasa| 6 | Card 445 | 6 | + 8 | 14 | | | |(Eliminates opponent's | | | | | | | special tackle) | | | | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- ######################## #If you're the dribbler# ######################## The battle goes equally, but with some changes: - It is your opponent who iniciates the battle. - Even if you have team mates in the same square as you, they won't add points. - Your opponent chooses the cards first. - You can see your opponent's special tackle card, but not the 3rd card. -------------------------------- Shoot Battle -------------------------------- ########################### #What is a "Shoot Battle"?# ########################### "Shoot Battle" is the name that receives the way the computer knows if you have scored or not. It's not very complicated: a shoot battle is the "battle" between a player that shoots to the goal trying to score and the goalkeeper that tries to catch the ball. ############################# #How to enter a Shoot Battle# ############################# Your aim in the match is to score goals, right? So the Shoot Battle is the most important moment. To enter a Shoot Battle you must select the "Shoot" command with the player that has the ball, who must obviously be one of yours. Remember that you must have the same (or more) moves as the distance between you and the goal. As I explained, it is determinated by the number of squares. Let's say you're just outside the area, so you must have at least 2 moves left (1 is the goal square and the other is one square between you and the goalkeeper, which is one of the 3 squares inside the area). ###################### #How the battle works# ###################### After you choose the "Shoot" command, you'll have to say if you want to use a special shot (from one of your three Reverse cards, if you have an adecuate one) or not. This is the moment you have to choose: if you choose not to use a special shot, you won't be able to do so later. Once finished, your opponent will have an extra turn in order to prepare the defense. During this turn, a square will appear in the top right corner, showing this: S - Your player's shoot, which is the initial score. R - Reverse card's extra points, because of the special shot. Player - If the player is crossed, it means defenders can't help the goalkeeper (only with some special shots, like Drive Shot). Once the turn ends, the battle begins. The squeme is almost equal to the "Tackle Battle", so it will be easy (the screen is the same, so I won't put it). ############ #How to win# ############ I don't have to say this event can change the way the match went before, do I? A goal in football is not the same as a goal in handball. In handball you can finish a match with 15 goals, but a football match can end 1-0, so if you win this battle it will be enough to draw or win the match. 1 - Before entering the battle, make sure you have the apropiate cards to win. If not, don't waste your time. Also make sure there are the less defenders as possible between you and the goal (remember that the opponent will have an extra turn). 2 - Once you choose to shoot, the opponent has an extra turn to prepare the defense. He can "equip" Reverse cards, move the defenders... Everything but use the "Tackle" command. 3 - Once in the battle screen, an initial score is set, which matches with the qualties that are going to take place (Shoot and Defense). 4 - Automaticly, extra points will be added to the goalkeeper's score. One point for each defender who is in the trayectory of the ball (the iluminated squares that appeared after choosing the "Shoot" command). 5 - Unlike the "Tackle Battle", the special shot must have been selected before the battle, so you can't choose a Reverse card from one of your three reserve cards, but your opponent can, if he wants to, use a special save. 6 - You have to choose a third card and add it to the score. The number of points it adds is determinated by the number type of the card, just as in the "Tackle Battle". Pay attention to this: the score that appears now isn't the final score. You have to wait until the secondary effects of the Reverse cards take place. 7 - Now the recount begins. You see how many points each card adds to the score and how some Revese cards work. If the goalkeeper wins, he catches the ball and the opponent's turn begins, but if you win, you score. If after the battle you draw, the goalkeeper will hit the ball but not catch it. Then you must toss a dice. These are the effects: 1 ----- Goal: the ball enters the goal 2/3 --- Corner Kick 4/5/6 - The ball falls in one of the three iluminated squares, randomly If the ball falls in a square with a player, the ball is his, if there are more than one, the player that keeps the ball is selected randomly. If the ball falls in an empty square, the ball will have no owner and it will be your turn. The player that gets the ball will begin a new turn inmediatedly, so if you do well you can have 2 consecutive turns. ######### #Example# ######### The best way to understand things is seeing an example: 1 - Tsubasa, one of your players, has the ball and he's just outside the area (2 squares away the goal). - You "equip" the Drive Shot card (460) and move one square back, so you are 3 squares away. - You choose the "Shoot" command and the Drive Shot card. 2 - Your opponent has an extra turn. He moves two defenders to the ball's trayectory to help the goalkeeper, who is Morisaki. Then he ends the turn. 3 - The initial score is set: 5 for you (Tsubasa's Shoot is 5) and 6 for Morisaki (Defense = 4 + 2 defenders). 4/5 - Drive Shot adds automaticly 2 points to the score. Morisaki uses also a Reverse card, but you can't see it. 6 - You choose card no. 407, which adds 8 points to your score. Morisaki adds another card, but you can't see it. Now the recount begins. Here you can see which have both of you used and their effects. 7 - The initial score is set: 5 for you and 4 for Morisaki. Then the two defenders are added to the score, so Morisaki's score rises up to 6. - Then the Reverse cards take effect: Drive Shot adds 2 points to your score and eliminates the two defenders, so your score goes up to 7 and Morisaki goes down to 4, but he uses card no 472, which adds 3 to his score. - Then the last cards are revealed. Yours is a number type 8, but his is a number type 7, so you win and score. This is how it went: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |Player |Initial score| Reserve card |Score | 3rd card| Final score | |--------+-------------+-----------------------+------+----------+-------------| |Tsubasa | 5 | Drive Shot |5 + 2 | + 8 | 15 | | (you) | |(S + 2, eliminates DFs)| = 7 | | | |--------+-------------+-----------------------+------+----------+-------------| |Morisaki| 4 + 2 | Card 472 |6-2+3 | + 7 | 14 | | | | (D + 3) | = 7 | | | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ -------------------------------- Tips -------------------------------- The most powerful warrior is not the strongest one but the one who uses his strength wisely. Although you may think you've got really bad cards, think on their combination more than in their singular use. The most important thing in this game is to create a tactic between the eleven players. I can't teach you any particular tactic, because there's not a best tactic, but I'll tell you some things you must pay attention to when you build your tactic: - Don't battle for fun => Remember that battling also means wasting cards, which you may need later. Only battle when you think you can win or perform the tactic you are thinking of. - Don't waste cards => Sometimes, the battle might be solved just from the begining (like a 3-6), so don't waste your highest cards: use the lowest card you have to win surely (in the last example, if you have, use a card 6). - Pay attention to the Miracle => Be sure to have a number type 1 card just in case. You can still win although things look really bad (see the "Secrets" section to see what "Miracle" is). - Be careful with shooting => In "Tackle Battle" you may lose and you may try next time. But losing a shoot battle means that the opponent has scored, so don't doubt to use your best cards. ********************************************************************************* -+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+- | | | HOW DO I USE THIS CARD? | | | -+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+- You know how to use the cards, in the Card Management and in the field but... What's its effect on the game? Well, now it's time for a detailed explanation of every single card: -------------------------------- Head Coach and Players Cards -------------------------------- Since I read the card list made Gyo I think it is more clear to put the list as he did, because the cards are ordered by teams, not by type. Head Coach cards don't really need an explanation. You know that, in order to use them, you'll have to put them on the Formation screen in the Card Management. The effect this cards have is the formation you'll hev to use in matches. For example, if you put a "4-4-2" Headquarter's card, then 4 Defenders, 4 Midfields and 2 Forwards must be playing in the field, no more and no less. Player cards, as HC cards, don't really need an explanation. Remember that the player must play in his position (GK, DF...) and pay special attention to his status. "S" means "Shoot", "K" means "Keep" and "D" means "Defense". These qualities are used only in battles, so check that section for details. A player must have developed his most valuable quality: there's no use for a Goalkeeper who has 8 in "Shoot" but 2 in "Defense" (how's he gonna shoot? He can't move from the goal!). Here's the relation (the first one of each team is always a HQ card): ####################### #J-League Normal Cards# ####################### *Consadole Sapporo* No. 001 Name => Takeshi Okada Number You can transfer Tsubasa and other overseas players cards to J-League teams on the J-League mode instead of the Free mode. You'll have to follow these steps: 1 - Remove the Player card you want to transfer from the main deck in the Card Managment and replace it wth a J-League player. 2 - Go to the J-League mode and choose the team the player came from. You can put your Player card as a normal player. ***WARNING*** Be sure to remove your Player card from the J-League before you either finish a J-League or a Tournament or either you change your team, otherwise you'll lose yor card. I'm not kidding. ----------------------- Secret teams ----------------------- Some of you already know that there are 8 secret teams in Free mode. No? Some people got those cards and didn't work. Try getting other cards. - Hyuga's team => Collect all Reverse cards about Hyuga and Wakashimazu: 438, 445, 450, 452, 455, 470, 474, 480 - Captain Tsubasa SS => Get the lowest range on a Season (J-League mode) - Captain Tsubasa SC => Win a Tournament (J-League mode) - Captain Tsubasa FC => Win a Season (J-League mode) - J-League => Collect all the J-League Headquarter cards - Eikou no Kiseki => Finish 20 Seasons (J-League mode) - Captain Tsubasa FC+ => Win a Season with each of the 12 J-League teams ----------------------- How to get new cards ----------------------- Season => Victory 3 points: random / 2 points: Head Coach / 1 point: Head Coach Champion: J-Lague player's Level Up cards Tournament => 1st m.: J-League players / 2nd m.: Tactic or Supporter cards 3rd m.: Reverse cards / 4th m.: CT characters' Level Up cards Bonus: random Free Mode => Clubs - Players or Head Coaches of that team Tsubasa's Team - CT characters / Wakabayshi's and Hyuga's Reverse cards Hyuga's Team - Tactic cards Captain Tsubasa SS - Captain Tsubasa charaters' Level Up cards Captain Tsubasa SC - Head Coach or Tsubasa's pals cards Captain Tsubasa FC - Random J-League - J-League players' Level Up cards Eikou no Kiseki - Rare Tactic (or Reverse?) cards Captain Tsubasa FC+ - Super rare cards: CT characters' cards (and Level Up) Other Tactic and Reverse cards ----------------------- Miracle! ----------------------- I found this a couple of days ago. You know that in order to win a battle you have to get a higher score than the opponent, right? Well, not always. In the manga, sometimes the players won some of their "battles" by luck or unespectibly and the same happens here. You have to do this: Use a card with number type 1 and expect the opponent uses card with number type 8. If you do as I told you and you are lucky, you'll win, no matter what the score was. Firstly, make sure you know what you're doing. Remember you'll be using a type 1 card in the battle, and that's enought for the opponent to beat you. You see: Ability Reserve Score Total You 6 0 1 7 Opponent 4 0 X > 3 ---> Y > 7 You see: with a number type 4 card he'll be able to beat you, so watch out, there's a high possibility of losing the battle, and that supposing you have 6 in K (or D if you're the goalkeeper) an the opponent has 4 in D (or S if he's shooting). He'll normaly have a higher initial score. -+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+- | | | THANKS | | | -+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+- First of all, thanks to Yoichi Takahashi for creating Tsubasa and all the other players. Thanks to Konami for transferring the manga to the videogame world. I thought I would never play any more games! Thanks to Toni and Manu Castilla for helping me out with the names and some aditional information about the Japanese players. Thanks also to Marcos Sandoval for the latin names. And thanks to "1!" for Azuma, Soda's team. Thanks to Francis Tan for his contribution on the Card Management. Thanks to Raymond too, for telling me how to transfer cards to the J-League mode. Thanks also to Lewwin for his cards explanations. Gyo's card list also helped a lot. Of course, thanks to Video Game Addicted Person for correcting that huge amount of mistakes that were in the "Story so far" section. And that's all. I hope I have helped you to understand the game. But I don't know everything (I'm not God), so e-mail me (annetu@mundo-r.com) if you find out something important. But you don't have to write only to contribute: if you've got some comments or questions of his or other games, you can tell me, too.
