Strategy* ************* If you have any tips please feel free to send them. Offense Tips -Always check where and who you're receivers are before a play. -Turn Maximum passing on that way if you're in trouble you can lead a receiver. -Never Throw the ball away unless you're being blitzed. -Unlike most other games where the spin move is just inserted to make people happy it's very effective in this game and is a much faster way of getting around an opponent, one on one, than the stiff arm method. Defense Tips -Don't always blitz the quarterback, if they pass you're pretty much screwed. -A good way to get to the QB without sending linebackers is to use a play that will cross the DT with the DE. I use the Bucs, so I use Warren Sapp. Once the ball is snapped use the speed burst button to get outside and around the LT and dive for the QB. Sometimes a RB will be there, and about half the time you can get around him. The QB will throw away the ball a lot because of the pressure. I created a play where my where my DT's and DE's both cross, having the DT's cross out. This also makes it almost impossible for RB to run up the middle. -To Sack The QB- Right Before the ball is snapped use the *x* button to pump up the crowd. The repeatedly hit A and when the ball is snapped you will be in the backfield before the QB can pass the ball and before the running back can get out of the backfield. Special Team Tips -Never kick/punt out of bounds unless you kick behind the endzone. -The easiest way to block a punt is by taking your left DE and moving out about 3 yards past the furthest left offensive linemen move up to the line of scrimmage and anticipate the snap, I start to go when the kick power bar starts to move then run around the man who attempts to pick you up and do an a line right for the kicker , dive and tackle him, don't attempt to jump and block it. ************ *6. Network* ************ My Network Record: 4-2 My Network Screename: SychoBubbaCrusty If you wanna challenge me I'm usually in the Central server. I have really no idea of what to put in here but if you have any ideas please feel free to e-mail me. ***Quitters*** Send in your quitters names to my e-mail. 1. Torcha - Quit in the first quarter after he was down by 14points 2. Brad79 - Quit after THE FIRST PLAY when my Emmitt Smith ran for a gain of 65yards 3. pimpie-I was beating him 14-0 in the first and he quit. he had 2 players also. 4. "kevinnash" and he quit after one series in the first quarter. He went for it on 4th and 12 on his own 10 yard line and didn't make it. So he promptly quit before I ever got to touch the ball!! (Note: This dude sounds like the biggest loser so far!!!) 5. 'KingOfGames' left after the 3rd quarter cause I was up 35-0. 6. 'uppercut' also left in the 4th cause I was up. 7. notredame- quit when I ran back a fumble for a TD to lead 10-0 8. poopoo- Went up by 5 with 1:48 left and he quit. 9. downsouthboyz- quit when I started beating him in the first with the Bears (he had the Rams). ******** *7. Q/A* ******** Send In Your Questions. Q: Can You Use Created Teams In Franchise Or Season Modes? A: I have tried but to no avail. I really wish you could. And If Anybody knows e-mail it to me. Q: I had was about their juke move. NFL2K didn't had one, did they do a good job with this addition, or does it look like a half hearted attempt. A: I personally like it but it may be too powerful somewhat like last years Stiff Arm. Q: When playing a network game and vmu play calling is off, can your opponent see what play you are picking on the screen? A: No they can't Q: Every time I try to download rosters it comes back and says unable to apply patch file. Do you have any tips for me, or have you encountered this problem at all? I'd really appreciate your help on this. I want to download those rosters. I think that is the coolest feature game has to offer this year. A: I don't believe Sega has put an updated Roster up yet. ************* *8. Glitches* ************* Send In Your Glitches. Sound Glitch- Sometimes In A Blowout The Announcers will act as if it is a really close game. Playcalling Glitch- First go to the options screen and turn 'VMU playcalling ON'. Then in the section that says type of playcalling turn the option to 'Type of play' and NOT formation. Then start a game in exhibition mode and pick any two teams while playing one person as the one team and another person as the other. The person that get to be on defense 1st needs to use the L and R buttons to scroll through your defensive plays on the VMU screen. If you use the L key it will make the entire game lock up!!! I have tried this on separate Dreamcast systems with separate copies of the game. Sound Glitch - When you tackle the punter the game announcers act as if the kick was made and the ball was returned to the point of the sack. You're still given a sack in your statistics. Bucs Glitch- I am playing a franchise season with the Bucs. I went 16-1 in my regular season giving me the best record on the year. So that would mean I should have homefield advantage throughout the playoffs and superbowl right?? but when I plowed through the other teams and made it to the superbowl. My first place Bucs was the VISITING team in the superbowl. That shit pissed me off. I was supposed to be the home team especially being that the superbowl is in Tampa. Has this happened to U ? Update: The game goes by record not whether it's in Tampa or not. ********** *9. Codes* ********** Send In your codes. Speed Up Your Modem- This Is Really A Code But It Will Speed Your Modem Up. In The Version 2.0 Browser Go To The Modem Int. Area And Replace AT&F With ATs28=56. Add A Created Team In Season- Go to Season and select "Custom" from the season options. Then u click on a team that u "DO NOT" want to play against (I usually do the worst team). Then it will take u to another screen and if u scroll all the way to the bottom u will see your team. Then just go to "Team Select" and click on your team. It's that easy Created Player In Franchise- 1st. go to customize screen then create a player.2nd. then go to Fantasy ,4 teams, hit A button (note you will lose season or franchise you are in so I recommend you use other vmu if afraid.)hit on 4 teams, press start on select teams, press start on setup names, then when ask for yes or no hit yes, then CPU starts to draft hit start ,on CPU complete Draft? hit yes, then go to Quit, Now go to Franchise mode hit YES, Setup your franchise then (I leave fantasy draft off) hit start , pick management, go to signings your created player will be there!! cut a player on your team pick him up!!!! I have only tried ONE created player so far it does work. go to depth chart and start him. It is simple really I just going really in depth here for you guys. ************* *10.
